I was a patient here between 2019 - 2024, repeatedly returning because I liked the results of my nose filler. However, the experience was consistently awful. I always waited between 1 to 3 hours to be seen. Dr. Kay never once acknowledged or apologized for the extreme delays, which shows a glaring lack of respect for her patients' time, even though her staff was always kind and apologetic. Eventually my nose began to look constantly red. I brought it up and asked if the filler needed to be dissolved. She dismissed my concerns, and prescribed antibiotics, which did absolutely nothing. I finally sought a second opinion from a new injector who confirmed my suspicions: I had a minor vascular occlusion. I am currently in the process of having the filler dissolved. (BOTCHED FILLER + EXTREME WAIT TIME) I went to Dr. K's Pasadena clinic twice for lip filler, and each visit was extremely disappointing. Both times I waited far beyond my scheduled appointment time, once for nearly three hours. I was left alone in a dark exam room with no updates or check-ins. (Even during the Botox visit, I still waited far longer than expected.) At every other aesthetic clinic I've been to, I've been seen promptly but here, I was simply left waiting with no communication. When Dr. K finally came in, it felt rushed and chaotic. She and another woman quickly asked what I was getting, apologized for being "super busy," applied numbing cream, and returned a short while later to inject me very quickly. The filler portion took less than 2 minutes, and afterward, I was sent straight out to pay. The entire experience lacked the care and professionalism I would expect from a medical office. Unfortunately, the results were also poor. The filler ended up placed on the inside of my lip, creating a visible shelf and thickness when flipped inward. It even caused a temporary speech impediment (a lisp). When I went elsewhere to have it dissolved, the provider who treated me was shocked at how much filler had been misplaced. That experience alone made me lose all trust in this clinic. For context, I paid between the standard price range at this clinic and all of that filler had to be dissolved. I've since gone to other professionals for aesthetic treatments and have never had a single issue or been made to wait excessively. Having worked in customer service myself, I can confidently say this kind of disregard for patients' time and comfort is unprofessional. Don't assume that just because someone is a "facial plastic surgeon" you'll automatically receive better results or treatment, that was not my experience here. In short: overpriced, poorly managed, and rushed care that left me with misplaced filler and zero trust in the practice. To add, when I first visited for Botox in my masseter due to TMJ, a nurse administered the injections. I had a few units left over, so she asked if I wanted them in my forehead, I said yes. Then, completely unprompted, she looked at me and said, "You'd be a perfect candidate for under-eye filler." I was 25 years old at the time and found that comment very off-putting. I never asked about under-eye filler and was perfectly fine with how my eyes looked. It felt more like an upsell than a genuine medical suggestion, and honestly, it made me uncomfortable. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr Kay and her team. Everyone was very welcoming from the get-go and took time to explain all the steps of the Tox study (three sessions total), which focuses on my forehead area. It was my first time having Botox - I've always been slightly nervous about trying it - and I was a bit unsure what to expect, how it would feel etc., but being in the hands of Dr Kay made me feel so much at ease within minutes of speaking with her. The procedures are quick and felt nothing more than a mild pinch. About a week after my first appointment, I literally couldn't believe the difference when I looked in the mirror.
