I completely tore my hamstring in early August and had surgery early September. I was referred to Longevity thru a friend and Kylie was my physical therapist. I have only positive things to say about her and this location. She definitely pushed me in the best way possible. We focused a lot on strength training and rebuilding that muscle. We slowly moved onto plyo and I left feeling confident. I was able to return to my sport not too long after. I appreciate all the time and effort they put into helping me rehab. This is a great place, with awesome employees, starting at the front desk. Everyone seems happy, welcoming, and very friendly. I've been coming to this location since March, 2026. My Dr. of Physical Therapy, is Thomas Stearns. He's excellent. And, has a Certificate in Applied Functional Science. I've asked him lots of questions, and he always has an immediate answer on why I'm doing a particular exercise and how that will affect my Sciatica. My reason for PT is Sciatica, which really had me in a lot of pain, and getting worse. My Scripps Dr. suggested Longevity. Today, most days I don't have pain due to the fact I've been given printed and video clips of what my homework is. My reason for continuing is because 1) I feel much better after a session with Thomas and 2) I think working out is boring and I know I would not be as faithful with my homework, IF I didn't have him asking me how my week went, plus he would know if I hadn't worked out, because my reps would be fewer and Thomas would know I was slacking. That keeps me on track. I strongly suggest anyone who is suffering with sciatica or many other rehab issues, Longevity is a very nice, clean, gym with many kinds of equipment. I've been working with Jimmy Vu on and off for the past 2.5 years, and he has been instrumental in helping me stay active and injury-free as I continue to push my body in my 30s. I'm shocked that I haven't review Longevity before now. It has been my preferred physical therapy spot since I moved to San Diego over a decade ago. Let me start by saying that I have a lot of physical therapy experience... A LOT. I've had 14 orthopedic surgeries, and countless sprains, strains. I have been to Longevity specifically for 2 knee surgeries, 2 shoulder surgeries, 2 back injuries, multiple calf strains, and a few other I cannot think of at the moment. Most recently, I saw Jimmy for a shoulder impingement issue. When I went in, I was unable to raise my arm to grab glasses out of the cupboard. Over the course of a few months, Jimmy was able to get me to the point where I was not only having issue with every day activities, but I have returned to my normal active lifestyle: weightlifting, distance swimming, wingsuiting (this puts a lot of strain on my shoulder). Jimmy did a great job of limiting my activities so that I could heal while allowing me to not go crazy by being overly limited. He changed my lifting form which allowed me sufficient space in my shoulder so that it stopped impinging and started healing. I cannot recommend Longevity Physical Therapy enough. Unfortunately, I know it won't be too long before I'm back for another ailment, but at least I know I have a reliable PT option. read more

Amazing staff. Jimmy was my PT for the last 3 months, directly after ACL surgery. He went above and beyond to give me quality care and make sure my sessions were always fun! He's a great people person and knows how to relate with others. He always made the most of my sessions, making sure I had optimal strength training and ensuring my legs to be shaking by the end of my exercises. Aside from this, he would also allow me to come in early at times and warm up on the bike! This clinic is well equipped and has some of the best modalities and therapeutic treatments such as Normatec, Alter-G treadmill, and a Game Ready. Jimmy and Alexa are the best! I didn't go to the gym for 2 months since I would feel a sharp shooting pain in my neck / trap area every time I worked out. I tried everything (chiropractor, medication from the doctor, and Youtube stretching videos), but nothing seemed to work. Finally my doctor recommended trying out physical therapy. I just had my knee replaced. this is my second knee and second time using longevity for my PT and rehab. I came back to longevity purly to rehab with Jimmy, there best Physical Therapist in my opinion. Jimmys approach to rehabbing my knee is a clear understanding of my pain level as well as my muscle strength and what is hampering my recovery. the pace is set by me but Jimmy knows when and how to pick the pace up for a speedy recovery. Jimmy is the best!!! Not only is he professional, knowledgeable, and amazing at what he does but i feel his intuition is spot on. I was very apprehensive about physical therapy (I have not had great results in the past.) Jimmy has helped me regain trust in my body's ability to get stronger and I feel we are making big improvements in my areas of concern (lumbar spine and hips.) He has a deliberate plan of action and when needed he is always able to come up with alternate ways to get to desired goal. I am ever thankful that I found him. I have been working with Jimmy for almost a year. I have multiple sclerosis and was born with cerebral palsy. Jimmy has been great at adjusting to my day-to-day needs, including yesterday when the facility was warmer, and my body became numb and tingly, and I told him I was nauseous. I am writing this review on behalf of my wife JoAnna. She started going to Longevity last year (2022) for issues she was experiencing with Vertigo. That is when she me Dr. Nick Van Hoorn from Longevity. From the start she enjoyed the one on one time unlike