Super nice office. My doctor's office took forever to call a script in. Thai office called multiple times to gain the script. Office manager is super helpful and sweet. Everyone is sooo nice here. read more

I'm an uninsured cash patient who was referred to Envision for a mammogram & stress test. I asked them for the cash rates since I do not have insurance. I was ok with the pricing, so I scheduled my appointments and paid at the time of service. To my surprise I received a bill a few months later. They had charged me more than originally quoted and collected on the visit. I called the billing department (outsourced overseas of course) and was told I would have to wait 30 business days to have it investigated. In my opinion that's an insane time frame. When I called to talk with someone at the facility the nice lady told me they are not trained regarding billing or prices (however she did listen to me voice my frustration, so I really appreciated that.) Then when I reached out to the supervisor at the facility via email she never bothered to respond. As a patient and a consumer, I feel like I was misled and taken advantage of. If I'm not quoted the corrected pricing, how can I make an informed decision about my care. I think it is incredibly irresponsible that the staff is so inadequately trained. When I checked out AFTER the visit was over that was the time for the staff to charge me for all the services performed. Then we could have discussed the discrepancy right then and there. Receiving this bill 2 months later seems shady and greedy. Since I am an office manager at a specialist office, I am somewhat familiar with how offices run and if my staff where this inadequately trained on pricing I would be embarrassed, and it would be addressed. My doctor referred me here for a sinus CT. I had heard very good things about the facility from an elderly family member, who had good experiences there. But I also had tried on numerous occasions to obtain his medical records for him from Envision so that his doctors could review them. Doing so was a bureaucratic nightmare. In fact, none of his doctors have been able to obtain his records from Envision. Nonetheless, I was willing to form my own opinion about their services since my own doctor had referred me to them. Walking in, I observed that the facility is gorgeous--like a five-star, elegant hotel. The receptionist who greeted me and took my information was extremely friendly and accommodating. She was lovely, had a bright smile, and was gracious--just what one would want from a person who represents the "face" of a company. She telephoned the mobile unit, where my scan was to be performed, and told the person who answered that I was coming over and that I was the last appointment of the day. (I had arrived at the office at 3:42 p.m. and my appointment was at 4:00 p.m.) I was greeted at the mobile unit by an equally friendly and professional person who introduced himself to me with a big smile. He met me at my car and directed me to the door of the mobile unit, where he took some preliminary info and wrote it on a clipboard. He told me that my scan would be performed by a woman whose name he gave me, and we went inside the mobile unit. The female technician didn't acknowledge me. In fact, she didn't even bother to look up from her computer. She didn't look at me or say anything. The assistant walked me past her into the CT area, where he asked me to sit down on the CT bed. He continued to ask me further questions for the intake questionnaire. In the middle of our conversation, the technician rudely interrupted us and yelled into the area, shouting to the assistant, "She has to take all her hairpins out of her hair." I was reduced to a nonentity. I responded that I was aware of that fact, and I continued to answer the assistant's questions. About 45 seconds later, the technician burst into the area, where I was still answering the assistant's questions for the intake questionnaire, and dropped a plastic bowl onto the CT bed next to me. She said, "She can put her hairpins in here." And she walked out. Again, I was demoralized. At that point, the assistant stopped the intake interview and said that I could use the bowl to remove my hairpins. He asked me to sign the questionnaire. I'm still not sure whether the questionnaire was complete, what it contained in its entirety, or what exactly I had signed. Having worked in the legal profession for my entire career of over 40 years, I've never been subjected to a situation like that. The assistant left the CT area with my signature on the form and the technician entered the area. She told me to lay down and didn't tell me when the scan was going to begin or what to expect. I felt rushed the entire time that I was in her presence. After about five minutes, the exam was done. She told me I could leave. At the front desk upon arrival, upon being greeted by the intake assistant at the mobile unit, and upon departure from the mobile unit, I stated that I needed a CD of the results of the exam, which was requested by my doctor for my follow-up appointment. When I was leaving the mobile unit, the assistant told me that if I wanted the CD, I would have to wait 45 minutes for it. Otherwise, it would be mailed to me. I asked that it be mailed to me. He assured me that the instruction was conveyed. A week later, I hadn't received the CD. Upon calling Envision, the receptionist who answers the phone tried to blame the U.S. Postal service for my not having received the CD. After about five minutes of inquiry on my part, she finally acknowledged that the CD "was approved" but that it hadn't been mailed yet. I asked to speak to someone in management and was told that that wasn't possible. She said I could drive there and pick up the CD. I said I wanted it mailed to me as agreed upon. She said she could try and transfer me to "Chelsea" in Records but that there was no guarantee that she would answer or that she would get the message. After much resistance on her part, she finally agreed to transfer me to "Chelsea" in Records. I left a message, and when "Chelsea" called me back, she said that I could drive there and pick up the CD because Envision's office is right on the way to my doctor's office. I truly don't understand why there is such a communication problem at this facility and why it's impossible to get copies of records, even when a patient's doctor has requested them and when they're necessary for follow-up with a patient's physician. The problem seems to be with the gatekeeper receptionist, who serves more as a bouncer than as a customer-focused facilitator, and with the Records person, who argues with the patient rather than complies with physicians' orders. read more

