After tearing my ACL in May 2025, I went through Kaiser PT but wasn't getting the level of care I felt I needed, so I decided to seek outside treatment. Going to this clinic made a huge difference. They use manual therapy and even provide cupping if needed, which is a great added level of care. Sessions are focused and purposeful, and they pay close attention to how you're doing, adjusting treatment as needed. Christin, my PT, truly made a difference in my recovery. She's knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cares. Overall, the team here is supportive and truly cares about your progress. I'm really glad I found this place during my recovery. I went here for my first ever physical therapy session in my life. I honestly did not have any idea what to expect at a physical therapy session. But after one session at this place, I went to a different physical therapy place. in comparing different places, this place was disorganized and unsure of these good reviews.. The parking in this place is fine. It's shared with other businesses. I went in and this place felt cramped. They had so much different equipments in fairly small area. Adding to that, there were a lot of people in the facility that made it feel more cramped. I met with my physical therapist and she evaluated where I'm at with pain and movement. I was there for a total of hour and a half for my first session and I only saw the physical therapist for maybe 20 to 30 minutes. The rest of the session was doing different movements, which was done with someone else. She would just tell me how many reps to do and what to do but didn't really explain anything else. She was also watching over so many different people at the same time. So if you're here to get one on one session, this place would not be for you. They ended my session with some icing and some sort of electrical stimulation. After that, they just told me that I can go home. I was surprised that they did not ask me to pay for my co-pay on my first visit. A few weeks later, someone did leave me a message that I owe them co-pay. When I called back, they said I didn't owe anything and needed to do some more research and they will email me. I waited for at least two weeks and call them back because I haven't heard anything. That is when they finally told me I did have some co-pay to pay. I wonder what would have happened if I did not follow up since nobody in this facility cared enough. Overall, this place felt very disorganized, cramped, not very hands-on. read more

I have seen many, many physical therapists during my time both when I was active duty and as a veteran. I have never received the level of care I get from ES3. Every appointment, you meet with the PT and receive treatment. Then they monitor the exercises you do with the PT assistants so they can make on the spot changes as you need it. I feel like they take their time with me here in analyzing what's going on and making a plan to help. They have me there for more time than I would have assumed before going, which just feels like they're trying for what's best for me rather than monetizing my visits getting me in/out quickly. I have been to a lot of physical therapists in my life time. After seeing Renee, I would never go back to any of my previous therapists. Renee is not only extremely knowledgeable but she is able to distill and explain anatomy and whole body systems in a way that I, an IT professional, understand. In summary, ES3 PT is a high quality therapy clinic that I've been a patient of for 8 months, and plan to go back for my next surgery recovery. I can't think of anyone I wouldn't recommend them to. I am a 30 year-old male that has been to multiple therapy clinics after broken bones, multiple surgeries, knee pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, and more. If you're serious about your recovery, ES3 PT is the place to go to. When I think of a good clinic, I think of the following two factors: the staff and clinic space. Staff is broken down by therapists, therapy aides, and administrative staff. The clinic space is broken down by equipment, physical space, and amenities. I will first write about my experiences with the staff. First are the therapists - Dr. Renee, Dr. Chelsea, Dr. Christin, and Dr. Heather. When looking for a quality therapist, I look for a therapist that is knowledgeable, hands on, has good communication and "bedside manner", and is invested in your health. If you look at the profiles of the therapists on their website, you'll see that the therapists have many years of experience and have ample certifications (one being OCS Certified, which only about 5% of all PTs have.) I have seen and been treated by each therapist, and can say that the quality of the staff can also be seen in each visit. Each visit includes 30 minutes of manual therapy, which can include manipulation of muscles, joint mobilization, joint mobilization, cupping, slide cupping (painful but good), Graston technique, taping, and much more. If you're not an avid visitor of physical therapy like myself, you'll know that this is difficult to find in a clinic. Each visit will also include the exercises that are provided by the therapists and overseen by the therapy aides. The exercises are functional, specific, made for each visit, and not just 3 sets of 20 