First of all, let me just say that Tina Wheeler is an AMAZING realtor who will advocate for you 110%! Tina was communicative, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and made my husband and I feel comfortable throughout the entire process of buying our first house. Honestly, talking to her felt like talking to family - she was honest with us, didn't make us feel pressured at all, and she patiently answered all the questions we had as first-time homebuyers. Though she was easy to talk to, she was definitely a strong negotiator when it was time to work through negotiations with the seller - we could tell right away that Tina is highly experienced and that she loves what she does. Tina also DOES HER HOMEWORK! When my husband and I saw a listing we really liked (on a Wednesday), she initially arranged for us to check out the house over the weekend. However, she looked into it right away and found out that the seller had multiple offers and would only accept offers until that Friday (only 2 days later!). Tina called us Thursday and asked how serious we were about our interest in the house, passed on the information about the offer deadline, and left it up to us to make a decision. We decided to go for it, so she drafted our offer THAT NIGHT, had us review it, met up with me the next morning (on Friday - the due date for the offer!) to check out the house, then sent our offer to the seller. Tina also called the seller's real estate agent to make sure they would still be able to review our offer since it was so last minute. When our offer was accepted (woohoo!), Tina called us right away to let us know. She guided us throughout the escrow process, kept detailed notes, and used her knowledge and expertise to help us develop realistic requests during negotiations. Needless to say, it all worked out - my husband and I were able to get the house of our dreams! We're still floating on Cloud 9 about our first home together, and we honestly couldn't have done it without Tina's professionalism, guidance, communication, and thorough, diligent work! Mary Beth End was the property manager of the home we were renting (we were the tenants). I had a great experience from move in to move out and everything in between. Mary Beth is upfront, honest, and keeps her word. The move in process was smooth. She went line by line through the lease with me and explained everything I was agreeing too. She was straight forward and up front with regards to who is responsibility for what. Over the two years we lived there, Mary Beth was quick to respond to any issues we had. She even went above and beyond when I experienced a pest issue (spiders!). Pests are the responsibility of the tenant but Mary Beth reached out to one of her contacts and called in a favor for us! As renters know, move out is when true colors shine. This is the point in time when the landlord will no longer receive a monthly payment from you but has your security deposit (they own you at this point). I received my security deposit back in a reasonable amount of time and there were no surprises!! I was not nickel and dimed for a single thing. I was only charged for the things Mary Beth and I discussed during a walk through and conversations we had leading up to my move out. She up held her end of the bargain and I really appreciate that! Further, Mary Beth is reasonable and a pleasure to work with. She was accommodating and sensitive to my needs as a military spouse. I would absolutely work with her again and highly recommend her! read more

Okay so the experience was not entirely bad. The escrow officer was Michelle Pretel. She is personable enough but she does not know much about customer service. She would rarly answer her phone and would respond to voice mails with emails in a day or two. Michelle was in no patiular hurry to complete things that would help escrow to close in a timely manor. Escrow closed a few days late and to top it off it was on a Friday so the sellers could not get there check until Monday. This was important for the seller to have their check on Monday so I as their agent went to escrow at 5 PM on Monday to pick up the checks and the checks were still not ready. They were not ready until Tuesday. This is a one person shop and the escrow officer is not that great. I would not use them again. read more

Steve Bryie was amazing! We are first time homebuyers and Steve was patient, not pushy in any way, and helped us find exactly what we wanted. He took me to look for homes every time I asked, was very available via email and text. He is also super friendly-both myself and my husband can't say enough good things about him! My husband and were relocated to San Diego from the east coast due to the military and Mary Beth End was recommended to us by friends who lived here previously. She was absolutely wonderful!!! Helped us through every step of buying a new home that fit all of our needs. She had also been available to answer any and all questions since we first started shopping for a new house til now (a month after closing). I had to fly out one weekend in May and we basically had 3 days to find a new home. Mary Beth blocked out her schedule those entire 3 days to show me over 30 homes and we did not stop until we found one! She was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and also hooked us up with an excellent loan officer to assist with our mortgage. I would recommend her to anyone moving in the San Diego area, especially fellow military! read more

FULL DISCLOSURE: I have no complaints about this office as a whole, just one particular agent. I can't even attest to the skills of this person as a real estate agent-- but she was a TERRIBLE property manager. Mary Beth End was our property manager for about 13 months. I'll give her a tiny bit of credit and say that the owner of the property was very cheap according to Mary Beth and some of the maintenance guys who had to come out here and there so some delays weren't her fault. When we moved in, there were a few problems but nothing was anyone's fault... no big deal. As the months went on, we found it hard to hold a conversation with her via email. She responded quickly to the first one usually, but there was always some sort of disconnect, either she didn't understand what we were asking for, or she'd rush a reply and skip a few key words making her response useless. Again, in the scheme of things, this wasn't a big deal. We were able to clear things up and move on. The real issues came at the end of our lease. We were planning to stay put as long as the rent didn't go up. We heard nothing from her during the last month of our lease, so we went ahead and contacted her about two weeks before the lease expired. We asked how things would work if we decided to stay (i.e. do we go month to month, or are we going to do another lease etc). Her response was that she'd need to do an inspection before anything was actually set in stone, and alluded to our rent being a good deal and pricing in the neighborhood going up, but nothing solid. We told her that our staying (or leaving) would depend on these terms, so could she give us a guess or talk to the landlord. She refused to do anything without an inspection. We were fine with the inspection, however didn't want to bother with scheduling it if we weren't staying. After a few "mis-communications" back and forth we decided to just leave to avoid having to deal with this mess. So we put in our notice and moved. At this point we were not thrilled with her, but not bothered enough to publicly complain. A few weeks later we got our deposit refund along with an itemized list of repairs and charges. About 90% of the charges were fine, but a few didn't make sense to us. On the list were two "repairs" but these repairs existed upon our move in and were even included on our move-in inspection sheet. One more charge was for INSTALLING blinds in a bathroom (we never had blinds in there). We contacted her immediately and explained the discrepancies. She replied stating that "there is no money left" from our deposit. It was all spent on repairs. We re-stated the issue. We are not responsible for these things because they were damaged upon our move in, we asked if she even went over our inspection sheet to compare to the repairs. She replied again "sorry no money left and also I no longer manage that property". No details, just basically a "go away now". We were stunned at the response. We asked for her supervisor contact info, or the info of the landlord or new property manager-- someone. No reply. Yeah I would love my money back, but I guess in the long run I am just happy this lady is no longer part of our life. We are too busy to deal with small claims court-- a day off would frankly cost more than our current loss. We are simply more annoyed at her total lack of responsibility and professionalism than the loss of funds. read more

Even though he had many other clients, Brent always made us feel like we were a priority. I have had nothing but trouble with this company. We were referred by our real estate agent to go through them but i would not tell people i know to go here. My wife has been trying to get a check that was supposed to be cut back to us for the last 3 weeks. When it was sent out it was sent to the address off the termite company we used. Even though we provided proof that we had paid when the repairs were completed. Michelle Pretel,Escrow Officer at Eagle Estates Escrow does not have a good business attitude. During these 3 weeks my wife left multiple emails and voice mails to get a hold of Michelle. Michelle finally got back to us via phone call today. When my wife asked why it took so long to call back, Michelle Pretel had the nerve to use the excuse that my wife did not leave a number on the voice mail. That would be understandable however there were multiple emails that went out with our phone number on it. Not to mention she is apparently friends with my real estate agent. She could have called her to get our number. I am sick of people being lazy and coming up with excuses for their laziness. read more
