I came in to Mike's to pick up an order. The restaurant is located inside the same strip mall as Food Lion and some other restaurants and businesses which they share a parking lot. When I approached the restaurant it was people outside dining on the patio and inside. The smells coming from the kitchen were delightful but sadly the service was completely abrasive and spicy. I don't know if it was so busy that the mature Caucasian gentleman (or owner?) that was working the register was increasingly overwhelmed or what, but his attitude was in abundance. This interaction alone makes me never want to return here.

Pretty standard. No issues. Tasted as it should nothing that blew my mind away. Prices were good and fresh. I would come back. Only indoor dining. Order took slightly long though and they weren't as busy.

Food was great and flavorful! Good service and the ambience was chill. I'll definitely be coming back

While the bagels and style of Mike's is typical of a bagel shop in NYC or Long Island, I was a little frustrated with the service. Typically, in NYC, when you order just a bagel with cream cheese, the person who takes your order will just go ahead and make your bagel (that's the way it was done for the 19 years l lived in NY). It just makes sense. Instead, it was put in with the orders for people who ordered several breakfast bagels. As a result, I waited almost 20 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese. Typically, I just get a dozen bagels and take them home which is what I'll do going forward. It's not a knock on Mike's or the people working there because it's a great place with good bagels. I just wish they would change the process of completing simple orders.

When you are in the mood for a good deli, Mike's is definitely the place to go! I have only ever ordered breakfast. But I have never been disappointed. The bagels are so yummy ...and anything you add to it is icing on the cake. My go-to is smoked salmon, a fried egg, tomato, cheese, and mayo on a toasted plain bagel. The restaurant is rather small and fills up quickly. But it is well worth the wait! No frills.....good food....what more could you ask for?!? Pro-tip: They have a frequent buyer punch card if you plan to be a regular.

I'm a fan. I was preparing to do my normal weekly grocery shopping and I was reading the ingredients list on the bagels I usually buy. I don't love them, so I decided to look up bagels in the area. I had seen Mike's Deli and Bagels on my way to and from work, but I had thought nothing of it until my hunt for fresh bagels began. My partner in crime and I stopped in to purchase my dozen bagels. We didn't get there until after noon, but they still had a decent variety left. Granted, there was only one chocolate chip bagel left. Yeah, I took it. Sorry! I got a good variety, primarily blueberry, which is my favorite. We then ordered a bagel apiece to eat there. I got the plain bagel, toasted, with lox cream cheese. Guys, smoked salmon is expensive. They did not skimp on it at all. See my picture for proof. We were greeted by three employees when we entered, and while they were busy, they made sure we knew we would be served momentarily. It was not much of a wait before we got our orders in and our food was ready fairly quickly. The trick seems to be ordering breakfast during the lunch rush and vice versa. The place is small. It has your classic mom and pop shop feel to it, so you may not get prime seating if you try to eat here. When we went, the Concord Fire Department was there for lunch--that's another sign that it's good. They took up one large table, there was a small table, and then another large table in front of the small table. We sat at the second large one, as that was the only table left. Not all seats were accessible due to the cramped space. If you keep your expectations realistic that this place is a hidden gem and not built for the amount of business it gets, you'll be fine.

Crazy expensive for bagels. This doesn't even give you a bakers dozen. $20 a dozen overrated. Not returning. Nothing special

Get the cinnamon raisin bagel with walnut & raisin cream cheese or the french toast bagel with strawberry cream cheese -- you won't regret either one. Additionally, the service is great. They're efficient, they're helpful, and they're happy. They give you AMPLE cream cheese and I just love that aspect. If I want a new bagel + cream cheese combo, the workers there have got my back. The line was steady, the staff was hustling, and the smell of fresh bagels made the wait totally worth it. There had to be 15+ people hustling behind the counter (probably even more in the back), and despite constant flow of people coming in and what looked like nonstop online/call in orders, they had the operation running like a well-oiled machine. I ordered almost immediately, it just took a little while for the food to come out, which honestly was understandable considering how busy they were. The menu is huge with tons of bagel and cream cheese options, plus plenty of specialty sandwiches if you don't feel like building your own. I grabbed the Italiano special, a cheesesteak with the works, and two Asiago bagels for the next day (they're closed Sundays, so plan ahead!). The Asiago bagels were excellent, even the next morning they held up to perfection. The cheesesteak had great flavor with peppers and onions, though I would've loved a little more meat and a little less bread. The Italiano was also really tasty, but my order wasn't quite right. I asked for no roasted tomatoes or olives and to add onions, but it came with the tomatoes and no onions. Honestly the no olives was the most important part so not the end of the world. I fixed it at home with some onions and fresh banana peppers from the garden... again not a big deal, but worth mentioning. I'm sure if I was eating at the location they would've fixed it immediately. For around $30, I got two sandwiches, two bagels, and the sandwiches even came with chips, which was a nice surprise. Easy parking, easy to find, lots of seating (but inside and out -- a few picnic tables on the patio) and while the inside isn't anything fancy, that's not why you're here. You're here for solid bagels, great sandwiches, and a local spot that's clearly doing something right. I'd definitely come back, especially to try one of their breakfast sandwiches next time.

Nothing has changed--just that I gave three stars instead of two. I guess I'm in a good mood. As far as taste, it doesn't exist. I'm from Long Island and these are nothing like Long Island bagels. I hate to say that because the people were friendly. However, how friendly are they really if it's almost $9 for three bagels? This would be a good time to point out something I learned in life. Don't trust the nice people--they have an agenda. It's all manipulation. Trust the respectfully authentic people. I ate the Poppy Bagel but it wasn't very enjoyable. I couldn't even one quarter of the sesame bagel. I hate to write this but my loyalty is to the customer. In the poker world, my loyalty was to the poker player opposed to the poker rooms. This led to people being afraid to hire me. Instead, they hired very 'active' women. Lol. Good luck with that! I ain't no sell out. 99% of people I have met don't understand how I don't kiss ass for the money. I have my reasons. We got off bagels, didn't we? My bad! This place has a friendly staff but that's their job to get the money. Prices are high, signage is poor (losing business), and bagels are tasteless. Sorry! I would prefer to help businesses but this ain't the joint.
