From the first day we started working with Aumir and Escape Entertainment, we knew the music at our events was going to be exactly what we wanted. What we did not know was how kind, professional, and dedicated Aumir would be! Music was the most important part of the wedding for me and so finding a DJ that got excited about music and was willing to work with my eclectic taste was very important to me. Aumir was just that. We had multiple meetings in which he came over to our home for 2-3 hours to go through different playlists, "must plays", "do not plays", etc. Since Aumir is experienced at what he does, he was able to really help us create an itinerary as well. After every conversation and meeting with Aumir, I not only got more excited about the music, but I just felt more calm about the entire wedding planning process because he was able to give us very useful advice and help us organize things. As expected, the music was absolutely fire! My family could not stop talking about the Baraat and my friends couldn't stop talking about the Reception. Aumir totally catered to what we wanted to hear and his mixes and transitions had people coming up to us all night telling us how great the DJ was. Even our other vendors, including coordinators, told us how much they loved working with Aumir! We were fortunate enough to have Aumir, Saagar and Naveen for our wedding in Phoenix. It was absolutely amazing! We had most of our family and friends from NYC/LA who came in with high expectations from other weddings. Every guest I talked to said that this was some of the best music they had ever heard at an Indian event. Starting from the beginning, Aumir played an incredibly active role in helping carve out the vision for all of our events. He was very detail oriented and worked with all of our vendors. This was especially challenge since he was coming from out of town, but he made the process very seamless. My wife and I are a mix of Gujarati, North Indian and Tamil. Needless to say, getting everyone excited about the music was a tough task. Aumir, Saagar and Naveen, did an amazing job for both days. The mixed in garba, bhangra, bollywood and western music without missing a beat. Their music and lighting vision helped create distinct themes for our Sangeet, Wedding/Baraat and the reception. Saagar was an incredible talent. His dhol skills are second to none. He was always out on the dance floor energizing the crowd. His ability to blend in the with the music without being too overbearing is just amazing. He even helped out at the last minute in a pinch for our vidhi. Lastly, during the reception, they did an amazing job at dinner with Saagar fusing together his tabla with the DJ music. We had Aumir DJ our sangeet and reception nights three weeks ago and we are still having guests rave about him! We met with him in person several months out and he took the time to walk us through all the details, offered helpful suggestions, and was very considerate and willing to work with our vision. He also created a personalized mix for us with some songs we selected to hear his style and we knew he would deliver based on this initial interaction. Not only did he deliver but he went beyond our expectations - he kept the dance floor crowded both nights with the perfect fusion of Bollywood and Western songs (about a third of our guests were non- South Asian and everyone was on the dance floor at the same time). Aumir was reading and reacting to our guests and ourselves and he we can't express how happy we are that we chose him to DJ our wedding weekend. We also hired Saagar, a tabla player recommended by him, for the sangeet and they were so in sync it was amazing - all the guests absolutely loved them. He even complemented the English songs blending everything in perfect harmony. Of all our vendors, these guys were definitely worth every penny. We hired DJ Aumir to be our reception DJ on Saturday, June 30th, 2018. He was simply excellent! He met with us a few times before the wedding so he could understand the kind of music we wanted played throughout the event. We were also able to run through the entire timeline with him. The first important thing for us to make sure that we actually get along well, which we did. He is also very personable and we made great conversation with him, felt like we got along and he understood what we were looking for very well. We were looking for a DJ that could play, English, Hindi, Spanish and some middle-eastern music. DJ Aumir fit that bill as he was able to execute on all those requirements. On the day of the reception, he had an amazing set up, even better than we had expected. The lights were mounted high and the speakers were huge and very effective. He did such an amazing job, especially when the dance floor opened up, that he was able to keep our guests, young and old, on the dance floor till the end of the night. We had a TON of people (including vendors) tell us that our DJ was amazing! We danced our feet off, until we were shut the place down! We were looking for a DJ to keep our guests dancing all night long and couldn't have picked a better DJ than DJ Aumir. read more

We had DJ Aumir for two events, our mehendi and for our wedding reception! Honestly it was one of the best decisions we made! Normally whenever I went to desi weddings, I wouldn't see many people on the dance floor besides immediate family and close relatives. That was definitely not the case and both our families do not dance at all! To my surprise, EVERYONE was on the dance floor having the time of their lives on both days! He played a great mix of desi and hip hop/pop/etc! Aumir knew how to keep the tempo going and he totally killed it! We had the best time and we honestly got so many compliments about the DJ! Even the entrances were done so flawlessly! The transitions between songs were seamless! If he received odd song requests that didn't go with the vibe, he would ask us if we wanted to play it anyways and we appreciated that! When we were trying to figure out a budget of the wedding, we didn't know quite how much a DJ costs. It is expensive, but I can say it's 100% worth every penny! I have used the Beat Guru for a number of years for a variety of functions ranging from weddings, Dholkis, birthday parties etc. and most recently I used him for my sons Bismillah party, which he delivered on yet again! He was very professional throughout the whole process listening to what we would like, what the tone should be, when he should play what for that special moment. He always arrives early to ensure he has lots of time to set up his awesome set (which differs based on the tone of the party) and to trouble shoot any issues so you have a flawless event. The most impressive skill I like with The Beat Guru is his ability to mix between Indian and American music. He does it so flawlessly and the tunes are old and new (based on your preference) and his dance floor is always jam packed! My last function had a very mixed crowd of Indian and American guests and everyone loved the music. Can't wait to see the see videos of the dance-off:) Lastly, during our last event, our MC was sick so The Beat Guru stepped in and made all the -announcements for us- it was a total value add!!! read more

I had the pleasure of working with Escape Entertainment for my brother's wedding festivities. They were awesome! Since the moment I booked them for the mehndi, shaadi and valima they were nothing but professional and courteous. They were incredibly organized and on time to every single event. Any questions I had were promptly answered by Aumir. I received many compliments about the DJs, tabla and dhol player from the guests who thought they were amazing. I had also hired Escape Entertainment to provide the room lighting for the valima reception and it was beautiful! It was money well spent because it made the hall and decorations look 10 times better. The cool thing about the lighting was that the colors of the lights were able to be changed throughout the night by one control. We had a different color theme for the entrance, dinner and dancing. I also received a lot of compliments on the lighting. It was a pleasure to work with Escape Entertainment. I have already hired them for all of my other family events. One word- WOW! DJ Aumir you outdid yourself! From the beginning Aumir was easy to communicate with, understood our vibe we wanted for our wedding, and was very professional the entire process. From picking songs, to editing first dances, to working on a timeline to make sure our reception was flawless- Aumir nailed it! Aumir did an oustanding job of keeping us on schedule during our reception, communicating with us if anything was needed, and most importantly kept the party going! I am Mexican and my husband is Ukrainian, so to keep such a diverse crowd dancing all night is not an easy task. Besides that, the venue would have lacked that touch of elegance and sophistication without their expertise in the lighting.
