One of those awesome parks that you don't know they exist until you get lost. I went during lunch break since on Fridays I work in San Mateo and like to discover new spots and hidden places. This was a pearl for me, what a lovely setting. This park alone promotes an image of Foster City like the perfect eco-town, very local yet very international. I spent some time daydreaming while watching those nice houses facing the water, boat waiting at the door. Artificial or not, what a great setting for a park!

Nice park located within a neighborhood with a large playground with wood chips and another sand play structure enclosed behind a low wall. There's a beach with views of homes and their boats. Gates separate sand and park. Large grass area. Went here for a company picnic and there's plenty of grass and tables for large groups. Only thing I noticed is there was a lot of dog poop in the grass. Not nice.

Love this little park. It's quiet, easy to find parking. It's nestled between residential areas. There's a beach where you can take dip. The only downside is that, there's plenty of goose poop on the beach. Thet really need to sift that sand every week. But other than that, the picnic area and playground is clean. It's a great park to get some quiet time and unwind.

Small and too much goose poop. It would have been a nice beach access point but just too much goose poop.

Great park nestled in San Mateo next to the performing arts academy. It has a large play structure…read morewith multiple routes to climb and a twisty slide. It also has a set of bucket swings and 2 sets of regular swings. There is a walking path around the play structure and benches to sit on. I like that the park is away from the street. It is not fenced in though.

Joinville Park is a nice sized public park in San Mateo, CA. It's also known as "Bayside/Joinville…read morepark, " as it's adjacent to the Bayside Academy. This multi-use park features: -outdoor swim center -baseball field -multi-purpose field -playground -restrooms -tennis courts -dog park -picnic tables (reservable on park website) https://www.cityofsanmateo.org/3335/BaysideJoinville-Park I was in the area, and my GPS indicated that this park was nearby. So I went for a walk and visited the park. It's pretty easy to drive pass the entrance. The walk-in path is at Kehoe Ave & Kelly St. There's also a driveway leading to a common parking lot with Bayside Academy. It's not clearly marked, and it looks like you're driving into a school campus. So, I parked on the street. Based on the photos someone posted 12 yrs ago, this park hasn't changed much. It's looks fairly well maintained, and pretty clean of litter and dog turds. It has a cool walking path that goes by the Mariner's Lagoon. This community park is a nice place to rest, exercise, walk your dog, or just take a break from urban life. Located at 2111 Kehoe Ave, in the City of San Mateo.
