They also have artisan bacon, an antipasto bar and various other specialty products. Family owned/operated, the staff is super friendly, funny and knowledgeable, the selection is vast, the quality is top-shelf and the prices are pretty reasonable given the quality. They always have various free samples and will generally allow you to sample anything you want. Ask them questions and they'll have good answers, recipe ideas and cooking techniques. Spend liberally and they'll toss a little free "gift" into your bag at the end. Been going here almost 20 years. Love these guys.

The new location also serves as a hub for sorting local deliveries. Delivery and pickup is very easy through their Marketbox system. Hammerheads on Locke have already proven to be an amazing community partner - and offer pop up food at local businesses. I attended a film premiere party at Steel Town Cider where Hammerheads on Locke were serving up poke bowls. Cider + poke = match made in heaven! Super friendly and helpful staff - love this place!! So thrilled the Ottawa Street location decided to expand.

This time it was $7 and it was just a bunch of crumbly bits sized from bacon bits to dust. Not edible as a snack. For some reason I went there AGAIN. This time the scoop full looked good, but it cost me $9. When I got it home they were good sized but rock hard. And I mean ROCK hard in the "may damage your teeth" hard. I have been getting my weekly groceries from the Locke street location for quite some time now and…read morehave experienced some really friendly staff! Today, a new clerk was checking me out at the cash. The customer before me was rude to the clerk but he acted neutrally. When it was my turn, I asked which cash we would be using and where I should put my basket because it's really awkward and painful to have to keep bending down to get items. He responded in a condescending manner that most people only buy 1-2 items and basically nobody uses the carts. I responded by suggesting they put a small bench at the front right under the cash on the customer side so we could put our baskets down while we unload groceries. He basically scoffed at me. So sad! Not sure if I will give anymore business to them!! Don't want to be belittled during my grocery trips.