I went for a echo stress test. The female tech doing the tread mill portion was one of the most condescending healthcare workers I've ever seen. She spoke to me as if I wasn't the patient paying a $500 bill, more like she was the client. I should have said something while I was there. I wish I would have gotten her name. She should not be in this industry when she clearly doesn't have compassion whatsoever. Never a smile and very short with me as I asked questions. The front desk employee was polite. The next test I needed was in the trailer, they were both very respectful and kind. But because of the treadmill tech, I will never have another screening done at this place. I'll take my business where they actually care and like what they do. Advice to whoever that tech was, go into a different profession, you clearly hate your job, and definitely should not be working with the public. read more

My general practitioner uses Envision so I went there for a non-routine ultrasound. Never have I dealt with such a profoundly incompetent and uncaring staff. First, since it is the beginning of the year, the front desk receptionist told me on the phone that I would have to bring my $380 payment up front since I have an annual deductible with my insurance company (BCBS.) When I arrived, I informed the receptionist that this was incorrect, that they bill the insurance first and THEN I pay them as part of my annual deductible. The receptionist was snippy when I pointed that out to her. She replied with something along the lines of, "Well, your insurance company doesn't always work that way." It's Blue Cross Blue Shield. Yes they do. I went into the ultrasound room and was asked to pull my pants down--in front of the technician--and lie down. That was extremely awkward. I asked her since there were two parts the procedure--abdominal and vaginal--shouldn't I go in the other room and change into a gown? The technician then became impatient with me and told me to do this part of the procedure first and THEN she would tell me what to do. She then proceeded to dump ultrasound gel on my abdomen and when she was done, she asked me to pull my pants up and go in the other room to change into a gown. So I pulled my pants up...over a huge mess of gel on my stomach. Hello, extra laundry. Then I went and changed into a gown. At least she had the decency to allow me to undress in privacy--this time. The procedure was uncomfortable and I tried to make light of it by telling a few jokes by saying I wish my kids could see me "squishing" my insides around since they are studying anatomy in school. The technician responded by practically shouting, "YOU'RE NOT 'SQUISHING' ANYTHING, THAT'S NOT HOW THIS WORKS." Yes, lady, I get that...it's a joke. Take the joke. Medical professionals who don't have a sense of humor, fine. I understand that not everybody enjoys being around people and wants to joke, laugh, or make someone feel at ease. Sharp and condescending responses, however--especially when patients are undressed--are unacceptable. Now I discover that they didn't even send the report to a 2nd doctor even though I had been assured at the time of my visit that since this 2nd doctor was in the "Providence" system, the report had just been sent. Lewis is off (west side) of Haggerty just south of 13 Mile Rd. Building is very easy to get to with ample parking. Envision is on the second floor, to the far right when you get to the top of the stairs. So it was time for the mammogram. I hadn't been in quite a few years and I'm not getting any younger. Gotta be smart about these things. Plus I'm an old married woman. . what else do I have to do on a Tuesday night? You need to get there 15 minutes before in order to complete the necessary paperwork - just a quick medical history and a few other privacy forms. I was called in promptly by Amanda and she explained the process to me. It took maybe 5 - 10 minutes to get the mammography done. It didn't hurt but I definitely knew something was going on in that area. Amanda was great - very patient with me. As someone who has trouble with right and left. . well, I won't go into that. Let's just say I'm directionally challenged. (Turn to your left. .. your other left .. ) So all you ladies out there who have been procrastinating about scheduling your annual mammogram - or who've never had one because you're too nervous to go. . . GO! It really is simple and it could save your life. read more

