I've spoken with the director & told her how unprofessional Jenna is & how rude she is. Today I received a call that they are dropping my son from the program because me & Jenna got into an argument once again because she called threatening to pause my son services. As far as the school itself I haven't seen much progress with my son, I've asked numerous times to speak with his other therapists to see what's going on , the only person that cared really was his BCBA Amanda, she's the only one who follows up with me & shows she really care about the kiddos. Would not recommend they only care about the money !!!

Every therapist (Natalie, Lexie and Kirsten) we've worked with has been kind, professional, and incredibly skilled at meeting kids where they are while gently encouraging them forward. The team not only helped my daughter meet all her milestones, they also empowered us as parents to understand her needs and support her at home. We especially appreciated how collaborative they were across disciplines--she was treated as a whole child, not just a checklist of goals. CPTWC has truly been a part of our village. I made note of it in hopes that I'd successfully achieve a pregnancy and might check out the programs here, and once I was pregnant signed up for their mailing list. They offer a variety of services from doula and lactation support, childbirth and early childhood classes, to various parent & baby groups. I was here because I attended a music program for babies that was held here and hosted by a partner organization. The space is really lovely and welcoming to parents and children; there are gathering spaces, chairs, pillows, and whatnot. You'll need to take your shoes off when you enter so don't wear lace up thigh high boots! There are great east facing windows that let in enough light that I think when I was here we didn't even have the lights on. I'd like to attend a group that they have here (and as of September 2023 they have a check-in offer for just that, so I hope to use it soon!). The other two parent/baby groups at the music class we went to have been in attendance here because they knew one another, and it would be great to have a community closer to my neighborhood. Parking is ample--it's not a permit zone on Damen itself, though I'm not sure about the side streets. I'd encourage any new parent to see what they have to offer.

I really liked the small group feel and that there was no judgment, they really encourage everyone to make choices that work best for them and their baby. I love PTN for the following reasons: -- New client logistics: I found it very difficult to find a pediatric speech or physicial therapist in Chicago who would bill my medical insurance rather than require up-front payment out of pocket. PTN was very helpful and accommodating while I petitioned my insurance company get them to cover services (which they eventually agreed to do). They bill my insurance first, then charge me for the balance AFTER they receive information from my insurance company regarding my patient responsibility. -- Child evaluation: I have had Speech, PT, and OT evaluations on my children at various times over the past 6 months. I have been very impressed with the quality of the evaluation sessions, the advice on what we can do at home, and the written reports we have received after the fact. In some cases therapy was not recommended, which I appreciate. -- Home-based treatment: Having done office-based PT for one of my children previously, I was skeptical about the home-based model at first. Having experienced it now for the last 6 months, I wouldn't do it any other way. We have higher quality sessions since the kids are comfortable in our home and we learn to incorporate things we have in the house into therapy so that we can continue the work even when it is not "therapy time." It is also very convenient not having to pack up and drive my child across town for appointments (I am a working Mom). -- Quality of services: We have had PT and Speech Therapy for our kids through PTN and had fantastic results working with Triston and Tom. I especially liked the way that they could discuss my children as a team and make sure that they were coordinating care and sharing information to ensure that everyone was seeing the same thing and working towards the same goal. We also had an evaluation for OT and found that to be satisfactory as well. It is worth noting that I have also been through the Chicago Early Intervention process. I strongly preferred working with PTN. I can't say enough good things about the experience that I have had.

This therapist-owned and operated company has incredible professionals working for them. As someone who is both a therapist and a parent dealing with EI, I have met many therapists - and you won't find anyone more professional, attentive, and compassionate than these guys. They are simply the best! My child cannot wait for them to arrive in the morning. The news was hard to digest, and my heart hurt. I really knew nothing about Autism, I didn't know where to start. With his Early Intervention services stopping, it became my mission to act fast and find my son the BEST possible help I could find him. That's when we found Blue Bird Day. Right from the start, I knew this was the place for my son. From the very first phone call, to the site visit & tour, to meeting the staff, bringing my son in for evaluation...every step of the way the entire staff was so helpful, caring and knowledgeable. I knew my little guy would be in good hands and I truly believed he'd be getting THE BEST help I could find for him. Aside from the 4-hour school day, he also receives individualized/intensive therapy. In just a little over 7 months he has already made so much progress! He's socializing, vocalizing more, communicating his needs in various ways including signing...he is just thriving! My daughter has been with BBD North Center for 3 years, enrolled pretty early on as a 2 year old…read more She has ASD, GDD, feeding difficulties and ADHD. They came highly recommended by OTs from EI and from colleagues at UIH. So far my daughter has had astronomical leaps in communication, social emotional skills, self regulation, and academic (kindergarten) skills. She still has a lot of things to work on but the team has been amazing. I want to specially shout out Salena, the BEST BCBA ever. She sets aside an hour bi weekly to talk to me about my daughter's progress, my future goals and priorities, and sometimes acts as a parent therapist to help me manage my own expectations and anxieties. For a long time, my daughter would not enter public bathrooms. This is something we've been working on for years. Since Salena has taken over her case, my daughter now goes inside Starbucks and Trader Joes and even washes her hands! This has been the MOST progress she's had on this front. My daughter is also very attached and affectionate towards Salena, which is a testament to her skills and genuine care.

So organized, always creative, lively, fun and interactive sessions. I have not found anything like it in all of Chicago and it is affordable, always a consideration when choosing therapies for a kiddo in need. They accept and bill insurance companies and are always easy to work with in every aspect. Very responsive to emails and questions which is so important especially when you as the parent might not know what might be going on or who to turn to with questions. I always appreciate that any request I have or concern to address, they help find a solution, have an idea or give a suggestion. They truly care about kids and try to help in any way they can. I have another child too and love that I am always able to bring him and comfortably wait in the waiting room without issue. We do not feel very cared for at this office…read more We are having ongoing issues with our son's prescription, and we found out from a different location, that we have not been told information that would have made our lives a lot easier. Our son has a monthly prescription, and we have been frantically calling around on the day that his prescription expires, because we were told that they couldn't do anything to refill the prescription until 30 days were up each month, so we are always calling ON THE DAY the prescription expires, and it causes a lot of running around and uncertainty. We just found out, after a year of going here, that we could have been calling up to a week before hand, to pre-order the prescription filing if the dr just made sure to set the effective date to the correct fill date. We were also told the dr could send 3 prescriptions, since they are good for 90 days, and we wouldn't have to call the drs office every month, only every 3. Why were we not told ANY of this? Why were we forced to go through a panic every month if it could have been avoided? So, this month, we are again calling in trying to get a prescription filled, ON the day we run out, because we were not told the above, and of course there is not a dr in the office who can fill our prescription, so now we are out of my sons prescription, which greatly affects him, and will be out for at least the entire weekend. The nurses we spoke to on the phone were not only unhelpful, but seemed like they actively had no interest in helping us. What if the prescription was a life dependent prescription, then what? Are you literally saying there is no way to fill a prescription on the weekends? We offered to drive to them pick up a physical prescription, or asked if there was ANY other thing we could do, and of course were met with flat "No"'s. I left it at two stars because we do like our Dr, Dr Sterrett, but all of the other failings around every other part of this Pediatricians office, has been so under our expectations, and the lack of interest in actually supporting their patients, has reached a breaking point, and I think this is our last straw, we will be looking elsewhere for a new pediatrician.
