For a process that was entirely on-line I was at first a bit skeptical as I prefer working with local service providers. However, the estimate was significantly lower than my local options so I pursued work with Ergeon. I found the staff very responsive and patient with issues trying to coordinate with the neighbor sharing the fence. Once we signed the agreement it was promptly scheduled. The men that built the fence were hard workers and got an 80 foot fence done in 2 days. My only issue was some confusion by the builder about how to install the tree box portion of the fence (one box would have prevented my access to my tree). Asked Ergeon to provide a new wooden side gate entrance. Their pre-sales dept responsible for assessing needs, providing estimate, and sending out agreement documents is excellent in their follow-up and responsiveness and also providing me updates when cost of supplies going to be used in building the door went down! I had a little more challenges with scheduling and project management team to provide reliable scheduling, follow-up, and communication of any delays and status. I had to chase after for status of when the installation would actually occur. (I would knock half a star for this inconvenience if I could). Despite that, the overall door is A+ and really impressed with the quality, worksmanship, and finished product. Door looks and feels solid and when the gate clasp latches it just makes the overall experience still a 5 star despite chasing after them to complete the projects and get paid. read more

We needed to install a gate in the driveway and a door for the side of the house. Overall, my experience with Ergeon has been great. However, some suggestions. 1. Do an in-person consult when you're trying to get the quote finalized. The initial consult was done via video call which was fine because I was still looking around for the best fit. We did the "meeting-before-formal-quote" as a video call (which I was iffy about), so when the installer came to the house and did the actual markings, I was taken back by how our video chat was so not what I wanted. I think if you're a visual person like me, it'll be so much more helpful to doing at least one of the consults in person. 2. Be there when the installer comes to do the work! (I was told I didn't need to be there, but I did.) When our installer got there, his understanding of the job was very different from what was written on the paper. So I had call the Project Manager (you get assigned one) a few times to get things straightened out. I just couldn't give a 5 star based on the fact that there were a number of clarifications needed. HOWEVER, our installer had some great insights and suggestions for what should be done and what's realistic, so that helped when we needed to make adjustments, my project manager worked diligently as the middleman between me and the installer, and because there were some delays in getting the project done, they were flexible with the final walkthrough. I am very happy with how the gate turned out, so yes, if you're looking for a metal-framed double door gate, I'd totally recommend Ergeon. read more

I contacted Ergeon to get around 80 ft of fence replaced. The estimate process went great, and Juan was super nice to work with. The work was supposed to be done in 2 weeks The problems started when the estimate process was done, the quote accepted, and I got moved to a program manager. There was supposed to be an installer visit to check the work that needed to be done, and that never happened. I told the program manager that the work needed to be done by an specific date (I was going out of town on vacation) a bit over a month after the quote was approved, but by the time that my vacation came, not even the initial visit had been done, so I sent them an email stating that at that point the project was cancelled, and that I would look for someone else to get it done. There was no reply to that email While I was in vacation (about a week after I sent that email), the program manager called me, apologized for the delay, and asked me if there was any way that they could get the work done. I told him that if I decided to give them another shot, I'll contact them Once I came back from vacation I sent them a message saying that if they could get their installer to do the initial visit within the next week we could get the project done. It now has been 2 weeks, and as it has been pretty normal during this process, I haven't received even a reply about that If you care about your project being done, not even on time, but done at all, look at someone else. If you need concrete installation stay away from that company! I chose Ergeon because their sales staff are truly exceptional and super efficient. But once I signed an agreement and got intro call from the project manager everything started to fall apart: PM never at his desk and could never provide neither project execution schedule nor explanation why quote price jumped by 60+% 3 weeks later and then mysteriously dropped back close to original after I've asked for an explanation on the price change. Even after construction started , team kept changing the completion date and in the interim turned my backyard into a dumpster with plastic bottles, food leftovers and worst of all cigarette butts. But what surprised me most of all, is that in the middle of the construction I receive an email with invoice despite the my yard is still littered with construction material and nobody scheduled a promised final walkthrough nor even gave a dump courtesy call saying that project is done. read more

