Best used car and truck dealership I have ever dealt with. In the 11 years we've been here, we have purchased over 12 cars from them, all of which have never had a single issue. Gary's prices are incredibly fair, and he has gotten me financing for as little as 2% (even when my credit was in the gutter). He's incredibly picky about the cars he brings in and puts up for sale, and stands behind every single one. If you have a problem during the entire time you own one of his vehicles, he will repair it and only charge for materials. That's a huge selling point for me and something you won't find at any other used car dealership around that I've found. I cannot say enough great things about this dealership. I have purchased two cars from them over the last 8 years, and they have by far surpassed my customer service expectations! I recently experienced a breakdown on the highway, and I had no idea where to have my car towed for the repair. I was in a slight panic and wasn't sure what to do. I called Ernest Motors, and asked if there was anyone who could take a look at it to tell me what was wrong. I spoke with Gary Ernest, and he told me to have them tow it there and they would take a look at it. The Hero Unit that came to my rescue had said it was my alternator after checking it out. Well, after I had it towed to Ernest Motors, they checked it out and confirmed that's exactly what had happened. Note, I bought my car there about five years ago, so this was not a fresh purchase, and alternators do go bad over time, so this was normal. They made a call and had the part sent over to them. While I was inside, and trying to find someone who could pick me up, they came in and said "your car's ready to go". I was shocked, as I thought I would have to leave it there, or have it towed to a shop to have the work done. They actually put the new alternator in my car and sent me on my way. Thank you Gary and Eric for fixing my problem, let alone within an hour! If that's not a dealership that stands behind their cars and then, after a few years of owning the car, goes above and beyond.... Just saying, they are AMAZING people! To make a long story short we recently bought a truck for my son and delivered it to him at his college in N. Georgia. On the drive up I noticed a problem with the transmission. When my son came home for spring break I took the truck to a transmission shop to have it diagnosed. I contacted Ernest Motors about the issue and they authorized the repairs and paid the bill in full once the truck was ready to be picked up. They didn't have to do this, but they did. Recently purchased a used vehicle from owner of lot and to say we are regretful is an understatement. While test driving the car, we noticed a funny sound while accelerating, in response we asked for someone to test drive with us and listen. The owner volunteered to take us and listen, where he immediately said "oh that is normal for a V6 engine, it's just back pressure, absolutely nothing to worry you." The way he just knew and it rolled off the tongue, we immediately had faith and believed that he knew what he was talking about. He ensured us that in the past if any of his customers had issues right after purchase, he always did everything he could to make right. About 2 weeks after purchase, the noise just didn't sit right with me, so we took to Ford dealership to have listened to and see if others sounded the same. Turned out the motor mount had gone, was damaging the car to be driven and needed to be replaced that day. When we called lot owner to inform him of the true issue, he refused to reimburse for part because we didn't bring to him to fix. My point being he said there was no problem is the reason we got a second opinion and found out it was a huge issue. His response then, "If you want to call me a liar or misleading, I will get a restraining order." All we wanted was that reimbursement for we felt we were mislead at point of sale. ***In short, every stereotypical worse nightmare of buying a car from a slimy, used car salesman came to be true.**** read more

We purchased a f250 from this dealership. We were excited to get a diesel truck. We had a 35 foot travel trailer that we towed so this truck would be perfect...well 1st time towing our trailer (before even the first payment was due) we smelled coolant...yeah that happened...then after we had to buy a new truck cause the fix was going to be over $10,000! We drove by one morning early and noticed all the doors were open to ALL their diesel trucks ONLY! Our stomachs dropped that we didn't know this before! They crank the diesel trucks in the morning on cold days at least. By doing this it is very hard to detect problems out of a diesel once it is warm!!! I just returned from driving over four hours round trip to buy a car from this company. And they sold it while I was on my way there. I had spoken with them multiple times (they had my cell number) over the last 24 hours. They knew that I was on the road to come purchase a specific car after inspecting it. This would have been a cash deal with no financing. They sold the car while I was on my way there without even the decency to call me and tell me that there was no need to travel so far. I'm not even sure they told me the truth about the availability of the car in the first place. They may have just hoped they would sell me SOMETHING if they got me there. Bad Business. These guys go above and beyond for their customers. This was my 2nd time buying from them. It's just a big relief knowing that you can actually trust a used car salesman. Byron, Gary, and the gang make a car buying experience very enjoyable knowing that what you are getting is safe and reliable.