I came in for testing on Friday Feb. 11, 2022, the tech was wonderful, and I don't recall her name she was polite and professional. I work in a doctor's office and the girls at the front desk were so unprofessional, loud and acting like my 12-year-old. Everything was a big joke to them. There is a time and place for everything but not at the front desk. You are the first thing a patient see, and you are representing the company you are working for. Technician was great, but as mentioned before, left with the feeling that Envision practices some shady billing practices. I was there for a diagnostic untrasound at the end of July. I am a teacher and have great health insurance. I was surprised when I was given a bill for $166.00 before I had the procedure. I stated that my insurance would cover all of the bill as this was diagnostic and my family deductable had been met. The women at the counter stated that my $2600.00 deductable was for me alone not my family, that my family deductable was 5600.00 I know my health insurance so I asked if I could step out into hall and call insurance. Messa insurance claim representative, stated that I was correct. I asked them to speak to women at desk. She became noticabley cool and crossed out my balance and wrote "as per Paul at Messa"-then stated "I don't do the billing". As I waited for procedure, every person that came up to counter was given a bill and a "payment plan". The room was also full of senior citizens. I left feeling that I should have announced to general assembly to call their insurance reps to verify the bills they were receiving. Will not return. read more

Can I give less than one star? This place is awful. The other review about an uncaring staff is right on. Not only that...they want payment up front even when you have insurance coverage. My husband who didn't know any better gave them his cc card and not only did they charge him for the full amount for his test, but they also claimed it on his insurance. They were paid twice and will not answer phone calls or give back the money. He has BCBS and even they can't get these people to answer their calls. It's UNBELIEVEABLE. read more

My experience was similar to Becky B. and others. Their main priority seemed to be about collecting my money. I arrived early and was handed paperwork to fill out. I wasn't allowed more than 2 minutes to fill out the paperwork when I was asked to finish my paperwork later and see a coworker through one of the doors. The co-worker greeted me and promptly told me that it was early in the year and my test was VERY expensive so they were going to have to charge me for my full annual deductible instead of the normal $50 deductible. I said that I've never had to pay my full annual deductible up front anywhere else. Their response was, "Have you ever been here before?" and "That is how our contracts are written." Additional conversation occurred, like me stating that I've already paid some of my annual deductible so how to you justify collecting 100% of it now. In the end, I took my card back and told them that I would go someplace else to have my scan. The ironic thing is that their voicemail greeting talks about how the patient is their number one concern, but in reality it's clear that collecting your money is their number one concern. In my case, it wasn't about the money but more about their attitude and the principle. They should only collect the normal deductible due for that service and let the billing process work itself out. In my case, I had the money but didn't want to give it to them. I'd rather give my money to someone who does put the patient first. For example, what about the person who doesn't have hundreds of dollars to pay their annual deductible up front on the spot. That person should be able to pay their normal deductible, get their medical service that day, and pay their bill later when it arrives with the correct due amount (after their insurance provider is involved, billed, and etc.). read more

My GP uses Envision regularly for diagnostic testing, and this is the third time I've been to the facility. The facility itself is new, clean and well equipped - Confidence inspiring. The technical staff seem competent, and I found them pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, I can't say much positive about the front office. On my my most recent visit they failed to get my paperwork ready - and additionally failed to warn me of this in time for me to change plans. I rearranged my work schedule to accommodate the visit, but when I showed up was informed that they couldn't proceed due to 'lack of authorization'. I lost an entire morning, which was extremely disappointing. My personal inconvenience aside, I was also disappointed with how the receptionists treated they customers - They were condescending and 'snippy', particularly to some of the elderly people visiting for testing. I noticed this pattern on all three visits, and found it very unpleasant. I don't plan to use Envision again. read more

The attendants were excellent but the equipment left a lot to be desired. I use a walker - when I arrived at the trailer I stepped on the lift with my walker and the lift would not work. One of the girls carried my walker up the stairs while I laboryisly hauled myself up the stairs. The scan went OK but the after-effects of the iodine intravenous were uncomfortable and eliminating the barium was a two day process. The attendant did ask if I was allergic to Iodine but never having had this intravenous before - I had no idea of its effects. This test took place on March 28, 2017 at 9:30 AM . The next day I received a call from the center telling me at I had to make an appointment with one of their doctors when it plainly states on my instruction form that this report is to be forwarded to my own doctor - Richard Zekman- Some-one should have read this information and it took a call, on my part, to see that this is being done.
