Really well-maintained location. Not as spacious as some, but everything is in good shape and usual Equinox quality is evident.

I do not recommend this club at all. Many of the staff are unfriendly and make you feel uninvited if you are not a certain group of people. This is a small club with limited classes, unfriendly staff with high a price tag. The salesperson pretends to be nice at first but is heartless once joined. ONLY good thing is that there are not many people, and you don't have to wait for equipment. read more

So gyms just started open back up. They have good hygiene and social distancing setup. Everything is clean and tidy. Limited ppl are allowed at one time. They also have a station by the door to check everyone's temperature before entry. Gym equipment are spaced out. read more

Equinox Roslyn has such sweet staff, from the front desk to the Personal Trainers, and then the Spa! You dont have to be a member to enjoy the spa which is nice and they recently added new Estheticians to their staff so getting a facial here is much easier and they are so good! I believe they have a new personal training manager as well and I definitely recommend joining now more than ever! If you dont join, at least get yourself a spa treatment because they use skinceuticals and Lather products which are amazingggg. And when you use the spa you are welcome to enjoy the club for the day, that means Steam room, showers, the gym and all its amenities. Score! read more

As someone who is very worried about spreading COVID, 90 year old grandmother, aging parents etc, I was worried about returning to the gym. But coming back to Equinox Roslyn eased all my fears. The staff, especially some guy named John, is courteous, friendly and professional. The place is as clean as can be and I feel very safe while working out. Been going to this gym now for a few years and I've always been very happy with the staff and the location.. One thing I've noticed is that they're constantly scrubbing and cleaning everything.. The amount of money spent on disinfecting stuff is absolutely amazing and for the expensive price tag it is definitely worth it.. Will definitely be joining back up after Covid slows down and I have more time to work out.. management management has always been accommodating and friendly to say the least.. So we gave it a second chance. The manager Sean does a great job of remedying the once poor customer service. He contends with the LI crowd so I empathized with him in our sit down for me to vent my disgruntlement of poor attitude... He is accessible for that kind of feedback and a top manager for sure. So that trickles down and I feel the staff is more on top of things. Some stuff: The juice bar is awesome, the facilities, well Equinox does it good, and the trainers are of all styles so you can't really complain about any one, though there are not many to choose from. I go for yoga and Pilates and they are good enough. I just wish they had a no shoes in the studio policy. And I wish the classes were 1.5 hours and yes heated a bit... But that's just me. The variety of classes is not as creative as Great Neck or NYC offers but let's hope it gets pumped up. Will keep up the reviews as I go along in my membership! read more

I went to this place to request the membership and wish to know the environment. When I came into the entrance there are no one in reception. One employee came out from the office and left my personal information. She explained that all the sales have gone. So, she will pass down my contact information to the employee who will work tomorrow. Therefore, I asked her to check whether the Equinox in great neck was able to check now? Then, she replied me these are two different type of gym. Seriously, how would I know the difference since you guys put the same pictures of environment on Yelp. Even, when ppl search on the google, there are only two picture of Equinox Great Neck and few of Picture of Roslyn. Can anyone tell and feel the difference from those almost similar the repeat or picture? Literary, I only know there will be one more swimming pool in Great neck and I suppose the rest are the same. This company group owns different brands of gym to acquire different clientele gym membership. This company is pouring thousands of millions money and smashed all the trendy words to create this High-end one in one lifestyle gym. In order to keep align the brand image and tone, every yelp post put the same Video in the banner and the same brand on yelp picture. And Now you are telling me they are different! "L"ady did you know what you have done ? You basically just destroy what ur marketing teams effort. Following on, the "L" day called great neck and Westbury ... to assist me asked them whether the sale officers still there reluctantly? When she answer the phone she raised her volume of voice to repeat the answer from the other side of phone. After experience all of these, I got the lesson. All that I want is go to a well-equipped place after daily work and work-out. I just want to make myself healthier and more happy. But hey Yelpers through the dialogue above with this "L"ady, you get NOTHING( not resourceful) , you feel bad , and you wast ur time. Avoid this club. Gym is three floors, but quite small. Mat area is only 10x10. Only good thing is that there is no one there except the employees. Classes always have space. Lots of equipment needs repair. Half the people working out are employees, who never wipe down anything when working out personally. Yesterday, the sauna was not working as usual (approx 1/3 of the time) and there was no hot water in the showers. Some people leave there dirty clothes on the floor and benches while showering. Manager was working out on a treadmill. + you often have to wait for a specific machine when of the many employees are working out. Get you act together Equinox. There are a number of reasons that no one is at this club. Aggressive sales is not the solution. read more

