I started going to Athletico in July due to frequently hurting my neck and shoulders, and between the sessions I spent in their office and the homework they gave me, the improvements started almost immediately. It's now been a few months since I've had any setbacks. I feel confident that even though I have "graduated" from physical therapy that if I keep up with my stretches and home exercises that I'll continue feeling great! The entire staff are all so friendly and helpful, and I never felt uncomfortable speaking up if I was having trouble with an exercise. I called athletico based off a recommendation. I needed to get in immediately. Pulled out my back, pain so severe couldn't change clothes, bend down, sit down, or use stairs. I don't need X-rays I know what the issue is. This location in Roscoe village turned me away saying no availability for two weeks. After an ankle break and several weeks wearing a boot, I was in great need of physical therapy to get my ankle and my entire lower leg back to walking and running normally. As a first time physical therapy patient, I had a great experience at Athletico Roscoe Village. Stephen really listened to me and asked questions to figure out what was going on with my pain. He would change my exercises as needed. I also saw other therapists there who were equally as attentive. She pushes me when I need it, listens to my concerns, celebrates my triumphs, and is always thinking ahead in my plan of care. I was a non-believer in PT till I was treated by Stephen and Rachel. Very simply put, they are very knowledgeable in the science of how the human body should work! I had a very bad back injury and in a matter of weeks, I am mobile to the point of not needing pain killers anymore. I'm a professional PT clients as I've had 4 surgeries in the last 5 years with lots of rehab. I've been all over the city for PT, but once I found Shannon VanAntwerp at Accelerated/Athletico, the buck stopped there. From thorough assessments to appropriate exercises in-house and for home, to massage and needling for pain relief, these folks are at the top of their game. People rave about Paul and I finally scheduled a few appointments with him when Shannon was out of town, and I appreciated him being completely up to speed on my progress and keeping it moving forward instead of recreating the wheel. I have been seeing Paul Thomas for about 3 months for lower back pain and foot pain. I can honestly say that my back pain is gone... And was really happy with both the facility and his work. My foot is still an issue but I should probably stop running on it all the time. His unique approach to physical therapy w needling seems to really work! Good staff and adequate facility. However, they really need an automatic door and ramp for anyone with major injuries.

I've gone to physical therapy at other places, including trying to go to a chiropractor for various issues and I used to be one of those people who wait until the last minute to do anything about an injury. I end up either really disliking the the cost or not feeling it necessary to continue to go and will always quite before my injury is fully healed. However after going to PT at this Athletico (which also happens to be really close to my apt) and seeing Jake, I actually LIKE going to PT and seeing the positive results. The workers there are so welcoming and make you feel like you're really important to them and it keeps me coming back without having any negative feelings about it all. I also don't feel like they are trying to gauge you for money which I always feel like the medical field tends to do. In fact, the first day I went, not only did the receptionist look up my insurance, but also was able to provide some information and detail out my rough cost of each visit. Then she asked if I was comfortable with this and that I still wanted to schedule my next appointments.
