I reserved skis ahead of time and had put my usual size (in addition to my height and weight which should've made that obvious) in the comments. I came and picked up my rentals and didn't realize until I was on my way up the lift that the skis were WAY too big. Made skiing way tougher all day. I asked about the mistake after and the guy just gave an excuse about being really busy. He didn't seem to care much. Also pretty expensive - prices are the same as the resort - and service was slow. read more

Came late in the day on the drive up. In and out, inside of 30 mins. 3 Kids skis and boots. Super friendly guys at the rental booth and simple and easy registration. I brought my snowboard in for a tune up and sharpening and they did not place the bindings back where they originally where. The board is clearly marked for binding placement. This error caused a knee injury.... Thanks! read more

Had a great experience at this shop that I wanted to share. A group of us headed to Mount Snow for a weekend ski trip. While on the mountain, the ratchet strap on my board bindings snapped off and I thought my weekend was over. I took the board into the repair shop at the mountain and the guy there couldn't have cared less. He couldn't be bothered to get off his stool and told me they "probably didn't have the part" but I'd be welcome to buy a new pair instead - no thanks. I decided to get a second opinion and brought the board into Equipe that afternoon. The staff there greeted me right away and was super helpful. THe tech went in the back and came out with a few different straps until he found one that wasn't an exact match but worked with my set up. It wasn't perfect, but it got me through the weekend and I couldn't be happier. read more

I have been shopping for a board, currently riding on a 163 '13 ns cobra, I've been keeping an eye for the Proto. On my way back to the city checked this shop without really the idea of buying a board, just to get an idea/opinion. I have been debating whether i should get the wide or regular. He said depending on my boot size it may or may not matter, I know all of that but still, there's always the possibility of changing my boots (it's 2 years old now) anyhow, so I decided to get the regular width. Jon helped me, and he said if I decide to return it, he'll be happy to assist me either for a refund or exchange it with a wide version. I was like cool. After riding it for exactly 1 day and a half. I have decided to get the wide version. I returned the board and he special ordered the wide version for me. I received in like a week. I never felt a toe dragging in park but when I do so heavy-duty carving I felt it a bit yes you can never get rid of it completely especially in pow but minimizing it what I am after . I am also going to spend lot of time in Colorado this winter, thought that wide would be ideal overall. My shopping experience was great there, definitely will shop there again. read more

I have gone into this store numerous times. 2 years ago the first time I rented a snowboard and boots for my kids and they kept being problems. Every time I went back they kept saying it's not our fault it's how your kids snowboard. I swore never to go back. I just went back to buy a pair of snowboard boots and initially they showed them to me and that was it. I walked out and said thank you. I immediately changed my mind and went back inside with a snowboard to make sure that they fit and wanted them. I stood there for 10 minutes without even getting acknowledged. And another customer came in that they knew with their kid and he started talking to them and I still stood there like a statue not being acknowledged. It doesn't take much say I'll be right with you and keep a customer engaged. read more

There is no better ski/sports shop in the Mt Snow area. I've been a customer for over 20 years and have always had great experiences at Equipe. We rented skis, snowboards and helmets here. They had a great selection AND you get to avoid the crowds renting in the mountain. I had trouble with my boots, and on of the staff, Nate, spent a long time talking to me about it. He suggested different socks and insoles - which helped a lot. He stretched out the boots overnight and heat molded them to my feet. Just really helpful overall. The location, just at the entrance to Mount Snow, is convenient. They have a very good selection of clothing, too. Great spot! read more

I needed my new snowboard boots custom fit. Josh & Nate were exceptional in there knowledge of relieving my pressure points. I left with the best fitting boots I've ever owned. Although they are located on the access rd very close to Mt Snow there prices were more than reasonable. Anyone needing a great selection of rentals or last minute gear. Shout out to Nate and Melissa for the best service!!! I was in pain skiing in new boots with my shins killing me by the end of the day. I went to the shop and asked if there was anything they could do for me. Melissa heated up my boots and then I stood in them to mold to my feet. Nate then took a look and then slipped heel cushions in and with those fixes, I immediately felt 100% better! The fee was nominal but the service was excellent. Thanks for saving my weekend skiing. I highly recommend this shop right off the base of Mount Snow! read more

My wife and I bought our boots and skis here. Dennis Johnson who works there part-time has a reputation as the best boot-fitter in the valley. After he fitted my boots I wanted to buy skis, but he said: I am not selling you skis until you try three tester models. In other words, instead of grabbing the money he wanted me to take the time to get the best. read more

Can you imagine buying a whole ski outfit; jacket, pants, helmet, gloves, goggles and going back in two days to have the goggles replaced because the lenses were defective and was told "we can send them to the manufacturer for service"??? This place was awesome in many ways. The price for a ski rental package was about half as much as it is on Mt. Snow, it's right on the way to the lifts if you're driving, and the guy working was polite, funny, and helped me with everything from fixing my boot liner to adjusting my helmet to suggestions on how to carry everything (and without ever being condescending or impatient). I had a discount coupon that was rung up incorrectly, and when I pointed it out, he was efficient, courteous, and fixed it without a fuss or being defensive. Thumbs up all around. read more

First class bike rental. Good prices. Pleasant, knowledgable service. Rented XC mountain bikes for entire family for 24 hrs. After our first ride it was clear that one bike was a poor fit for my daughter, but the folks at Equipe made a no hassle swap in 5 minutes and we were soon out riding again.
