I went to this doctor because of the positive reviews, I was having trouble with my vision, and he did a new prescription for me, to be able to see better and read. Once I got my glasses, I was still having issues seeing clear, especially the signs on the highway and streets. I went back and he checked again, adjusted the prescription, again, was still experiencing issues with me distance and reading, he finally told me on the third visit to see an eye specialist, instead I went to Americas Best and had my vision checked again, come to find that I have the beginning of Macular Degeneration, how does a doctor miss this, he should have been able to detect this by doing a more thorough exam. read more

I was so disappointed at the service that I received through customer service. I ordered my contacts and specifically asked for it to be home delivered after 3 weeks passed and I didn't receive them I was told that they were sitting at a Pembroke Pines location which was no where near my house. Even though I have my zip code when I first placed the order. Than I was told they were at a different location and that they would be sent to my house 2 weeks later still not at my house. I call that they say it's still string at the same location that told me they would send it to my house. I'm still waiting for them to resolve this issue. I am so glad that I came here! Fresh home from the office this establishment is the best eye experience i've ever had. I was long overdue for a new pair of glasses so I decided to buy a $50.00 groupon for an eye exam and $200.00 towards a frame. I came in right before my scheduled appointment and was seen within minutes. Dr. Ginsberg (sp?) is very friendly and didn't rush through my appointment. She was kind and very competent and was happy to answer any question I asked. While I was looking for a new frame the girls at the front desk were extremely helpful and even helped me pick out a new frame! They gave me their honest opinion on which frames looked best and worked hard to get me a great deal. With a transition frame and my favorite frames it came out to roughly $350.00 - I was happy to come here and give them my business. Hands down a great experience, lovely staff and very very friendly doctor. I will make sure to return and don't hesitate making your appointment! Dr. Sappal was very personable during the exam so as to eliminate the strictly business feel I've encountered during other eye exams. He's good at informing you about your eye health as well. All of the staff was very efficient, professional and friendly. Care and service was thorough with a positive attitude and was straight forward and made easy. Waiting was minimal and the doctor explained clearly to me what was going on with my sight and specified when I would find my glasses most useful such as for driving at night or tedious computer work or reading. Noticing the stigmatism other optometrists didn't notice I picked up my prescription in 2 days which is very quick. Now I am so happy with my glasses and driving at night is clear as day and my eyes don't feel as tired. They offer many additional services for lenses such as scratch resistant and reflection reduction. Very satisfied. Rushed the whole thing and skipped multiple parts of the exam to get me in and out a quick as possible and made multiple mistakes, on top of making smart ass comments to try and make me feel stupid and arguing with me for about 5 minutes... I told him I didn't feel comfortable going forward with him and he gladly walk me to the door with zero hesitation. I asked him what the point of dilating my eye is, he told me "to open your eye.." and I asked him to be a bit more specific and tell me the benefits of why I should do it.... never explained once.. simply replied "there's no point, just to look at the walls of your eye, pretend this room is your eye and I'm saying ouside looking in" first time I have ever had a bad eye exam experience In my 15 YEARS of wearing glasses. Not to mention he did my exam in under 7 minutes and was already showing me the way out before I showed him my old contacts prescription and he had to redo the exam cause he wasn't even confident that the first was was accurate. Then I was even reeled in for a 3rd attempt to make another correction after already being walked out to the waiting room... all the reviews on here must be FAKE because this guy is a DICKHEAD. I remained collect and gave him professionalism and respect the entire time what a shame that's how he treats new clients. If I didn't know any better he was letting me go home with new glasses prescription and allow me to keep continue my old contacts prescription which would've caused headaches and fucked up vision read more

Disappointed to say that their appointment system does not work. I booked an appointment weeks ahead of time, got an email confirmation for 5:30pm and their agent calls me at 5pm asking if I will be coming to the appointment. I explained to her that I have a confirmed appointment for 5:30pm and she made it sound as if I don't know what a confirmation email looks like. She kept on arguing that I did not have a confirmation and that it was merely a request for an appointment, but it clearly says in the email with a confirmation code for a 5:30pm appointment. She said that their office calls people to confirm the time, but no one had called me to tell me that their system has the wrong time and I need to come 30 mins earlier. Had I know, I would have come at 5pm. She did offer to rebook me for a week down the line, but I really did not like the whole experience. The doctor may be great, but I will look elsewhere for eye care. read more

The office staff was awesome and friendly- even before I got there. I was running late and then couldn't find the place on top of it and they were still able to see me. One of the girls even stayed on the phone with me until I was able to find the location. Dr. Sappal was great! He was so nice and also quick.
