When we were in the Bay Area and saw a house that was open for viewing, Greg would FaceTime with us showing us around and recorded video so we could get a closer look. One house that we normally would not have looked at ended up being one we loved. We put an offer on one house, was accepted, but found a better home while in escrow. Greg was able to pivot quickly with late-night calls to expedite an offer on a home that truly met all of our needs. We put the offer in on a Monday night and it was accepted by 11am the next day! During escrow, we were able to sign everything electronically, which made it incredibly convenient being 500 miles away. They were present during home inspections when we couldn't be, and recorded videos of the inspector sharing his findings. On the day of the final walk-through, Greg generously provided lunch for me, my mom, and sister. Greg made the entire home-buying process painless and stress-free. He always made sure we were kept up-to-date on the latest information, shared referrals for any upgrades we wanted to do, and was present at the home when we couldn't be. I owned the home with my X husband. I don't feel like she could be impartial and work with the both of us. I am a woman with a lot of business experience. I owned my own business for many many years and I loved the idea of supporting another woman. We spoke several times prior to signing the listing agreement and I though, well ok she seems nice and she lives in the area. I know who she used to work with and I know he's great so ok I wanna use her. I told her all about myself and my desires about selling the house, my hopes and my fears. I felt we were gonna be great. I have a learning disability that she was very aware of. She said she understood it and would be mindful... so I signed the seller agreement and it went DOWN HILL FAST! I found that she could not be impartial with my X husband and I. It became her way or the highway. She was rude and wouldn't even take phone calls because we weren't getting along. So she said all needed to be in email. (So I that's where my learning disability comes into play. I have dyslexia and dyscalculia meaning I don't track and process things clearly without some help.) Having to put everything into writing and trying to process any thoughts and feelings onto paper for every interaction lead to a LOT of miscommunication and misunderstanding...which lead to anger and frustration. In my opinion a realtor should have the skills to negotiate through a sale of a home and do it with a kind heart and a patient spirit. To me she lacked both. Her strategy was just to keep reducing the price of the house. She didn't seem to care about anything. I feel she did not have my best interest in mind.
