As you walked in the doors the first thing you notice is the current construction going to the right of the building. "Curious to know what that's all about"?! Big location, but seems a little messy and lots of unorganized clutter. The retail side of this Goodwill is what gets the 4 stars. Not for their "average prices" of $5.99 for "used" clothes (some that shouldn't even be hanging on a rack) But- for the additional deals like every 3rd Saturday of the month offering 50% off everything in the store and a daily coupon for 20% $20 or more- "that makes it all worth while"! Instead of the jewelry just being tossed into a basket like some places, they have a black stand displaying everything hanging up, so you can see all of it at a glance. Besides tons of clothing they carry books, videos games, DVD's, electronic, furniture, appliances, baby items, women & men's shoes plus lots of knick knacks & a whole lot more! First off, I've been shopping at goodwill for over 20 years. I've never had any issues with this organization until today. My husband and I have been shopping with our service animals at this location regularly. We often see other dogs and we are always welcomed by employees. Today, upon walking through the doors we were immediately told "YOU AND YOUR DOGS NEED TO LEAVE." We were extremely surprised and thought it was a joke. The middle age female employee with a salt/pepper/brown ponytail at the register was aggressively screaming and postering up to us upon arrival. She began screaming at my husband "IS YOUR DOG A SERVICE ANIMAL?!" The answer is yes. She said "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHATS YOUR DISABILITY?!" Extremely inappropriate and out of bounds to yell in front of the entire store. Legally: you can ask if the animal is a service animal, and what tasks it's trained to perform. You cannot ask what is WRONG with the human. But this employee did, and when we calmly tried to inform her she cannot ask what makes a person disabled, and calm the situation down she became even more aggressive, hands waving and pointing, and screaming at us to get out. I told her we frequently shop here with our service animals, but She snapped back before I could finish "I DONT CARE ...LEAVE!!!" She also took personal possession of the store saying "this is my store, get out of my store" which we thought was also so ridiculous and entitled. This was just the most over the top, vile, entitled, and rude reaction I've ever experienced in retail in YEARS. I was extremely taken back by how this woman treated us, asked my husband what is WRONG with him, and how loudly she felt the need to scream at us from the first register to the front door. It's what? Maybe 4 ft of distance? It was so over the top and unprofessional. Why not get a manager and have them take it up with us? I spoke to Juan the manager and he confirmed the employee was not a manager and had not received any ADA TRAINING. (We already figured that) Queen creek is amazing, hospitable, pet friendly, friendly in general, but this goodwill has employees that are completely out of line and unprofessional. It's not worth the hassle to shop here. we were so put off by the experience we will never come back. This goodwill doesnt respect customers and definitely not young veterans. Many good experiences shopping here, many good employees but one bad apple can ruin the bunch. I hope this employee is removed from the sales floor indefinitely. She lacks the compassion, courtesy, and professionalism to serve others in a public space. Also GOODWILL: if you want to enforce NO ANIMALS...the decal is sooo very tiny and off to the left hand side of the door. Maybe if you have bigger lettering and centered on the entrance people will be better informed of your policies. Just a thought. Or you can just have your employees verbally harass customers and tell them to leave. You are opening yourself to discrimination lawsuits. All for what? Wow. I haven't been to this goodwill since the summer and I have no idea what has happened to this location! Came in today since I was in the area. Figured I could browse the store and see if I could find any collectibles. The store was completely unrecognizable compared to when I first came to this store months ago. The store absolutely stunk to high heaven. There were even some areas where the store smelled of urine! The product was very overpriced and complete junk. I will most likely not be returning to this location. I was with one of my family members in the store and they were completely harassed by another shopper! This shopper accused my family member of being a gang member! OMG! This family member is 60 years old, retired, and lives a normal life in Southern California near the beach. WOW! Just wow goodwill! I was appalled at the pricing at this particular store! A Nakamichi LX-3 cassette deck (working or not?) for $149! I purchased the flagship LX-5 in Gilbert several years ago for $24. And a Giant mountain bike for $249!! I could buy a better bike on Craigslist for half that. Isn't this company supposed to be providing things at a reasonable price for those that can't afford to buy these items at retail prices. Or maybe not even on Craigslist? Shame on your manager! I have loved Goodwill for many years and always donated to them. In the last two years, the prices have gone from good thrift prices, reasonable, to very spendy!!! I see things with Target tags still on, and they charge more than original prices, all the time. Since they get all their stuff for free, it is mind-boggling to say that this "thrift" store offers good value. Plus, you can't try on things anymore, and even with the receipt you can't return or even exchange anymore. Sad to see read more

