He does not go to a different room to weigh your gold. He does everything in front of you. It is also impeccably clean. Not a big office, but everything is done in front of you. I never like the idea of them taking your jewelry in the back room because you're never sure if you're getting your jewelry back if you decide you don't want to sell it. I had an idea of what it was worth and what I should get dealing with AI. I also want to mention meeting Stuart was a treat in itself. I did not realize you had to have a reservation.. Judy, the receptionist suggested I call him gave me his phone number and I did. He was wonderful and said he would be there in 15 minutes. I had a wonderful visit with him and he he seem to be a very nice man. I had no complaints either about the amount that he offered. It was a little bit less than what AI suggested, but all in all I never ended up going to the other places I decided to take his offer because he did everything in front of me. Because everything was so impeccably clean. And because Stuart was so accommodating to me. I didn't think anybody would ever go over the amount AI suggested anyway so I took the offer.

I also took a watch I was giving as a gift there to have it sized correctly. Robert was kind enough to teach us how to use the watch even, since it hadn't come with any sort of owner's manual.
