The guys @ this store are Venezuelan-Chinese and they have brought their weird business practices to Sunset Park. A friend of mine bought a pair of shoes an when he got home he noticed one was lighter than the other and was also looser. When he got back to exchange them, they refused. There were several customers @ the store so my friend--being infuriated--threatened to make a big fuss about it in front of everyone, that's how he got his money back. It seems that they buy floor samples @ very low prices and then they sell them @ not so low prices. People, do yourselves a favor shop elsewhere. read more

They carry Camper, Worishofer, Born, and some other high quality men's brands that I don't remember the names for, but my husband bought a pair of their boots and loves them. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area for irresistible deals for trendy shoes. read more

Excellent service! I ordered a pair of shoes for a wedding event that was coming up. The heels are probably the most comfy heels I own and made in Spain! Had to stick up for La Vida, don't know about the other situation in the one-star review, but I've never had a problem there. It's constantly filled with local shoppers in the know, people who live in and around Sunset Park but aren't the rhinestone cheap high heel type. It's really out of place on 5th Ave in SP but thankfully so for me. They have the best shoes in the "cute and comfortable" category, really well chosen and high quality, Born and other brands like that. They do have high heels and boots too. The interior is pretty, comfortable and welcoming, and the service is great. I bought my first Tano bag there, too! read more

I always go to this store when I need top of the line comfortable shoes and even tho I know they will not be cheap I am guaranteed they will not over charge me. I love the store environment, the people are very helpful, love their cool shipping bags and the wide variety of great shoes , most of the times I get brand I didn't ever hear from but when I go and check online they are too of the line ones, I always have a great experience shopping here, would recommend anyone to go in and satisfaction. So from my last experience I I will start saying OOOOOOMMMMMMGGGGGGG MMMYYYYYY GODDDDDDDDDD. I walked in having a very hard time walking because of the pain in my feet and looking for a solution and didn't care how much I would have to pay for shoes , if I even find any, I ended up buying a pair and THESE SHOES ARE LIFE CHANGING , I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM FOOT PAIN G FOR I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW LONG, always trying to find the perfect comfortable but nice looking shoes but never did....I give up and walk in to a store "La vida" they always have nice looking shoes ... So I'm like last place if not I'll just buy something that looks nice and get some medical top rated insoles ....So I walk in and I tell the girl helping me, hey I have a problem, my feet are always hurting and I don't know what shoes to get anymore , she stops me from talking and says "are you flat footed?" , I answered "yesssss, my feet hurt so much!" She points at her feet and says , "I always had the same problem, you should get these " (native mercury lighknit) I get them try them on and omggggg my pain went away 100% , she is my hero and I will always send anyone whom need great shoes to this store. Customer service was excellent. They don't carry wide sizes which is a bummer, but they have a good variety of quality shoes.

Havent had any problems with them which is why I'm wondering about the 1 star, most likely because that person bought a final sale pair which would make sense for "no return" policy. I was walking through 5th Avenue one day and stumbled upon this cute boutique shoe store. To my suprise there were so many styles to choose from!! They were also pretty comfortable and I'm usually very picky with my shoes. The staff left me to browse by myself but let me know they were there to help, which I personally prefer. Once I decided which shoes I wanted to try on they were very helpful and told me the positives and some negatives of each shoe. This helped with my ultimate decision although I wish I could have bought them all!! Definitely a good shoe store with brands like Ugg, Timberland, Isola, Clarks and so many new finds!! I will recommend this to all my friends if they ever stop by in Brooklyn. They also let me know they just launched their website at www.eslavidany.com. I've lived in Sunset Park for 17 years now and LaVida is the ONLY shoe store in my immediate area to get good quality shoes. Also, the only shoe store that carries Uggs for my daughter. Glad they're here. Saves me a trip to the mall. Not to mention the staff is always courteous and helpful. read more

La Vida shoe store is a diamond in the ruff!! Not only do they have the most stylish shoes but the customer service is beyond GREAT!! This shoe store literally belongs in Soho or the East village but I am grateful it is in Sunset Park. When I walk in, it has an upscale boutique look and feel without the attitude. I am always getting compliments on my shoes and instantly direct my friends to the adorable store that has graced my neighborhood for years. I have 3 children and the sneaker store next door has always been my go to for my entire family. Both stores are like "residents" of Sunset Park rather than merchants of the neighborhood! read more