I do stop at Goodwill periodically and usually buy books. You can find a rare bargain. I find their used clothing to be rummage sale quality and overpriced. Not a great selection here. Tools are limited, but seem reasonable. read more

This location needs to do a serious evaluation on its employees and management team. I spent $57 dollars yesterday on curtains that unfortunately didn't fit my window. Wanting to make a return I called this location to ask what the return process is and if I can go to a location closer to me. The "manager" explained it didn't matter what location but if I didn't have a receipt I would only get back $1 per item. I explained I was not given a receipt, but I have the credit card I paid with and all tags are still on the items. The manager then said if I don't have the receipt she can't help me. I said well okay thank u, have a nice day. She literally laughed at me and hung up. No, "sorry about that." Or "have a nice day" Straight up laughed.... I called back and got her name. I believe she said either Valerie or Mallory. I understand store policy is store policy and out of their hands but.... I would expect a MANAGER to be more professional. read more

Goodwills everywhere have become more and more expensive even though they get all their products for free. Today I tried to return some items. I didn't have a receipt so the counter lady told me she could only give me a $1 for each item. I told her I will be donating those items to Deseret Industries instead. At least at that place the shorts that I had to return will not cost me $7. What a rip off place. I will never go back to any Goodwills ever again. read more

A great thrift store that has 50 percent off every other Day. I scored on expensive brand name shoes, (barely worn), beautiful purses and leggings. I was disappointed in the Barbie dolls in a plastic sack as one had a broken leg, and the other had her arm chewed up probably by a dog. These shouldn't even be sold. Still, I got brand name leggings for $3.00. The employees here are very nice and always helpful. The carts were out of their cage and pushed out so you could easily get them. The only thing I would recommend would be for an assistant at checkout to wrap up glass items. Some people purchased many lamps, dishes, and glasses and it takes the checker additional time to wrap up. Some aisles have looked rather bare, and hopefully they will get additional merchandise. read more

I have always loved goodwill to shop. I've lived on the east coast where the goodwills can be rather nasty but still I've found food stuff in MA, NJ and PA. Here in AZ in Phoenix and Flagstaff the goodwills are generally cleaner so a bit more pleasant. Lately, though, the deodorant smell in this one in particular is outrageously strong, even through my mask. The bathroom has been unkempt, and the prices seem to be higher, so much so that now I only look at the 1/2 price color stickers. But the thing I dislike the most is that every woman's knitted shirt I've bought lately has developed holes in the bottom middle front after a couple of washes. At first I thought it was something I'm doing, but shirts I bought at other stores or online don't get these holes, just the goodwill ones. So, I'm not even looking at the shirts anymore, just look at the "stuff" once a week but I go to competitors for my clothing now. read more

This store has very helpful employees and a very good selection of books and movies. I was very happy with the help I received by the staff with me being in a wheelchair and often needing assistance to get out of reach items. I also appreciated their helpful, friendly and outgoing cashiers. Even the Security guy in that store was cool. Definitely a great place to shop. read more

Pretty disappointed in this location. 2 stars only because it is clean for goodwill standards. Whoever prices the items is clearly trying to compete with online resellers who spend time sourcing, CLEANING/SANITIZING and listing, but with half of the knowledge. I have now personally come across 3 pairs of counterfeit name brand shoes sold for between $14 and $25 a pair at this store. If you are willing to pay these prices you may as well just stay home and shop on poshmark where you can buy clean clothes in better condition and get them shipped to your house. read more
