I hear back from them about the remaining balance. It sounds to me that they are not on top of the co-pay or remaining balance due. It shouldn't take months. I would be sure to be very clear when it comes to the payment due so that you do not get screwed over as I did. I hope they have gotten better since my situation.

My provider was helpful in the first two sessions and probably saved me a lot of difficult and unhelpful interactions between me and my spouse of 16 years. The third session was a different experience and a complete disconnect from the first two sessions. Suddenly, I felt I was being interrogated. The past was being dredged up. When did this happen? What did you do 30 years ago when this happened? Who initially diagnosed you 20 years ago? How many years ago was this or that? How many manic episodes and how long ago? I'm still trying to figure out the sudden departure from where we stood the first two sessions. Also, the use of colorful language by this provider is very unprofessional and left me feeling uncomfortable. It's not that I don't use this language myself. I was a sailor for 5 years where such language was the norm. In a therapeutic setting, I'd expect more thought given to the choice of words. After I left my last session, I felt more beat up and confused than helped and understood. I must also advise this provider that every human is different. Different life experiences and ways of reacting to them differ in everybody. Also, just because one person behaves a certain way when given a diagnosis doesn't mean that we all do. Just because we receive a diagnosis doesn't mean we have to act it out on a daily basis. The use of medications should also limit the natural inclinations to do so. Diagnoses are thrown out there, usually, at random. We just have to live our lives the best we can while those in the mental health profession seek to define and label us. Going to InnerConnect and seeing this provider only confirmed my distrust and disdain of those in the mental health profession. Most are jaded, unempathetic and damaging, not helpful. So, thanks provider, I will no longer seek mental health assistance in the form of therapy thanks to your inappropriate and unhelpful services. If I were you, I'd go back to business and finance and bilk people of their money by that means.

I was losing myself and my way, just barely able to try and meet everyone else's needs, completely unaware of my own. I didn't want to fade away, but I knew for my heart and mind to engage I would need a good therapist. I read Carol's profile, and immediately knew she was the one. Her approach took into consideration sensitive people. In life I have been misunderstood by many. I was so often referred to as "sensitive". I tried to push this aspect of my personality, the deep feeling and thinking, down until I could just communicate on the surface. Looking back over the last 10 months I realize that Carol has respectfully guided me to a place where I can honor who I am and find a way to live in harmony with others in my life.
