Appointments are available at times that are convenient for me, and I never have a long wait to see the doctor. The staff I've interacted with have consistently been helpful and kind, which I truly appreciate. Dr. Holifield is patient and caring, and I will continue to return for my yearly checkups. I wear contact lenses and have been happy with the same brand for many years. While Dr. Holifield may occasionally suggest trying a new brand--and I'm open to giving them a try--there's never any pressure. I'm always supported in sticking with what works best for me. First, Dr. Holifield is pretty incredible. I picked this place because of the Yelp reviews, and I have to say, they are right on target. I came in and the staff took my information and had me sit and wait for my exam. It was a very short wait and I was brought back to the see the doctor. I have been wearing glasses since I was 12 years old, so I've had a lot of eye exams. Never mind how many. This one was probably the most thorough I have ever had. Dr. Holifield really did an incredible job of checking out my vision and my eyes in general. He also recommended some eye drops for me, and his staff managed to get a prescription that was normally over $800 for free. Great job! I picked out my new glasses (you can see them in the photo), and while they are not the exact frames I wanted, they'll do. It was a bit pricey, but I have vision insurance so that covered part of it. When I got home I had a notice in the mail that my employer had changed to a new vision insurance carrier. I immediately called the office to apologize and give them the new information, only to find that they had already found it and had billed the correct insurance. That is truly excellent customer service. They told me it would take up to two weeks for the new glasses, which was fine, but it turns out, they were ready in six days. I picked them up and I'm wearing them right now. And I can see, so I guess the visit was a success. And I have a new eye doctor. read more

I've been going to Dr. Holifield since I first went for an eye exam back in 2003. I go every year and it's the most thorough and professional exam I have ever had and I've been wearing glasses since 1971. My vision has never been better and love the selection of eyewear his office offers. I currently have 3 pairs of glasses from Ray Ban to Colombia and Jaguar. The staff at CPVC is helpful at helping me find what looks best on me. Number one, this is an LGBTQIA+ safe space. The people are friendly, welcoming for both my partner and I and I feel comfortable and safe to be here. Number two, the doctor is literally so calming and nice and sweet. They're a very busy place but he took his time explaining to me everything and doing my eye exam. Excellent. Looking for a new optometrist? This is the place. They're open M-F, no weekend and Wednesday nights till 7pm. This place is clean, friendly, thorough exams and quick and efficient. My son came home from college and casually mentions he can't see the board at school. Yikes! I called Central Park Vision Center and explained that my son needed an appointment ASAP as he was only home for a few days. Thankfully, they were able to see him on short notice. My son did in fact need glasses. I was thrilled with the assistance he was given picking out frames that were of good quality for a fair price. What a refreshing experience I had with Dr. Holifield and his staff. I was a new patient and I've always had a difficult finding a good optometrist. The front office staff is friendly and they helped me check in immediately. Dr. Holifield was a breath of fresh air. I was blown away by his professionalism, thoroughness and attentiveness. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out I might be a good candidate for LASIK - my precious doc insisted I was not. Dr. Holifield explained everything regarding my exam in details and always made time to see if I had any questions or concerns. I brought in a prescription from my eye doctor to Central Park Vision Center. After I answered a lot of questions about what type of glasses I wanted, a lady, whose name I do not know, proceeded to show me eyeglasses. They had a decent selection and I selected one. I needed progressive lenses with that change from light to dark in the sun. She told me the price and I must say I was not prepared for such sticker shock. One pair of glasses was over $500. She brought the price down a little by not getting the super deluxe progressive lens vision measurement. It was too embarrassing to say I could not afford that price, as there was a customer standing over me commenting on each pair of glasses that I tried on. The clerk asked if I wanted to pay all at once and I declined, paying only half. I returned when the glasses were received by them within seven days. I was handed the case, tried the glasses on and there were many fingerprints or smudges on the lenses. An unnamed gentleman cleaned the glasses off gave them back to me, never made an adjustment on them and away he went to process the balance I owed. He turned away from me and began working on something else. Away I went. I will never go back to them again. Their pricing, customer and lack of customer service are sorely lacking. This baffles me, because I read prior reviews, which were excellent. I'm a nice and even tempered person but on that day I vowed that I had to give a fair and honest review so others would not be swayed by previous and maybe solicited reviews. read more

Myself and my sons have been clients of Dr. Holifield since he worked at a local commercial owned store. Once he opened his own practice, we of course followed him and he signed on as a provider with my then insurance carrier. Our sons actually attended the same home childcare together as well by coincidence. Dr. Holifield has always been inviting, personable, informative, helpful and professional. He is very patient and thorough and I credit him with the early diagnosis of my oldest sons eye condition which began as a young teen and assisting us in seeking the special treatment needed for Keraticonus as well as closely monitoring my younger son for any signs of developing same condition which usually appears in the teenage years. As a 15+ year client, there has never been a time we have felt our best eye health interest was not being served or made to feel uncomfortable. Office hours are accommodating and parking is ample. Office is clean, inviting and organized. Choices in eyewear are excellent and received in a timely manner and made sure to fit correctly and comfortably upon pick up. My fiancé and I recently moved to the Plantation area and needed to find a new Optometrist. It was time for our routine eye exam so we chose Central Park Vision Center. The office has plenty of parking right in front, inside was very welcoming and displays organized and clean. The staff greeted us right away and was very willing to locate our vision benefits with our insurance providers. We made an appointment for later that afternoon. When we returned, Angelica was very friendly and made us feel at home. We were seen right away for preliminary exams the. Dr Holifield completed both our eye exams without waiting. He was very professional, friendly and made great recommendations. I was given some trials for daily disposable lenses which he recommended and they felt very comfortable. My fiancé decided to purchase glasses too, he chose a clear frame which were very modern and fit perfect.
