Kurt and his trusty assistant; Pat diagnosed the problem, replaced the damaged electrical parts, showed me how to run the new thermostat, B.S.'d with Kurt and they were out the door in less than an hour. Now here is the kicker. Another company told me I needed to replace my ENTIRE AC/FURNACE for $5,000. Kulla charged me UNDER $200 for the inspection, assessment and rwplacement of parts. I mentioned to the owner Kurt Kulla that his reviews are often low. He stated that anybody can write anything about his work and he doesn't have the time, man power nor inclination to patrol reviews of what someone may or may not have said about his work. "They can contact me if they have a problem. I'll listen. But I get most of my business from referrers and I'm VERY busy." And in fact, I got the Kulla referral from my neighbor. He gave us a good and fair quote, but more importantly quickly ordered the new furnace. Within 5 days, 4 guys, including both owners came at 7am. Not to mention the job was not completed and no other company wanted to touch their giant mistake. The real kicker is when we called them about our soggy ceiling sink the disaster pan was overfilling they denied any water damage( I have this phone call recorded) it took three years of fighting with the home reality company CINCH (also goes by sears home warranty) who assigned us to General Heating and AC. Cinch is another huge problem assigning work to companies that are not competent at the job, after fighting with them for many summers they only agreed to pay for half of the very costly reinstall of the unit! Our home owners insurance went up due to this, we had no AC for three summers. General heatings team of Cheryl and Zac are extremely unprofessional. Zac admitted this was only the second high velocity unit he had installed which showed some there was a plethora of things done wrong. This company has caused me endless headaches, hours on the phone, and thousands of dollars down the hole, if you are assigned to them from a home warranty company for the love of God request to be placed with a different company! Finally getting this review out since we can finally say we have working AC due to the wonderful company Binder Heating and AC.
