I had several giant pepper trees which needed to be removed. They were too close to the house and threatening to damage the roof. They were also hanging over the fence into the neighbor's yard. Lupe cut them down without damage to the fence, roof or out buildings, ground all stumps, hauled it all away and cleaned up in a day. Lupe is a trained arborist so climbs the tree fully outfitted including safety helmet, rappelling gear, and crampons. His wife is his assistant. Recently bought our new house in La Costa and love the shaded courtyard inside our gate, but the tree was getting big, shaggy, and starting to branch out over our roof and that of our neighbors. We wanted to have it trimmed back to keep both homes out of danger of falling branches, and thin it out to keep it healthy, but still keep enough that it would grow back full enough to provide shade by spring and summer. After searching Yelp, we went with this service because they provided the best estimate. They responded promptly to my Yelp message, I sent photos of the tree and house and got an estimate same day. After some consideration, booked later and they scheduled to arrive a few days later. Team arrived promptly and after a brief conversation to confirm the desired work (thin out, prune away from houses, trim top), they set to work. Six or seven workers moved in harmony as they laid out tarps to protect the yard, hoisted each other into the tree to work, cleared away the branches and fallen debris into the towed chipper they brought and swept up on their way out. They were in and out in under 90 minutes, the surfaces were cleaner than when they arrived, and the tree looks great.
