That…read moresaid, accidents happen, like maybe you're fooling around near the side of your house and you gently tap the "inspector's test valve" for your sprinkler system. Suddenly all heck breaks loose and you've now got several walls full of water. After realizing exactly what I had done (the fire alarm helped me understand), I called around all the big name companies that do this sort of water damage repair. The quotes I got were ridiculously HIGH. I decided to go local and gave Moe and his team (read: family) a call. Not only could they fit me into their schedule quickly, but they are also a one stop shop, meaning, when they leave your house, it looks just like it did before you broke your sprinkler pipe. Most of those big name companies require you to get someone else to do the drywall/painting part. All the Mold Safe guys that worked on the job were not only related to each other, they were also great workers and great people. They kept everything clean and showed up when they said they would. They kept me in the loop as to what was being done and explained anything I asked questions about. They dried the walls, cut out and replaced the wet drywall and added the matching orange peel texture when they did the final painting. Color matched, perfect finish. And when Ted was finished fixing the hole in the stucco left by the sprinkler system guy (yeah, it has to be a certified professional who fixes anything to do with your sprinkler system, not just any plumber), he went around my house with the left over spackle and fixed several other stucco dings in my house. Above and beyond. Like I said at the beginning, you really don't want to ever have to call these guys, but if you do find yourself in this sort of a situation, don't risk the mold, just call Moe. Poor experience…read more Company provided clear turnaround time then extended the project without notice. This was due to the company overbooking. When questioned, Moe pointed to a vague fine print in the agreement saying it could take up to 15 days. I mentioned not being able to accommodate an extension due to being pregnant and prepping for a deployment. Stated advance notice would've been appreciated. Moe did not handle things professionally, had a family member text me insults, then threatened to quit knowing it was breach of contract. Moe then said he only wanted to talk to the man of the house, who wasn't remotely involved in hiring or payment. Makes sense there were two other lawsuits with this company now. Rest of his team was great, polite, and hard working. Moe and his communication was the only issue. Edit: Happy to keep adding receipts. I have been professional from start to finish. You not liking me, Moe, doesn't change that. And having a good track record doesn't mean you never mess up. You messed up. No amount of over-explaining now makes up for how poor communication was during the job or how you've acted since. And no, you demanded to talk to a man of the house. His message communicated nothing different than I did and you previously apologized for your behavior. Thanks!

As far back as 1995, we hired former owner and founder Peter Sierck to do a thorough assessment of our home in West Torrace. We had large patches of black mold in closets, behind furniture, condensation on the inside of windows into the late afternoon and damp carpets. Our home was built on a slab and when El Nino 94-95 slammed us with water. We had standing water wicking into the wall cavities, ET&T helped us find out. They drilled a hole in the slab to see if there was water pressure, took air samples and mold cultures from all affected areas, and provided detailed reports and candid advice. One thing I really like about this company is they do not do any remediation. That allows them to deliver an honest report whether test results are good, bad or indifferent. In 2022, I was smelling some strange odors in my current house and called ET&T to to a thorough test. Even though I now live in Menifee, over an hour from Encinitas where ET&T is based, they were able to serve my needs. This time around, Andrew, the current owner who was trained by Peter, and hs associate Brad came out to do the inspection. The test was free of any mold issues, thankfully. Once again, they were very thorough and provided detailed reports. Last update, I noticed last week (March 2023) that my engineered hardwood floors were black and starting to warp in a small area in one of the bedrooms. Even though I didn't have a current job with them, Andrew took my call late on a Friday afternnon, and made time to look at the photos I shared, and also donated his time to recommend what I needed to do, and didn't ask for a fee. If you have any mold you want tested, these guys are the best. Don't put your health at risk with an untrained plumber or worse yet, handyman, both of whom will have a vested interest in signing you up for remediation when there might not be a need.
