We had to make 4 different visits (all worth the trips) while in Orlando so they could monitor the eye and ensure it did not get worse and was healing properly. They were very thorough and communicated with our player's eye doctor back in KY. Yet when I arrived, they couldn't find my insurance in their system. After unnecessary back-and-forth, they eventually located it -- something that should have been handled before I walked in the door. It only got worse from there. Once they realized I needed a full eye evaluation and assessment of my scleral lenses, they informed me I had been scheduled with the wrong doctor. My options were to either wait another hour or reschedule entirely. Since I had already driven an hour each way, I agreed to wait. Then I was told the doctor only spends 20 minutes per patient -- and that if I actually needed scleral lens fitting or proper evaluation, I would have to come back on another day. At that point it became very clear: their priority was protecting the doctor's schedule, not providing patient-centered care. There was zero ownership of the scheduling mistake, zero attempt to accommodate the situation meaningfully, and no concern for the fact that I had invested two hours of driving time. Healthcare is supposed to be about patients. Instead, I felt like an inconvenience to their calendar. This was a complete waste of my time. If you value efficiency, professionalism, and being treated like a patient rather than a scheduling problem, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The lady was so nice, her name is Miss Cohen she is one of the optometrist here at the eye place. I had my eyes checked and my eyes actually went from an eight to a six; which I guess is an improvement from my current standards. I picked out three pairs of glasses. One for work, one for play, and a new pair of sunglasses. I've never heard of the Costa brand of sunglasses - what I really liked is one of the male eye employees told me that the nose pads get sticky when you sweat so they don't slip off your face which I loved because I work outside currently. I honestly can't wait till I have my next eye exam in a year everyone was so nice and if you're around the area or you live in the area and you're looking for a new optometrist I definitely recommend the eye place! 10/10

We moved to SC in 2020 but have continued to travel to Florida for my regular yearly eye check-ups with Dr Hanzlik. Now it's time for cataract surgery in my other eye and it's a very easy decision. Dr Hanzlik is an excellent doctor and in demand. The only problem is that the office is often crowded & appointments are delayed. He's definitely worth the wait and will give you the time & attention that your eyes need.

To make matters worse, this is an AdventHealth location, but we were also informed that they do not participate in AdventHealth Financial Assistance, which was another surprise that wasn't communicated beforehand. Mistakes happen, but confirming insurance coverage is one of the most basic parts of scheduling a medical appointment. We relied on the information we were given, only to find out it was incorrect after arriving. I hope the office improves its verification process so other patients don't have the same experience.

Having 20/20 vision my whole life, my eyes have been sensitive and feeling a little off lately. Dr. Ho was able to schedule me in the same day, after knowing about my situation. Turns out my eyes are dry so he gave me some eye drops to treat it. He also explained to me how to prevent my problem. Dr. Ho is professional and made my first experience a good one. The drive to this side of town was well worth and the office is very clean and sanitary. Surely a comfortable first visit, as everyone in the office is professional and prompt. Somehow reception lost all my records and I'm not in the system anymore. Whoever is working the desk now won't ever answer calls or return voicemails (I've been trying for 2 weeks now). Not sure how they get new patients nowadays since there's basically no way to schedule any appointment. Unfortunately going to have to go elsewhere, which is a shame since Dr. Evers was always so nice and it was pleasant chatting with him. It's not his fault at all, but whoever has been hired to run the front desk now is not doing their job.

I chose to part ways. - One the office staff presented the full breakdown of the costs based on my insurance benefits. The initial estimate showed that I was responsible for the entire cost of the contact lens exam. I explained that my insurance covers a portion of the exam and was told that "this is just the way the billing shows up on our end". - I showed the office staff my insurance benefits which specified an allowance, $0 deductible, and additional discount on contact lens exam. - At that point, a different person presented a new estimate. The instruction from the insurance company specifically said "Take the 15% discount before applying the allowance." This was printed on the paper the staff was presenting to me. The amount present by staff was incorrect and took the discount after the allowance, which resulted in a higher overall fee. I asked that this be corrected to match the insurance policy. The staff informed me that this is again simply the way the billing was showing up on the insurance portal. I asked to speak with someone else who could help resolve this issue. - Another office staff came to explain to me that they spoke to the billing manager and they acknowledge the policy (and the print out we were both looking at) says that the discount is supposed to be taken before the allowance, but the difference is only about $20 and my choice was to either accept paying the additional fee or part ways since the billing system could not be fixed. - I chose to part ways since, in principle, I should not have to pay for the discrepancy between Delaney Eye Center's and the insurance company's billing systems. - I wrote a review on another platform about this issue, and Dr. Salazar's response was to dismiss my claim saying that I did not come to the clinic (I did) and that my insurance calculation was inaccurate (it was not. The staff themselves admitted it was accurate.). Super disappointed by the process and the leader's response. A simple apology would have been more effective.
