Tony was an absolute dream to work with from the minute I inquired about pricing. He responded almost immediately with package prices, and answer any odd questions I had at the start of wedding planning. The booking process was simple and all done via computer. Once we made our first deposit, Tony sent us login info for our online client data base, which we were able to make our "must play, maybe play, and absolutely do not play" playlists. I LOVED that we were able to organize the music in this way, as I was much more at ease for what the evening would look like. For the entire year of our engagement, Tony responded to all emails within an instant. For my father-daughter dance, I had arranged it with my dad that he was to choose a song, and it would be a surprise to me up until the minute it played at our reception. Tony and my dad corresponded back and forth without me knowing, and this was pulled off without any issues! The day of our reception, which was the first time I was even meeting Tony, he put me at immediate ease. He came up to my fiance and I, introduced himself, and quickly ran through how the evening would go. I was worried about the amount of talking via DJ would be taking place (I HATE going to weddings and the DJ acts more like an emcee the entire night, rather than a DJ) but Tony was PERFECT. He checked in with us throughout the night and everything went as planned. Another thing I loved about this company was the way in which songs transitioned into each other. There was not a second where one song would end and silence took place. Each song went straight into the next. Our dance floor was full ALL NIGHT LONG! We also used Extreme Sounds for our reception uplighting. I had been emailing with Tony up until days before our wedding trying to nail down the color I was going for. Tony is EXTREMELY dishonest and has horrible communication. For example, Tony said he is on the vendor list for Trump Tower, Signature 95th, and Lasalle library. I checked all of their websites and/or called for references, and they each never heard of Tony or his company. Tony will also ignore you for days/weeks, even after multiple messages. I highly recommend avoiding this company that is deceptive, lies, and does not respond. RE: Business Owner's Reply- I do not know how you are surprised after ignoring me multiple times when I was ready to move forward with reviewing a contract. You ignored me over 2 weeks and we had a professional relationship. You also gave me 3 Wedding Venues that you said you are "preferred vendor" for, without me asking. I checked all 3 of them and you clearly lied to me. Also, Tony, you response to my review says "some of our reviews tells you that our customers were referred by their venues". The Extreme Sounds Entertainment & Lightning team was fantastic. Tony & his team were very responsive & helpful leading up to our event. Tony is very flexible as well. We originally were scheduled to have our wedding in May of 2021, however, had to postpone due to covid. Tony moved our wedding back to 2022 without any issues or pushback As for our wedding day: Marcia (emcee), DJ Max 10, and the photo booth were great. I would highly recommend them! I'm giving three stars after using Extreme Sounds for our wedding, but I wish I could give 2.5. The positives do not outweigh the negatives, but they are worth noting: firstly, the photo booth service and attendant were both excellent. Secondly, though his service was awful, DJ Jorge was very nice. No issues at all with his personality or attitude, which is a very small silver lining in an otherwise upsetting experience. Pre-wedding planning seemed okay, though many of the songs we wanted (specifically newer pop songs) were not in their database. Not surprisingly, even after adding them to the special requests section, they were not played. More on that later. The ceremony and dinner went fine, but the issues began with the reception. I specifically asked Tony, the proprietor, what sort of style to expect; namely, will the songs be mixed like a club or will songs just be played one after the other. I was told we'd get a club-style mix, but instead, DJ Jorge played each song in its entirety, and on at least two occasions during the dancing there was actual dead air between the first song and the next. Further, our photographer basically had to coach DJ Jorge through the evening's events. He wasn't reading the room, seeing that there were lulls in conversation or making any suggestions to get people going. Our photographer had to ask him speed up the timeline of our speeches to fill the space while people waited on dinner (it arrived a few minutes late -- not the DJ's fault). After dinner, he kicked off the dancing with line dances (which is great), but then kept playing older pop songs that were not on our playlist, which drove guests off the dance floor. Finally, around 10 pm, I had to ask him specifically when he was going to start playing the songs my husband and I had requested. For the next few songs, he played off the list but then slipped right back into songs we had not requested and did not fit the Top 40/current pop genre we'd asked for. Eventually, one of our guests went to repeatedly ask for a few newer songs -- many of which, like Lizzo, had been on my list to begin with -- and had to show DJ Jorge the specific songs on her phone. In order of importance for wedding day features, music was my #1. I even organized a meeting with DJ Jorge prior to our event and handed off printed lists of my requests. I felt confident in their abilities going into the event, but greatly regret trusting Extreme Sounds with my wedding music. The style was awkward, the list I spent so much time on was not used, the music played seemed like a pre-loaded generic list and almost none of our guests ended up on the dance floor. Dancing is my favorite part of a wedding, and unfortunately I will remember my own wedding with an empty dance floor. We can't get that day back or do it over. Again, the company's team all had great attitudes, but that does not make up for the flat, disappointing evening that our DJ provided for our greatly anticipated reception. read more