This is my first review ever of anything on Yelp because I just don't do it, but in this case, being this disappointed in this gym, i feel it is my duty as a member that has been coming here since opening day and that owns a business just down the block for the past thirty years... i feel it is my duty to let management know how so many of its members feel (being a business owner in town this Equinox and my business share the same exact clientele and we discussed these types of things ). While the gym and locker rooms are always absolutely spotless clean which I've always loved since day one, it's just ridiculous that we have to pay a full $206 monthly membership when we aren't getting full membership services. No kids club, so i can't come work out on the days that i have my daughter.... No spa, which is just absurd in a neighborhood as wealthy as this... and no Juice Bar to grab a shake or drink or some fruit before or after a workout. One other ridiculous thing that i have mentioned to every one of the long list of managers that are in and out of here is that you have to go down two levels of stairs to work out your abs during your workout... Why on earth wouldn't the ab machines be on the main floor since so many people do abs with every workout??? It Just makes absolutely no logistical gym sense. Maybe I'm used to the NYC clubs at this point, but 2/3 LI locations seem a bit cramped for space. The standard machines are there (I think), but are super close together, facing each other and on various floors, so there's really no distinct flow. The actual 'workout' area (not a cafe, class room, or cardio area) is super tiny and you often find yourself close to or awkwardly working out and eyeing other peeps. The good thing is that there aren't too many people working out here during the day, so you can still get your reps in even with these issues. Would I get a membership to this gym alone? No. Does it serve its purpose with a all access pass? Sure. Bonus: The locker room here is great. LOTS of room, bench area and showers (but again, I'm judging this on the two times I've been where there were maybe 10 other people in the gym at the time) Double Rainbow Bonus: there are total Bro's here, which is always a goof read more

They've done a great job post-COVID in cleaning all the equipment and the locker rooms. They're also regulating the amount of people in the building and in each class so I feel like I have plenty of room around me. As someone who works in the wellness/service industry, I am constantly looking for high quality and consistent treatments and service. Equinox spa is where it's at!!! I received the best massage I've ever experienced by the spa's dual therapist Gloria, whom provides esthetic services as well as massage therapy. I've received many massages in the past but Gloria by far has the most relaxing and healing touch I've ever encountered. My treatment totally exceeded my expectations, not to mention that you are welcome to utilize the gyms other immensities without being a member, which includes the amazing steam room and gorgeous showers that are fully stocked with khiels products!! What a wonderful day ! Visiting from CA, I was welcomed into this Equinox location. Had a great workout (leg day!!) ‍ followed by a long shower & rejuvenating steam. The cherry on top was the spa! A sweet Swedish massage delivered by Christine! It was pure bliss, her pressure is perfection and she truly cares about her clients well being. Just joined this gym and am absolutely loving it. Yes, it's not as big as other Equinox locations but given the space they have, they did a lot. I hope they can add other offerings like Pilates etc. I think the equipment is great. I went twice this week Didn't have to wait at all for the equipment. The people were fine. Started with a trainer and its been good so far. Definitely recommend doing the all access if you can not just the membership here. I live in NYC a lot too and definitely think the locations there are bigger in terms of space and equipment. They definitely push personal training here like as soon as you join. That may irk some to be honest. I knew upfront I wanted to see one pretty frequently so I was fine with it. Manager is a really great guy. Spoke with him at length and the personal training manager. High end club. Hi ends equipment if you go very early in the morning like I do you won't have a problem it can get very crowded over the weekend. D locker rooms are great and I enjoy taking steam. This gym really bad! Their manger keep lie to me! They told me I can cancel my membership whenever I wan to but then locked me in a 1 year contract and charged me total 1700 dollars for not even showing up to the gym. I told them I can't go to gym so they told me they would freeze my account but they didn't tell me they would charge me extra for a freeze. The Equinix roslyn location is awful. Don't waste your time or money on this place The manager has a very bad attitude and does not listen to any feed back Recently he has removed most of the gym equipments on the main floor. he has only heavy weights on the floor either to push to sell more personal training sessions or make it desirable for men only. There has been numerous complains from a lot of member but he only brought back couple of the workout equipments. I am suprised at Equinox headquartes ignoring what is happening. Racist Incident: I am a black woman who had a white husband. We had been members of this equinox location for as long as it has been opened. After my husband passed my children and I continued to be members. I was the victim of a racially motivated attack that was both verbal and turned physical by two white males one was a member and one who was never identified to be a member or an employee. One of the white male members physically pushed me off a machine. I had to call the police myself after being physically and verbally assaulted by both. Both men threatened me saying "I know your kind, come to my neighborhood and we'll take care of you..." I was floored that security would let someone into the gym unidentified as I know its policy for everyone to have to show I.D. Corporate never responded to my letters and management tried to persuade me to leave and join a different club to allow the two white males to stay there and instead suggest I be the one to not return. This incident has caused me trauma, PTSD and stress because I pass this location everyday, was a member for years, truly enjoyed it and never received a resolution. My hope in sharing this is that one day I will. Sadly this was not the only incident of racial discrimination I encountered while at Equinox. read more

