They told me they would be able to come the following week and I said that's perfect because we wanted to put topsoil down in certain areas over the weekend. Two days later (a Friday), unannounced, they show up and start unloading equipment. I had to turn them away and they could come back the next week. We finished what we needed to over the weekend and let them know they could come by anytime. They came back (unannounced but that was fine because we were out of town and seemed to have done a good job with my parents so i had their recommendation) and aerated and seeded. When we came back home two days later, I walked the yard and noticed they only worked on the front yard. It's VERY clear what areas get aerated and there was NO evidence of that any part of the backyard had been touched. I let our contact know and sent pictures (you can zoom in and tell it was not aerated), he said he would send someone back and do the missed area; I even asked that he gives me a heads up so I can make sure I was home to ensure they did everything correctly. Well, they came by this morning, unannounced. I was not able to make it outside before they had already "finished" and left. To my surprise, they still missed many areas. I took new pictures, sent them over. Again, you can zoom in on the pictures and clearly tell those areas were not touched. He argued that it wasn't part of the lawn and was a pile of weeds (yes, there are weeds... there are currently weeds all over our yard). There were NO weeds in those areas the first time they came as we had cleared them all and put down top soil to prep for the seed. I called the guy and it got heated and he said he would only come to even take a look if I paid extra; I was not going to give this company any additional money so I declined and decided to just do it myself. Rent an aerator, buy seed, etc... on top of his bill. Save yourself money and multiple headaches by using another company or doing it yourself. Additionally, all of this could have been avoided if I had received a message saying "Hey, we're coming by tomorrow morning."

I called the number and asked The man who answered if he was the one driving the truck. He responded he was and I told him that he almost caused a major accident and made me drive into cones. He told me that I should've seen the merge ahead and I told him that he shouldn't be speeding past me while we were about to merge while towing a trailer. He argued and was very confrontational so I filed a police report. Screw this company and beware of them because they do not care about other people's safety or lives. In brief: we hired John last year for a full landscape project, and it turned out horribly. John was essentially never present during the installation, and it quickly became clear that his workers had no idea what had actually been agreed on in the plans. Plants were substituted without any discussion, and several existing bushes that were specifically supposed to stay were ripped out and never replaced. They even tried to dig up Agave from another section of my yard, replant them elsewhere, and still charge me for the price of "new" plants. After everything went sideways, I could not get a hold of John to address the issues. Eventually I left a 1-star review out of sheer frustration. Only after I posted the review did he respond--saying he would only come out to look at the problems if I took the review down. Wanting my yard fixed, I obliged. John came out, saw the condition of the yard, and even acknowledged that the plants Kelly Green installed looked nothing like the original plan and that he didn't know why they were all dying. We agreed that his company would return to make things right. Then...nothing. Weeks went by with no contact. After multiple prompts from me, he finally sent a "proposal" to fix the yard--one that included over $4,000 in labor, even though we had already paid once and the work was not delivered correctly the first time. I told him I was willing to pay for the cost of new plants, but I did not feel I should pay labor again for his company's mistakes. He said he would revisit the numbers, but again, after weeks and multiple follow-ups, he never responded. I ultimately hired a different company to fix the project--at less than half of what Kelly Green tried to charge me just for labor alone. For reference, John apparently thought it was reasonable to charge $65 to plant a single 5-gallon plant. I acknowledge that Kelly Green has many positive reviews, and those were the reason we hired him in the first place. I truly don't know why our experience was so dramatically different. But based on what we went through, I cannot recommend this company. In my experience, they did not stand by their work, they did not deliver what was agreed upon, and they were unresponsive when asked to address clear mistakes. Proceed with extreme caution.