Tony and Emily were absolutely amazing organizing the entertainment for our wedding. The packages are great and they make everything easy for you. From the booking process to event planning, they take great care in assisting the customer. They are very professional and respectful. They have a great online system where you can plan your entire event timeline and make many music selections from a big library they already have. They are very responsive with any questions you may have leading towards your event. They truly care about making your event unique to your needs and requests. They made everything stress free. He came early to ensure everything was set up perfectly. He kept everyone on track with the timeline even when we were not ready or very organized about it. I am Indian and we have hard names to pronounce. He absolutely nailed it all without skipping a beat. He went along with some of our crazy requests. He took charge of things that I had not planned for. Everyone told me that the Dj was awesome and they were having a blast the whole time. I, the bride, would feel 100% comfortable recommending Extreme Sounds Entertainment & Lighting to anybody! We used them for their DJ services as well as their photo booth. I'll start with the DJ services: Tony was our DJ. We had a couple meetings pre-wedding where I handed over our wishes for the day, our must-have songs, and our timeline of events. Before getting married, I never realized that the DJ was essentially the master of the ceremony and really was in charge of the timeline for the evening. Everything went flawlessly and stayed on schedule. I didn't have to worry about a thing. On top of everything running smoothly, the music was AWESOME! I personally had a blast and many of my guests told me that we had the best DJ they'd seen at a wedding - so that was a nice thing to hear! Now the photo booth: Emily was so helpful in the weeks leading up to our wedding. She designed the cutest template for our photo strip print outs and organized to have 90's boy bands playing in the photo booth - so fun! The props were awesome and the guests had such a riot taking all their photos. I think my 12 year old cousin went in the booth about 20 times. Overall, Tony & Emily were so helpful and easy to work with. Many people planning a wedding are planning one for the first time, and they made it a much easier process. I remember them asking in our first meeting "Do you plan to cut the cake before or after dinner?" and we kind of laughed like "Who cares?" My now husband and I hired Emily and Tony for our wedding. We used their DJ and photo booth services. Overall, they were great. We met them in person, and they really impressed us. We were also worried about budget, but Emily was great as far as working with us on that. We made a playlist on Spotify (they also have a website, but it was just easier for us to use Spotify) and sent it to Tony, who incorporated it into the music he played at the reception. He definitely kept the party going. Multiple guests commented on how many people were dancing, and I couldn't believe that even towards the end of the night some of the older guests were still there, having a great time on the dance floor! Also, the photo booth was really fun. We had a special image and font we wanted to use on the photo booth strips, and Emily did a great job incorporating it. The props they brought were also a lot of fun, and Emily did a great job making sure everyone signed our book and put the second copy of the picture in the book. The reason I took a star off is that there were a few small issues prior to the wedding. Sometimes it would take a few days to get responses to emails, and there was a small issue with their insurance and the venue we had chosen. In the end, everything worked out well, it just caused a little added stress towards the end of the planning process. He managed to handle my very difficult family who constantly kept wanting to request music since it was a Mexican/Italian wedding. Even still he kept everyone dancing and was always so courteous and kind. He made sure the time line was followed and my music requests were played. The photo booth was a big hit and in retrospect the only thing I would have changed was -extending the photobooth time. Tony was our Dj for our wedding this last Saturday he killed it we had so many complements on how well he mixed Spanish and English music (we requested a mixture of both English and Spanish). Thing that I liked the most is that every song we asked him to play was played but not in a row he mixed it up between his own choices which blended very well with our choices and our own picks. His set was great as well he had two towers that were lit up blue and the front of his Dj booth was lit up blue as well it was