for each exercise. The aides and PTs also watch to make sure you are doing your exercises correctly. ES3 doesn't kick you out to try and get as much money for as little time - they will give you ample exercises and will work with you as long (or as little) as you need. I'm usually at the clinic for about 1.5 hours, sometimes up to 2 hours during my visits. This isn't the case with everyone, I had a lot of exercises and took my recovery very seriously. Lastly, one's visit has the option of finishing with ice packs, heat packs, or an e-stim machine to help with recovery. Once you leave you can't forget your homework. They give you at-home exercises and have an app where you can view your exercises, watch videos on form, or even message your therapist. Other staff include the aides and admin. The aides - Brea, Renee, Ayram (may have spelled her name wrong) are also knowledgeable, hands on, have good communication, and invested in your health as well. The admin, Jennifer or "Maca" is also worth mentioning. Last is the physical space. There is a variety of equipment for your recovery. This includes weights, kettlebells, bands, pulley machines, medicine balls, marbles (yes marbles), cardio equipment, and much more. There are ample beds for the manual therapy and certain exercises that are cleaned regularly in between uses. In general the space is extremely clean, with equipment being sanitized between uses and masks worn in compliance with regulation (visited during the mask era of covid.) They also provide towels for each use as well. What complaints do I have? A few. One - they don't have a location in Los Angeles. Two - I wish I found them earlier. Three - they get busy in the mornings from 9am-noon. However I've learned to visit them in the afternoon. Four - my insurance Cigna was not in-network at the time (I believe it may be different now.) However, they worked with me to make it affordable. Lastly and most importantly - to wrap up my review of ES3 - I want to say that they made me enjoy my time there. Therapy is often a painful and long journey - but it is something I looked forward to every week, and look forward to going back to for my next surgery recovery. read more

I am a Chiropractor and recently had knee surgery. Upon the recommendation of a couple of patients I decided to try ES3 for my post surgical rehab and I am glad I did. I was referred to Dr. Christin Ernst by a Jiu Jitsu coach of mine a couple years ago when I tore both of my ACL's and menisci, and I wouldn't change it for anything. Most people reading that line might think I am crazy because "who wouldn't want to go back and change the course of time to avoid having bilateral ACL and meniscus repair surgery?" The answer is me. Seriously... I did not only recover from both years of back-to-back surgeries, but I built a relationship with Dr. Christin Ernst and her entire office staff that I never thought to be possible. I even followed her when she changed practices to start her own with her amazing partner Renee, because that's how much I trust and rely on working with Dr. C. She is more than just a Physical Therapist, but a life coach, mental health counselor, and truly an amazing friend. Dr. Christin is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, but most importantly... motivational. If you are an athlete (or former), the best way to describe Dr. C is that she is an unforgiving coach in all of the best ways possible!! I have been a patient of Rene's for almost 10 years. I have degenerative disc disease. Rene prepared me for surgery on my back, a lumbar fusion and later a cervical fusion. Rene got me back into shape after my surgery. A good friend recommended her to me and I am so happy to have had her in my life. I have been to physical therapists before. But this was a totally new experience. Before I had very little conversation with the therapist or much encouragement. But Rene examines you and works on you. And she gives you a personalized exercise regime. Her aids were there to help set up your equipment and they made sure you were doing your exercises properly. I have worked with Renee several times after having two knee replacements and problems with my back. I am a health care provider and found Renee to be a consummate professional. She is very knowledgeable; does a complete history and thorough assessment and develops a treatment plan that is realistic and attainable. She provides hands on care while working with your musculoskeletal system and then sets up a treatment plan using the tools in the gym. Wow, I can't say enough about ES3 Physical Therapy! Starting off with Jennifer. She has to be the friendliest, most efficient receptionist I have ever dealt with. She is on top of everything and when she says she will do something she does it! Such a great first impression. Then once we arrived and met Renee we were even more impressed. My husband has a somewhat rare condition and we were referred to Renee even though she is quite a distance from our house. She was incredibly knowledgeable and got right to work explaining everything as she went. As much as we would like to continue going to her we all knew that wasn't going to be practical. She provided a treatment plan for him to do at home and then went to work finding a therapist in our area that he could go to.
