Our backyard was all dirt when we purchased our home. We quickly realized we needed to do something for our kids to play. We had many different vendors come out and quote us on our project. We ended up picking Ruben because he gave us a lot of confidence when speaking to him. We could tell he knew what he was talking about. RB Paving's work is nothing short of great. I looked at 4 contractors, but I liked RB prices and backyard designs. I had a somewhat large backyard, upper planter, lower planter, and ground level that was nothing but dirt. They demoed, hulled away dirt, laid stamped concrete with curbing, laid turf, water drip system, and rockscape with drought resistant plants. The project took about 3 weeks. I'm very happy with the work we had done by RB Paving. We had a big problem with drainage and our house was at risk of flooding. Ruben listened to our concerns, our requests, and then made recommendations to make the final result even better than imagined. It rained for 2 weeks straight and we had zero flooding/standing water. I am a landscape designer that recently moved to the High Desert from Orange County. I don't do concrete work, so I scheduled RB Paving to have a new 1400 sq. ft. driveway and 50'-long & 24"-high retaining wall installed. Work was to start on Monday. Received a call at 1:55pm the Friday before telling me that I was going to be bumped because they were behind a week on their current job. Apparently, it took them till the close of business on Friday to discover they're behind a week. The week they wanted to reschedule for, the kids were on Spring Break and would make leaving the house even more chaotic, if not practically impossible. The week after that we were having ductwork done. This blatant lack of consideration would put the work back 3-weeks. It certainly showed me he didn't want the $10,500 job. And he certainly doesn't want any of the concrete work my business would send his way from future designs. I am a firm believer in paying for workmanship. The original bid was about $2000 higher than what I pay for average work in Orange County, CA. I talked him down a little, assuming, from the pictures I've seen here, that I was paying for quality workmanship. I cannot comment on the quality of work. I was surprised that he didn't ask what type of vehicles I was going to have parked on the driveway (necessity of rebar?), as RV parking would be a major resale bonus in this area. I canceled the job because of the lack of notice and was not charged the $100 cancellation fee. It is because of my 25-years experience that I can say that lack of consideration always shows in one's work, in one form or another. read more

We called RB landscaping for an estimate for sprinkler repair and a medium to large job of installing irrigation, turf and rockscape. We had some other companies no show to the estimate appointment, especially for the minor repair job. Ruben showed up on time and was professional and provided a reasonable quote, even for the smaller job. We hired them to install irrigation, turf and gravel along with a concrete curb. One of the worst companies out there. Made an appointment over 5 days ago and they were over 3 hours late for that appointment. No one called me to say they will be late or anything. When I finally called them they said they were having trouble getting the equipment. Even after that I tried calling them 3 times with them ignoring my phone calls. My wife even called them twice with them ignoring her calls as well. When they finally showed up over 3 and a half hours later the guy had no idea what time they were supposed to be here and acted like nothing was wrong. I told them to just leave and that I don't work with crappy companies. Will never recommend them to anyone. read more

We wanted pavers to replace the grass on both sides of our driveway between the sidewalk and curb. For our backyard we needed the hillside cleaned up and a landscape solution. We decided that we wanted to go "GREEN" in our front yard landscape. From the first call to the office requesting an estimate from RBP to the final sweep and clean up RBP was nothing less than exceptional. When the owner Ruben arrived for estimate I gave him our desired job info regarding installation of artificial turf and he gave me his professional opinion on what would look attractive. When we were searching for a landscaper in the Victorville area we were really nervous. We heard of some real nightmares that customers were ripped off.
