I have a 13 year old son who now loves shoes. I bought him a pair of Jordan 4's 2 months prior to his birthday. I didn't think his foot would grow. Once he got them and opened the box they were snug. We looked for stores where we could buy, sell, and trade. He gave a few options but they all had terrible reviews. I was not willing to go to a place where people didn't like the service. My son suggested Equvalence and we made the drive. During our visit we were helped by Shawn who gave us great customer service. They had the shoes my son wanted. Went to LA for spring break to do some sneaker shopping and this local place caught my eye. Came in just to look around and greeted by the friendly staff. Had very pleasant conversations with them about shoes and the retailers that sell them in LA. Kept looking around and I came across some 2013 Jordan 3 White Cements "88 Dunk Contest" used for $200. Of course for the prices on Stock X that's a steal so I had to cop. Forget Flight Club, they don't have deals like this. Equvalence is easily one of the best sneaker stores in LA. They cancelled an order without any advice or reason why. The refund amount was less than the original paid due to currency exchanges. Upon calling, they advised that it was because my billing and shipping addresses were differenty (which is extremely common nowadays). I explained the reasons why and offered to email any documentatyion which would help, but their response was "uh, no, I dunno .... maybe try again?". I asked why their website provided an option for a different billing address; again no response. Since the call dropped, I have tried for almost a week to contact the store via phone, email or socials and have not received any response nor have they picked up the phone. Went to get a legit check at the store for a supreme shirt that i was buying off someone and the OWNER of the store inspected the supreme shirt for a minute or two and then tells me its real, even searches it up on the computer to double check. Turns out the shirt is FAKE! I called them and then they have the audacity to say they dont deal with supreme, THEN WHY DID YOU DO A LEGIT CHECK ON IT??? YOU COULD HAVE JUST TOLD ME THAT YOU DONT DO LEGIT CHECKS ON SUPREME! DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH LEGIT CHECKS BECAUSE YOU WILL GET SCAMMED! Such a shame because the shirt ended up being a terrible fake, which should have been easy for them to legit check. Ever since I've been bringing my service here. Didn't even have to wait that long. These guys are awesome, they're helpful and they know what they're talking about. Honestly what makes this place are the owners. They were so kind when I came in. I don't know much about sneakers, but lately I've been trying to snag up some more, adding to my shoe collection. I used to be what they call a sneakerhead back in the day. I was guilty of buying shoes just to have them and never wearing. Long story short, I ended up with all of these shoes that have never been worn and not enough space since I keep buying shoes. I found Equvalence on yelp and drove over since it's not too far from me. Once I got there I had the pleasure of meeting Michelangelo and Jacob. I've never sold or consigned a shoe but they patiently explained how it all works and reassured me that my shoes would be in great hands. They're super tech savvy and you're notified of everything via email (when your shoe sells, how many shoes you have on consignment, how much you'll make from each shoe) making it really easy to keep track of everything. You just pay them 15% commission on new shoes and 20% on used. Super easy process and I was in and out really quickly. I'm bringing them all of my shoes that are taking up space in my house! They also have a lot of great shoes to check out and buy if you need any. This place is a little gem! read more