Replaced a very bad back fence and added a short fence to conain our dog. Both fences were very well done. The yard behind me had a cement level a lot higher than my dirt yard and Ergeon handled the difference well. They used 2 x 12s to face to the cement. The 4 x 4 uprights were placed much closer together than my other fences done by someone else. I think this fence could withstand a hurricane. (We don't get them here in California.) The recent storm blew my shared backyard fence into my yard. I first went on thumbtack and got a verbal/text quote from an unlicensed fence repair man who offered no contract or guarantee. NOT Then I found Ergeon on Yelp and because of their high reviews, contacted them. I'm very impressed on the professional and efficient way they manage their business. They responded quickly to my request and we set up a time to conduct a remote viewing using my iPhone to assess the damage. I used Ergeon for a fence project that cost $6,610, and they double charged my bank account. When I discovered their error on the following Sunday morning, I notified them immediately and was told that their Finance department would reach out the following day. They eventually called me late in the day on Monday with two options. Option 1: I could call my bank and have them just cancel the charge, which turned out to be inaccurate, as my bank could only help me file a dispute, which would take 10 business days to complete. Option 2: They could refund me, which would take "a couple of days." After talking to my bank, I let them know that they would need to refund me, which they indicated they would do. On Wednesday, the Project Manager reached out to tell me they had refunded the money and asked me to confirm that I see the money in my bank account, so I checked and there was nothing, so I responded back as such. I checked again on Thursday morning and still nothing, so I reached back out to see what's going on. At that point, the story shifted and they told me that the refund would take 3-5 business days to show up in my account. That made me first wonder why they would ask me then to confirm whether I am seeing the money in my account. When I subsequently spoke again to the Finance department, the lady wanted to argue with me over the meaning of the word "couple." Apparently, I am supposed to be able to guess that when Ergeon says "a couple of days" that means 3-5 business days. I'm sorry but 5 business days is a WEEK. A week is not "a couple of days." So, Ergeon overcharged me by over $6K. Then, they showed insufficient urgency to rectify their error. They were unable to communicate and properly set expectations as to when I would get my money back, and to top it all off, they wanted to argue with me over what words mean. Super disappointed with how I was treated. I won't be using them again. read more

I called in to Ergeon today to inquire about a concrete project for the backyard at my residence. During my first call with a representative, upon hearing about other specific concerns I had, I was promptly redirected to a specialist - Inaki - to discuss further. While speaking with Inaki, he suggested we move the conversation to a video call to help clarify concerns about the project as objectively as possible. I appreciated this attention to detail. On video, I walked Inaki through my initial plans, after which he started offering recommendations and better alternatives, and most importantly, explained all his recommendations clearly. He also offered a step by step plan about tasks to-do before concrete can be laid, details about how the project will likely be done (adjusted to my preference, of course), any limitations that may hold the project back, and the expected timeline from getting the estimated quote to the start of the project. Given I have no prior knowledge or experience with this type of project, I am very thankful for Inaki's professionalism and willingness to assist me throughout this planning process. Andy has helped to pin down the retaining foundation wall 11/2' due to the next door neighbor has create a flower bed. Whenever she waters the plants the base boards will be wet and eventually it riot and deteriorate. With the retaining wall added 11/2', it will be better preserve the wood fence straight attached to the earth soil. Diego even go thru a google meet to take a look at my yard and explain all these! This review is only for the free quoting process (thus far). I submitted an online request for a quote and was responded to quickly. My contact, Kelly, arranged for me to start off with her on a virtual visit using Google Meet to go over the work I was looking to do. We walked around the property for a better understanding of what is currently there and any obstacles that might come up. Kelly answered my questions, and arranged a 2nd call a couple of days later due to some poor reception we were having. During the calls, I explained that I have some grand ideas of changing the whole look of the fence rather than a simple replacement. Given that my surrounding neighbors may not be in favor of my unique design ideas, Kelly provided me several different quotes (broken down by line items of the tasks at hand) to give us options to consider. The quotes included a few computer renderings of the proposed ideas to help visualize the concepts being discussed and to ensure that we were on the same page. Once the preliminary quotes were provided, Kelly also sent text messages to ensure I got the email, and answered some more questions I had. I asked a couple more questions and she was able to provide some example photos of other similar jobs for further clarity. All in all, Kelly and Ergeon have been very professional, timely, and accommodating...and this is only for the preliminary quoting phase.