One of the gyms that I didn't waste my membership at. I think with some of the other gyms that I have been a member of I paid (what I call) my monthly fat tax, because I didn't go after a while. Positives - Clean, well maintained equipment, top notch trainers, good mix of classes, friendly staff. Negative - Somewhat expensive. That's the only reason I would give it 4 stars and not five. If you're going to pay what Equinox asks for, you'll be there every single chance you get like me! After countless encounters with fitness clubs I was never happy with, I finally found a gym that fits with me. You get the typical princess wanna-be's who you always wonder why they're there in the first place, is it to work out or look pretty going 1 mph on any machine. I had this one girl next to me who kept flipping her just straight ironed hair going slower than my grandma ever walked. I don't want to smell your shampooed hair while I work out. I want to smell the sweat!!! but not the bad B.O. sweat. Get my drift? I have yet to try the spa and one day of personal trainer, but everything is going great so far. Most importantly, everyone is very friendly and always greet you when you walk in and walk out. I would definately give it 5 stars, but I'm going to be a little princess myself and minus 1 star BECAUSE I have to travel SO darn FAR just to work out for a short period of time in between my busy schedule. But I will do an arm and a leg for Equinox because all the other gyms around my neighborhood are ghetto, disgusting, and tiny. OH!! and I forgot that I got lost for about 2 hours last week trying to find the place. The internet gave me 3 different locations on the map, then I gave in and called and the girl told me to make a right at the macy's on northern. So I recently started working for Equinox (again) and immediately the vibe inspired me to get my butt back into shape. I worked at another club in the past year but only worked out a handful of times. I think the reason is simply because of the exchange of energy and enthusiasm for health and fitness here at Equinox. It's contagious. It's inspiring. That being said, I'm writing today because of the amazing, healing and deep tissue massage I experienced last night with therapist Tamy Stout. I have so many health issues and injuries that I didn't want to overwhelm her; and without going into detail I will say that she addressed each and everyone in such a specific and thoughtful way. I will be seeing her at least once a month as this is not a luxury but freedom from the chronic back pain, neck pain, hip and sciatic pain that deters me from sleep, comfort walking and sitting. For those who think massage is a luxury, I challenge that and say it is a necessity to healing deep muscle, nerve and circulation issues. Run, don't walk to visit Tamy Stout at Equinox Roslyn. This Equinox is clean, bright and very well kept. There are people to greet you at the door with smiles and always pleasant. The classes are great, but a few more morning classes would make it even better. My favorite spin class is with a fantastic teacher , Kristen James. Her cycleology class is amazing. John a pilates instructor, is also great. Tim, the manager is fantastic. He is always helpful and reaches out to members for suggestions and is very responsive. They are the most expensive gym on Long Island- but insist on making you sweat to death in the classes- keeping the thermostat under lock and key. If you don't want to do cardio in 80 degrees- you have to run upstairs and ask someone to come down and adjust it- that really exudes luxury fitness at it's finest doesn't it?. Stop being cheap and give your instructors keys to the thermostat- or buy a digital one that has a pass code so no members can't adjust it. I have complained to the Manager- Sean Austin and others including the instructors have complained as well. Spending almost 200$ for a membership and having to special request air conditioning is ridiculous. A senior citizen passed out this summer bc of the heat. The money you think your saving by not turning the ac on is far less than getting sued for negligence not to mentioned the potential customers you will lose when they read bad reviews. You should have gotten it together when you received hundreds of complaints- could of bough a digital thermostat for 100 dollars- but your penny wise and dollar foolish. I know Equinox owns Blink Fitness and I think your manager has confused what members expect for 10 dollars a month versus 170$. read more

Don't waste your time or money on this place. I travel a great deal and visit a lot of Equinox locations throughout the country. In fact, I've been a member since the Errico days. In general, the club has a great thing going with its clean and modern facilities. However, the Rosylyn location is particularly awful. The staff at this facility all have chips on their shoulders. Don't know if this is a Long Island thing or not, but the cleaning staff at several of the L.I. Equinox gyms are EXTREMELY hostile. If it's not some dirt bag maintenance guy flirting with you, it's some locker room attendant lady staring at you or sweeping her dirty broom across your bare toes after you've showered. One old haggish-looking cleaning lady at the Roslyn facility makes it a point to harass me each time I visit this club. When I asked to speak with the GM about this, I was denied. The assistant manager pretty much giggled about the incident. The Roslyn Equinox gym is trash. read more
