As the weather starts getting warmer, the itch to complete home improvement projects becomes more intense. Since moving into our home in 2017, we have noticed that our fence has been leaning slightly towards our home. Fast forward to 2022 (and many storms later), parts of the fence were dang near touching the side of our home. After receiving approval from the HOA and the owner of the home on the other side of the fence, I began submitting inquiries for fence installation quotes. After receiving quotes from multiple fence businesses, I almost settled for a quote that I thought was the best deal. As God would have it, my business savvy wife suggested that I obtain one more quote. Therefore, I called the customer service line for Ergeon and was connected with a Customer Specialist by the name of Allison Peters. Allison was readily available via phone call, email, or text message to answer my questions. Shortly after conducting a virtual inspection via Ergeon's software paired with my phone's video camera (I'm not sure why other businesses have yet to adopt similar technologies for quotes), Allison submitted the video recording of my backyard for review. The following day, Allison sent me an email containing the quote. After reviewing and approving the quote, Allison took record of my payment information and professionally handed me over to Project Manager Edgar Elizarraras. Edgar assisted with scheduling the pre-installation visit (needed in order to measure the work area & record information needed to obtain a dig permit) and the actual fence installation date. On the day of the installation, the fence installers showed up at 8:30 am, and finished the job shortly after 1:00 pm (this included some non-related fence work done for our neighbors)...talk about efficiency! Although I work from home and could hear the noise associated with installing a fence, the workers were fairly quiet. From start to finish, the entire process with Ergeon took less than a month to complete. I was thoroughly satisfied with the high level of customer service that I received from both Allison and Edgar. They seemed to genuinely care about my satisfaction as a customer, and did not exude any form of pushiness. I contacted a few fence companies, including Ergeon. I had to go back and forth with the sales representative several times to get the schematic right. When I finally thought we had it, I reviewed the PDF of the project plan, and it was still incorrect. I texted the sales representative to let her know, and she said the project manager would fix the measurements and redo the project plan when they came out. The project manager was scheduled to arrive on Monday between 9 AM and 11 AM. By 11 AM, I had not received any text or call, and I had another appointment to attend. I texted the sales representative, who apologized and informed her that I had to leave. She said she would call the project manager and let him know. I left and returned around 1 PM; shortly after, the project manager showed up, stating that no one had informed him. Coincidentally, another fence company was there to provide a quote. I informed the Ergeon project manager that I was canceling, and he accepted it. Personally, if I commit to a job, I show up or call if there are issues with getting to the job on time. With so many choices in this industry, you'd think this company would pride itself on standing out. Later that night, I received an email stating that I owed $150 without explaining the charge. If this is a cancellation fee, it's unfair because Ergeon broke the agreement by not showing up or calling. This issue seems to be an exception, as they generally do good work from what I can tell and have many satisfied customers. Up until they missed the appointment, their communication was satisfactory. For this review, it is just a beware and get everything on paper. I know I trust people too much, and that's my fault. Overall, this was a fail. read more

I requested a quote through Thumbtack and Ergeon responded right yeah. They gave me many different quotes because I wanted to see about a couple different areas being done. We decided to get the back fence done, (72 ft) and the left side gate redone as well as the rigjt side 4ft section. They had spectacular service from beginning to end. Afterwards, I was worried about a couple nails that were a bit out of place, they could maybe snag someone's clothes, and they came and fixed them. This company built my fence and it was falling backwards within two years. After contacting the escalation team for warranty repair I had to contact them several times to get anyone to respond.. after inquiring what the hold up was they sent someone out on an unscheduled visit and they showed up while I was at work. They 'repaierd' the lean by replacing the posts but the contractor that came out said they were going to take the beams all the way across to avoid the beams twisting again. That didn't happen.. they left my fence with frayed broken beams and now my fence is uneven. They broke my fence light and left old concrete everywhere. Even in my pool skimmer that they put a hole in..the gap in my gate I was promised would be fixed wasn't. When I scheduled another appt for their team to come at 4 pm they never showed. The escalation team, Juan apologized and said he'd send his top guy. That guy showed up and said I think the beams aren't covered but I'll check. I said in the meantime while your figuring that out can you remove the concrete and fix the gap. He agreed and left without doing one dang thing. This is my fence after paying thousands of dollars and I'm so unhappy and this company doesn't care. They don't answer calls and Juan will only respond to texts. Using Yelp, I received a couple of quotes for a 32-foot fence repair/replace job. Ergeon was super fast responding and technically savvy to get me a quote using online tools alone. Their quote was very reasonable and accurate! They came out and measured/ marked the work to be done, received a permit from the County, and replaced the fence as well as installed new posts to secure the rest of my fence. Terrible experience sales rep Angelica made errors throughout the whole process first was our rv gate approved that change order not the end of the world. Secondly day of install my husband walks out after we had repeatedly asked for steel posts and her response was yes all steel posts when she updated our quote for the rv gate steel posts were then removed supposedly. Terrible customer service. Substandard workmanship. Three neighbors with common fence requested separate invoices. Not honored or provided. The fence is not straight as it needed to be. It zigzags. We asked Ergeon to repair it. They sent a "superviso" to assess the work. He said it was straight. I asked him to utilize a laser for accuracy . He did not have one. I asked him to use a string line and he claimed he did not pisses one. We provided one for him to check for accuracy. He checked it. He admitted it was not straight. We could all see it with our very eyes, the string line could not lie. They requested more money to fix their substandard work. Now they claim the fence was completed per the contract and insist on more money to fix their problem. They want to make it ours. We shall see what the next steps will be.
