Instead, he was condescending and dismissive, and talked more about his career and his speciality. My wife has severe anxiety triggered by medical appointments due to the substandard medical care here in Arizona. This was exacerbated by how she was cut off by Dr. Weyer each time she had a question or comment. He accused my wife of constantly interrupting, and gave me the impression that he was more concerned on telling my wife what he doesn't treat rather than discussing her dermatology issue. It was to the point of us (particularly my wife) feeling verbally attacked. We left immediately, as it seemed like he was actively instigating and trying to get an outburst from my wife. As we left, even the receptionist came off as rude, yelling after us that we needed to check out as we were exiting the exam area. This experience resulted in my wife having an anxiety attack as soon as we got to the car. My wife was not disruptive in any way. Dr. Weyer would cut her off every time she tried to ask a question or comment about what she discovered when doing her own research on her dermatological condition. Dr. Weyer gave the impression that the information that my wife had was insignificant. He would literally shrug his shoulders and throw up his hands as if there was nothing he could do. My wife felt both humiliated and attacked. We are NEVER returning to this dermatology office, especially given how Dr. Weyer clearly puts his ego over LISTENING to his patients' needs.

They asked us to be there 15 mins early then they were running about a half hour late. She asked me to keep my daughter quite because surgery is going on. I'm sorry but it wasn't my fault my two year old gets antsy because they were running behind. Anyways, fast forward about 8 months. I had a cyst removed and went to all my appointments without kids. Everything went smoothly. The doctor was so amazing! He made me feel very comfortable and did an amazing job. I will be returning because the doctor is awesome. The front end receptionist just doesn't seem like a people person and she hates her job.

Been there, done that with the surgery before, so this scar is by far the most disfiguring one of all. Ten days into taking the prescribed medicine I was having a very real reaction. On the strong urging of friends I returned to the doctor to share my reaction experience. I offered to continue the medicine for the prescribed time. He said I would live and abused me to continue taking the medicine. My complaint?! They charged for that visit, for being smart about inquiring about a very real reaction to a medicine they prescribed and, it was all of five minutes! No, I will not do future business with them, and I certainly can never recommend them to my many, many friends.

When I told him the spironolactone was making my panic attacks unbearable and daily he gas lit me saying "in my 20yrs of prescribing this I've never heard of it making anxiety or panic attacks worse as a side effect." Well I guess Im that one. He prescribed a medication that interacts with another medication I am on,I had to bring it to their attention that this medication can cause QT intervals. Maya his MA is rude and dismissive. I asked for some moisturizer samples as my skin has become really irritated with the tazarotene I was prescribed. She gave me a bunch of samples that expired in 2024 and some for Eczema. When I brought it to ger attention she ignored the expired part and blamed me for why I received Eczema samples as I asked for moisturizer. If you want to be listened to and HEARD I recommend going somewhere else. I also don't appreciate how the MA talks about you right outside the door to the provider before they come in,its not in a nice way, more like an annoyed,talking crap type of way. Which for me puts me on edge and defensive. Update: I scheduled with a new provider but apparently advocating for your care is not welcome at this practice as Brenda canceled my appointment because I speak up for myself.

I noticed HealthySkin one day after avoiding Houghton road construction for months and immediately made an appointment for an annual skin exam. They were able to get me in very quickly, and had appointment times that could fit any busy persons schedule. I used to come here years ago when it was a med practice -- the lobby was nicely remodeled; the front desk staff friendly and efficient. My appointment was on time and the MA and the attending PA (Kasey Hollandsworth) who did my examination were really wonderful, great communication and super easy to connect with. They also do injectables here -- the person that does it is there on Thursdays I believe... so I was there the next day taking care of those pesky 11 lines with some Botox. Tamika was great, had me in and out and was expert in what can be a not pleasant few minutes for some. This is my new go to for all dermatological needs. My only (unsolicited) advice to whoever manages their business -- give the exam rooms/halls here some paint/and a little refresh. Looks like they have remained untouched since the Carondelet docs were in here back in 2011.
