    My beautiful nose!
    Meryl O.

Dr. Y did a rhino revision for me about 4 years ago. I broke my nose twice when I was growing up and the first Dr did me dirty. Dr. Y listened to all my wishes and explained everything to me so patiently. I met with about 5 drs and easily chose Dr. Y! He told me it would take 2-3 years for absolutely all the swelling to go down. I really think I was at about 99% in a year. I was just looking at my nose today and thought "damn that's a good nose!" so I thought today should be the day I finally write this review. Also, I have had people compliment my nose without knowing all it's been through which is saying a lot! It looks extremely natural- like as if it were never broken! Thank you Dr. Y!

Very good surgical work. His work allowed my child to breath perfectly at night. Thank you so much.

Do you provide Kenalog shots for swelling if I had revision out of the country?

Yes we can but it is case dependent and we would first have to do evaluation.

Do you check for nicotine in the blood tests?

No. We don’t generally check for that.

Would i need to stop smoking before a rhinoplasty?

Smoking does alter the healing process so yes it would be ideal to stop smoking a few weeks before and after surgery.

I am in need of sinusplasty and opening up my turbines or one of them. that, plus I have a deviated septum. I see a lot of plastic surgery topics, but not these two medically necessary procedures. Are these also done by Dr. Yavrouian?

Yes, he commonly performs both endoscopic sinus surgery for patients with chronic sinusitis and functional nasal surgery including septoplasty and inferior turbinate reduction for patients with nasal obstruction.

How much will it cost for an ear lobe reduction? Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, otoplasties are not covered by insurance.

Hello, will my PPO insurance cover septoplasty?

Yes, it should. Please call us at 818-241-2150 or 818-241-2101 to setup a consultation.

    How much is consultation?

    Hi. A consultation is $150.

Do you specialize in non-surgical rhinoplasty? If so, how much would it cost?

Yes. We do. The cost depends on the amount and type of filler used. Please call our office at (818)241-2150 for more information.

    Where does surgery take place?

DearJean, It depends on the surgery but most of the outpatient procedures take place at the…

I had my appointment three weeks ago, and I'm still waiting to receive my nasal spray prescription. After my appointment, the front desk staff asked which pharmacy I wanted my prescription sent to. I told them it should already be on file because I had filled it out on my paperwork. They said they couldn't find it, but after I told them which pharmacy it was, they located it and assured me my prescription would be sent there. A week went by, and I still hadn't received my medication. I called my pharmacy, and they told me they had never received a prescription from the office. I called the office back, and this time a staff member told me, "The medical assistant forgot to enter the prescription, but I'll take care of it." That was last week. Now it's been three weeks since my appointment, and I still don't have my medication. I called today to speak with the office manager and have been on hold for over 22 minutes with no resolution. The lack of communication, follow-through, and organization is unacceptable. Patients shouldn't have to repeatedly call just to receive a prescription that should have been sent after their appointment. I am extremely frustrated with the way this office is run and would not recommend it to anyone.

This review for Dr. Battaglia is long overdue…read more Dr. Battaglia was referred to me after I consulted another doctor (for something else entirely). My first appointment, I think it took me like... 2 to 3 months before I actually got to see Dr. Battaglia (found out why later). I figured it maybe worth it as my problem has been with me most of my life and I kind of refuse to be a mouth breather any further. When my appointment finally came, my first meeting was with his assistant (sorry I forgot your name) but I got to describe my problem and basically it has been a life long problem of mine. After listening for a bit, she proceeded to basically numb my nose so he can be seen with a small little camera. That is already far better than what my other ENT doctor has done by the way. While the little camera was snaking its way up both of my nostrils, I realized quickly that, I don't think it should be... FEELING it snake like that. When that was done, the assistant (not PA, actual assistant) showed me the video and I saw the problem with my own eyes. Can't really breathe normally when your nasal passage is touching (turbinate's) and other areas were so narrow it was not ideal. I was told to wait a little bit before Dr. Battaglia came, and when he did come in. We exchanged greetings, I did my best to explain things again but he took a look himself, even though the video was there. He said some medical terms that went completely over my head but I already know the gist of the problem I been having (since i just saw it). I know my parents, both have an issue similar to this (not sure how bad) but it was clear to me, at least for my case, it is a genetic problem. Was then given two options, keep doing what I been doing with over-the-counter medication (which was doing barely anything) or have surgery to correct my issue. Septoplasty and turbinate reduction. I agreed to the surgery on the spot, despite not knowing the risks or cost involved because I am way over dealing with not being able to breathe through my nose. Had one pre-op appointment (back in late December, 2025) which was brief. Dr. Battaglia said the operation is pretty straight forward (as he has done this plenty of times I'm sure). There is reason why he takes so long to visit because half of the week, he is doing surgery. Currently three and a half months post-surgery (end of January, 2026. Review for that is posted) and so far, I cannot be happier considering I been able to breathe like a normal person for once. First week was definitely a bit of a pain. Just what I been experiencing most of my like times two. It was that annoying but so far, it has been worth it. I am glad I went through with it. My other ENT doctor was no where as descriptive or helpful. Taking constant over the counter medication for obstruction in your nose is not a solution. Having a video to see for certain the problems I been dealing with all my life is a good way to tell me that what my other ENT doctor suggested was never going to work as my issue goes far deeper. Now, the surgery doesn't resolve my allergy problem but that's another story. If you ever need any advice, having actual proof shown to you by the doctor is always the best. So you can make your own decision.

Without properly evaluating my breathing concerns, he accused me of trying to exaggerate an issue so insurance would cover a rhinoplasty. I explained that I had previously had my nose checked in Armenia and that I was already planning to pay for a rhinoplasty there. My reason for visiting him was simply to understand what was currently causing my breathing problems. Instead of listening, he made several negative comments about patients receiving nasal treatment in Armenia and returning unable to breathe. He also told me, "No offense, but you don't look congested at all," which felt dismissive and unprofessional. He was also rude to my mother, who was only trying to ask questions and understand how she could help me. His comments about Armenia and Armenian patients made both of us feel judged and disrespected. I left without receiving a meaningful explanation, proper evaluation, or any helpful guidance regarding my breathing concerns. I would not recommend this doctor. Save your time and seek an ENT who is not racist and who will listen to your symptoms, conduct a thorough examination, and treat you with respect.