really out of this world. We were very happy with extreme sound and lighting. The photo booth is also a must they set it up with plenty of props and as many picture strips as your guests can take. We are so pleased with the job Extreme Sounds Entertainment did at our wedding reception. We were not the most organized couple & didn't do the best job communicating the order of events for our reception before which might have caused problems with some DJs. Tony was able to react to our last minute changes in such a way none of our guests even knew anything was changed. He is a professional DJ in the true sense of the word, charming, entertaining able to improvise but not too showy that he takes up too much attention. Tony & Emily did a great job keeping the night's activities moving according to our timeline. I was particularly impressed when late in the evening we requested two old love songs from the 70s & Tony & Emily were able to find these oldies in their music library & play them for us. This really made some of our older guests happy to get out on the dance floor. When I walked into the room I was pleased with the DJ station set up. It's not something I had cared about but I was pleasantly surprised to see sleek, classy looking panels around the DJ table which really looked sharp. I was also pleasantly surprised to see some of the photos Emily snapped during the reception. My favorite picture of our first dance is the one that she snapped for us! So many of our guests commented on how nice & spacious our photo booth was. It was very modern & easy to use. The array of props they had was expansive. Most importantly was the level of courtesy, professionalism, & patience Tony & Emily displayed during the entire wedding planning process. They were so incredibly accommodative, helpful, & knowledgeable. At one point early on in our planning there was a logistical mix up that could have been a problem. Extreme Sounds completely took care of the dilemma to my complete satisfaction even though it was more difficult for them. They truly put us, the customer, first. I contracted Emily and Tony and Extreme Sounds for my daughters 18th Catillion. Unfortunately I went into the contract knowing that Emily and Tony would be having a baby on or around my daughters event date and the chances of having them DJ were slim, BUT I trusted that they would find an awesome replacement and everything would go off without a hitch. NO SO... I ended up getting DJ Noe, we meet 1 or 2 days before the event to go over some very small details I absolutely had to have. I gave him my MUST play songs (about 10 or so) only 3 of them were played that night. We also had 2 songs that my daughter had prepared a dance to. Very specifically we asked him to cut the song off at a certain time and he completely forgot to do so. My daughter and her dance partner had to improvise even though several people including myself were signaling him to cut the song off. The icing on the cake was when I asked for a specific song on my list to finally be played he said "I need a min to download it" WHAT! you have had my list for over 48 hours and just now he's downloading. The mixing from one song to another was bad, it didn't flow it just ended and paused and began with another song. Since then I have emailed my rate of satisfaction to Tony & Emily, with no reply or apology, which is why I had to YELP this issue. I am upset not only because I put my heart and soul into planning a very special event for my daughter, and when you pay someone to do there job and it doesn't happen at the very least they should acknowledge it. read more

We did our research on many different DJ's, and one DJ really stood out in particular to us which happen to be Extreme Sound Entertainment. They had really great reviews. We set up our first consultation with them via facebook. They were really fast at getting back to us. Extreme Sound Entertainment was the only company that we met with. Upon our first meeting with them they showed us all the different types of packages they offered. We went with the 10 up lights photo booth and 6 hours of music and we had them play music for our ceremony, They set up everything for us all we had to do is fill in the forms and submit it. It was that easy. We decided to choose Tony as our Dj and Emily for the photo booth. That took so much relief off of us. Throughout the year we had been in contact with Tony and Emily via email. Whenever we had questions they did everything they could to help us and make our special day that much more special. We emailed them daily and weekly. The days leading up to the wedding we got in touch with them to finalize everything. It couldn't have gone anymore perfect. The day of the wedding Tony got there early and set up and make sure everything was perfect. Throughout the evening he came up to us and made sure everything was going perfect. He helped us out with our receiving line to make sure everyone understood the order of how they were coming in the room. He went above and beyond what any DJ would do. We got so many compliments on the music and the order on how it was being played. The photo booth was so much fun for us and our guests. The props for the photo booth were great. All our guests had fun putting them on and stepping in the photo booth. I thought what was pretty neat about this photo booth that they gave 2 copies of the pictures and you can record your own video. They stood all the way to the end of the reception.
