People were very nice. Dr Cheryl seemed to be competent and friendly. This was my first appt. When I made the appt they told me they would send my my intake forms to do online prior to check in. Didn't happen. Exams went okay until my dilation. Drops went in at 3:55 and the Doc didn't return for a half hour, after saying she'd be back in 15-20. I made the appt at 3:00 with another meeting at 4:30 figuring never in life would an eye exam take longer than an hour, let alone 90 minutes. Maybe my expectations are a bit too high. Dr Cheryl Ebmeier is by far the best Optometrist I have ever seen. Not only did she perform a very thorough eye exam, she took the time to educate me on the health of my eyes as well as things to watch out for/ monitor as we age. Her office has the latest high tech equipment, some of the tests performed I have never had done or previously even known about (all covered under my insurance). Her staff was a pleasure to work with as well. From the time I entered the door, I was greeted with a smile and complete professionalism. They carry a very large selection of frames from traditional to trendy and unique styles with bold colors. I also appreciate the no pressure sales and up selling. Being new to Florida, I needed to find a new eye doctor and looked around on Yelp for someone with good reviews. Made an appointment at Envision Eyecare for an exam and contact lens prescription renewal which appointment was about a week away. In the interim, received text messages from them to not forget my insurance card when coming to to the appointment and the morning of, another message to compete an online new patient form to "expedite" my time when arriving, which I did. Arrived about 5 minutes early for my 1:15pm; still had to fill out some forms that were not on the website form... Sat down and waited, and waited, and waited. At the 35 minute mark, a woman come out to me and told me that because I had my contacts in, they were going to take another woman ahead of me because she already had her contacts out; ummm ok it literally takes 16 seconds for me to take my contacts out. I told her my appointment was at 1:15 and it was now 1:50pm... It's now 2pm and the woman being taken ahead of me hasn't even been taken back yet. Apparently patient's time is not valued here and take other patients ahead of you; can you imagine being 45 minutes late to a doctor appointment?! They would never accept you, but it's ok for them to waste your time for 45 minutes. And if wearing my contacts was an issue why not say that in one of the multiple texts they send prior to the appointment. I will find someone to who actually values their patients time. Very poorly run and unprofessional. read more

I have been going to Dr. Pam Ebmeier for many years, since she and her sister Dr. Cheryl bought the practice. The office is immaculate, the staff is friendly and courteous, and both doctors are top notch. The eyeglass tech, I believe her name is Jen, is also great...and honest about whether frames really look good on you. I primarily see Dr. Pam for my annual visits and eye scans, but have also been examined by Dr. Cheryl when I needed an immediate visit and Dr. Pam was not in. When it was time for my cataract surgeries, Dr. Pam recommended two places from which to choose. I opted for the doctor in Boca Raton, and I was able to do the follow ups at Envision. Being new to the area, I was looking for a new eye doc and finding a practice run by women was a bonus as well! It was easy to make my appointment. No waiting a long time to get in, they accommodated my crazy schedule and got me in within a few days. Upon arrival, I had barely gotten my name out of my mouth before I was being shown to the back to begin the exam. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Dr. Pam was great. She listened to my history and made a couple of suggestions to tweak and make my eye sight even better. I also liked that she offered up some samples to try out some new contacts to see if I liked them before I bought them. Another great thing? They stock some common contact lenses so if you need something in a hurry, ask as they may have it in stock for you to take with you on the spot. My helpful hint is they are in a strip center which has two front doors. Use the one to the right as the other one is locked (it says to use the other door but what can I say? I stood there an wondered if they were open! Ha!) . And don't forget to pet the friendly mascot dog who is wandering around the place. He's always up for an ear scratch or pet. I think my eyes were tired. They Kept running tests when it wasn't matching the first prescription we got to. We finally sorted it. Second time they nailed it - guess my eyes were r tired. They are informative, friendly and super sweet. Honestly, the old eye doctor I went to was a total mess in hindsight (pun intended). This office is organized, the team is great and I'm glad my prescription isn't fluctuating like it was before. For about 20 years are more, Dr. Cheryl and Dr. Pam have taken care of my eye care and my husband's. Dr. Cheryl is the doctor I have been seeing over the last few years. She is so thorough, smart, kind, compassionate and there isn't anyone else I would trust my vision care to. A month or so ago I was waiting for her and I was feeling very nauseous, she came in looked at me and immediately went to find me something to settle my stomach.
