Our group tried three sandwiches: the La Familigia, the Big Schlepper, and the Hillcrest. The La Familigia was enjoyable. The combination of capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, fresh mozzarella, arugula, and the spicy pickled pepper spread on ciabatta created a flavorful, well-balanced sandwich that I'd happily order again. The Big Schlepper was another winner. The corned beef paired perfectly with the Swiss cheese, spicy Dijon aioli, pickles, shaved cabbage, and caraway rye bread. Every bite had great texture and flavor. Unfortunately, the Hillcrest didn't meet expectations. When you think of chicken salad with apples and pecans, you expect that classic creamy chicken salad flavor. This version was much drier, with little to no mayonnaise, and the flavor was very different from a traditional chicken salad. In fact, someone at our table commented that it had an almost "fishy" taste, which was surprising. To be fair, taste is subjective, and I'm sure there are people who enjoy this style of chicken salad, so I'm only sharing the opinion of the person who ordered it.
