I've been a patient of Dr. Wee for a few years. I'm prone to getting ingrown toenails. This last visit I had I went in early after a few days after having some discomfort and before the toe got infected. This time I opted to get the ingrown toenail removed and I also did the permanent removal / cauterization. Seriously Dr. Wee is the best! He is very knowledgeable, very personable and really cares about his patients. His bed side manner is awesome. He made sure I was comfortable and talked me through everything. I have been taking my elderly parents to Dr. Wee for 7 years. The office manager Gary and the ladies that work there are always friendly and accomodating. We can't say enough about the care we received from Dr. Wee. Our HMO doesn't do a satisfactory job when it comes to certain areas of specialty care, namely podiatry, so we went in search elsewhere - and found Dr. Wee on Yelp, beginning approximately four years ago during the Pandemic when it was difficult to find a podiatrist with an open office. Dr. Wee is patient, knowledgeable, attentive, skillful and intuitive to a patient's needs. In other words, he's everything a doctor should be. I had two severely ingrown toenails and Dr. Wee did a double matrixectomy. Dr. Wee was fantastic! He did exactly what good doctors should do. He fully explained the entire process before he started, allowed me to ask questions, then while performing the procedure, he talked me through it, telling me what he was about to do before he did it. He checked in often to ask if I was in pain, and when I was, he provided more local anesthesia. He was very caring and gentle and clearly very experienced. I also had the benefit of having Gary right there to help Dr. Wee and he was good at talking me up and distracting me as well. It's the day after and I have no pain and things look good. A bit nervous coming in as i had to get about 85% of my fungal athletes toe cut off and filed down and he removed it with absolutely no pain at all. I can continue my everyday living activities and walk with no pain! Truly thankful for him. He is very personable and cares for his patients, I would recommend to anyone in the Southern California area. I was in and out very quickly and the staff was very friendly as well. We took a conservative approach and i am currently applying a topical cream to the affected area 2x/day. I had a growth on the heel of my left foot. After finding many solutions posted on the internet, I tried to self medicate it for 3 years and it continued to come back. Long story short, my self medication/treatment was not working, my foot got so infected and swollen I was worried my foot was going to be amputated. Luckily Dr Wee knows his stuff. Gave me over the counter remedies and explained in laymens terms what my problem was. After 3 years fighting that growth I am happy to say I still have my foot and it is all healed up. I went to Dr Wee with the worst case of planter fasciitis, I couldn't hike, I had pain when walking, it was very bad. I bought and tried everything, calf stretchers, balls, etc, etc, etc, and if I had just known that Dr Wee's orthotics would get me back on the trail, I could have saved so much time and money! I am once again hiking 10 to 12 miles up the Santa Monica Mountains and loving life. He gave my 61 year old foot a total physical and passed on every measure except what needed to be corrected with the orthotics. His techniques are non invasive. Based on internet reviews, I took my mom to Dr. Wee because she needed professional foot care (toenails and calluses) and her previous podiatrist was not gentle with her nerve-sensitive feet. We can't say enough great things about Dr. Wee, from the excellent service he provided to his sense of humor. He and his kind, attentive staff made my mom feel completely at ease, and afterwards she referred to the visit as "fun." I recommend Dr. Wee to everyone.
