Despite that, the communication I received from leadership felt dismissive, unprofessional, and at times intimidating. Terms like "red flags" and "reporting" were used toward me even though I was only trying to understand my options after being misled by another lender. When I asked to withdraw my application, I was incorrectly told I couldn't, which added unnecessary stress. I was also told that my loan might not be worth the business impact, and that it wouldn't be worked even if everything was legitimate. This was especially disappointing because I had a long-standing personal connection with someone in leadership. If this is how I was treated after 15+ years of knowing someone there, I'm concerned how a veteran with no connection or support might be treated. In all my years as a veteran, I have never felt so disrespected while simply asking questions and trying to do things the right way. I truly hope this company reflects on the experience I had and takes steps to ensure clearer, more respectful communication with veterans and other borrowers in the future.