what both she and I had experience from other physical therapy facilities. Basically, the therapist showed you some exercises and you were on your own from there. Definitely NOT the process at Longevity. Nick is very professional, personable and explains everything in detail. Always asks if she has any questions or concerns. In January 2023 JoAnna had a full knee replacement done. She had discussed with Nick and asked if he would be her physical therapist after the surgery. He was glad to take this on. It has been a long process but if not for Nick, she wouldn't have made the progress that she has thus far. He challenges her and ensures that everything that she does is done safely. I have attended each session and it is amazing how strong she has become since starting. She can not say enough good things about him. I sprained and fractured my ankle in January and as my first real injury I was scared that I wouldn't be able to do my favorite things again; hiking, biking, dancing, use a step stool, etc. Since my first appointment with Alyssa, I felt safe and encouraged to get better. A little over a year ago I had multiple issues with my back when Dr. Housig recommended your establishment in Carlsbad. I could walk only short distances and even had difficulty reaching soap dispenser from the kitchen counter top. I've been treated by Casey, Rachel and Eric who worked with me twice a week. They listened to my concerns, asked questions and gradually helped me get to the point where I am today. They are truly professionals and caring people. Horrible experience with their billing department. I was referred by my doctor, so when I called to make my first appointment I asked them to run my insurance to make sure I was covered. They said it would be $150 for my first appointment (with insurance) - sounded expensive, but proceeded with the appointment. My first appointment was early/mid March, so I wasn't able to go back due to COVID. I got the statement from my insurance that said that I overpaid. When I contact Longevity, they said that I had to call their 3rd party billing company, Momentum. When I requested a refund, they said that they were rebilling my insurance and that the original request was wrong. Per Momentum, I was owed $132 credit. I called back a month later to check on the status and then they said it would be a $62 credit. Now they are saying that it's only $32. When I called my insurance, they said that they kept changing the billing codes - seems like they kept trying until they could keep the largest amount of money. It's late September and I'm still waiting for my refund. Save your time and your money and go somewhere else. read more

After eight months of twice weekly hard labor at the hands of Brett Bloom and his Merry Band of Physical Therapists and Incredible Aides, I am about to be released to continue my recovery on my own. I don't want to go! I will miss the joyful atmosphere at Longevity Physical Therapy to which each therapist contributes while working his or her patient into a frenzy of squats, lunges, punches, balances, hops, leaps, and the occasional high-five of successful accomplishment of a particularly difficult maneuver. Brett & Company have established the most positive and uplifting atmostphere imagineable while doing the thing I least like to do -- exercise for the sake of exercise. But I will continue to do it, now that I have been properly educated into completely Rethinking Physical Therapy: it isn't the exercise, it's the way of life. Andrew and the team have been such a miracle and I am so thankful for them helping me through my journey to recovery. I have had this foot injury for almost 3 years. Because this injury has went on for so long my back was affected as well. Since my injury I have seen a handful of physical therapists. The results were not very good and for the most part, I always left with not much progress. For so long I lost hope. Until I started coming to Longevity Physical Therapy and met Andrew. From the beginning, Andrew listened to what hurt me and what I was capable of doing and what I couldn't do. From there, we set a goal on what we were going to work on. In the last few months with Andrew I am able to do things that I could not even imagine that I will be able to do. Since then, I have been able to manage my back pain that occurs and do exercises that I was never even capable of doing a few months prior. What I also noticed is that Andrew was teaching me exercises that have never been shown to me by any other place! I may not be one hundred percent back to my normal self; however, I am able to do so much more and my foot tolerance for certain activity has increased. After experiencing hip pain for a month and trying many things on my own without any improvement I decided to call Longevity. I had gone to Longevity 5 years ago and had a great experience. Upon calling for an appointment the receptionist called my insurance company to see about coverage. I really appreciated this service. I worked with Joe and a couple of student interns and they were great! After one session working on my hip I felt improvement right away. I kept with the recommended exercises and haven't had issue again. They also helped me with a should strain, diagnosing my issue and recommending exercises to strengthen my shoulder. I have a tendency to get hurt and they have helped me to successfully recover from 2 ACL surgeries, achy shoulders etc etc. My latest Physical Therapist is Joe, but it has not matter whether it was him, previous therapist, interns, PTs in the making, everyone is great, everyone takes the time to know you and help you with whatever your problem maybe.
