We used Extreme Sounds Entertainment for our wedding this past Saturday and could not be more happy with how the evening went! When wedding planning, the reception music was a top priority as we wanted to make sure our guests were dancing and having fun! We decided to go with Extreme Sounds after they worked a friend's wedding. Working with Tony and Emily throughout the planning process was extremely pleasant; they were flexible as far as times to meet, responsive to emails/calls, and reasonably priced. We filled out the online planning forms and Tony then contacted us the week of the wedding to clarify several things and to ensure he knew what we wanted. He was very thorough and was happy to work with us to make sure the night went exactly as we wanted. The night of the wedding, Tony was also very flexible and made sure everything went as smooth as possible (even though we were slightly late to the reception and had to adjust the itinerary...oops!). The dance floor was packed as soon as it was opened, which is exactly what we wanted! The music was great and it was clear that Tony understood the crowd and carefully selected the playlist to make sure our guests had fun (while also respecting the requests we had put in previously). Everyone had an absolute blast on the dance floor, and that is definitely thanks to Tony and Extreme Sounds! I should also mention that we used them for up-lighting. Tony had asked us specifically what colors/position we wanted the lighting in but we just told him to play around with it when he arrived and I am SO glad we did. He made the room look GREAT! He clearly has a good eye when it comes to room aesthetics. The DJ booth itself also looked really nice and added to the whole ambiance. I would also like to add that, as far as I know, Tony did not have to contact me or anyone else to ask questions on the day of--he arrived on time and was ready to go. Absolutely perfect work, this group went above and beyond customer service. The highlight of this group is that they are 100% on top of their game, both understanding music and being professional. Finding a DJ was the part my husband and I dreaded the most for wedding planning, because we both were completely out of our comfort zone. We were both worried we would pick the wrong type of music and the dance floor would be dead. Neither of us wanted that failure over our heads, lol, so finding a DJ got pushed back to the last of last things to do. Through the hotel, we got a reference for Extreme Sounds Entertainment & Lighting, and we were so relieved when we started correspondences. Emily was prompt, polite, and patient with us. We got our package picked out, contract signed, and started work! One great thing about Extreme Sounds Entertainment is their online planning website. You can make payments, along with plan your wedding songs through their site. This was perfect for us, having to plan a wedding from the other side of the world. Once we got back to the states, Emily set up a meeting for us (she even worked with our time limitations, so nice!), and we met with Tony, the owner. Tony and Emily were so patient with us, and helped us step by step (even the stuff we should of had prepared before hand). We are so grateful understanding and helpful in our lacking area. After the meeting he told us our DJ would call us the next day to touch base, which he did, and we were all set for the big day. Our DJ the day of was Michael, and his service was top-notch. He made sure to check with name pronunciations, timings, everything. He would always give us a heads up before we needed to do anything (cake cutting, first dance, bouquet/garter toss), which is immensely appreciated. TONY AND EMILY did such a great job!!! My wedding was January 12, 2014 at Victoria Banquets Rosemont (6600 Mannheim Rd. Rosemont, IL). Tony and his wife are an excellent team because they responded to emails and phone calls promptly. The day of the wedding they set up early at the venue and double checked the schedule with me which was great. They are such nice people and are very professional at what they do!! I was very satisfied with their service and my guests were too!!! They provided for me the following services: -UPLIGHTING (purple uplighting on the walls of my reception venue and behind my head table) The Uplighting looked spectacular and really made my centerpieces pop out and sparkle!! I highly recommend their uplighting service. -CEREMONY MUSIC ( I made a list of songs I wanted played... i.e. wedding party entrance song, Bride entrance song, Unity Candle Song, Lasso song, and exit song). Tony and Emily were prompt to respond my emails and calls!! IF they didn't have a song in their library..they got it for me!! :D -DJ playing music at the Reception (GOOD MUSIC ALL NIGHT LONG!!! IT was such a good mix..latin music, contemporary songs, and smooth transitions to country music and slow songs!! A perfect mix for all my guests!! Their set up was a cool purple (you can change the color) DJ stand and speakers. My guests and I had such a great time and there was people always dancing on the dance floor no matter what! My wedding was September 13, 2013 and I chose Extreme Sounds Entertainment & Lighting after talking with Tony and Emily at the NIU Wedding Expo. Tony and Emily were both very nice and informative and not pushy like a lot of the other vendors that were there. Tony did a wonderful job at our wedding reading the dance floor and playing a good variety of music from our song list and Emily was always available through phone/email/text to answer any of my questions! Tony and Emily met my husband and I at a Panera restaurant to talk about all the different packages we could choose, we ended up making our own package which was very simple. Last minute we ended up needing additional up-lights which Emily made sure to accommodate! Extreme Sound offers a very simple and organized song selection and reception event timeline online! You could type in the song and it would pull the song up in iTunes for you to preview, it was wonderful! The program also gave suggested songs for first dance, garter toss, bouquet toss, father/daughter, etc. which was also very helpful. This option is the cherry on top of the ice cream! I would highly recommend Extreme Sound to anyone! Not only did they go above and beyond what was expected of them but they did it at a very fair price. Emily and Tony were absolutely amazing before, during, and after the wedding! They were constantly in touch before the event to see if I had any questions and the resources they provided were awesome. During the wedding Tony kept checking in with me to let me know what event would come next and to ask if that was ok or if I needed more time. The DJs expertise and experience made the wedding reception go so smoothly and got everyone on the dance floor and kept them there! He did an excellent job of reading the crowd and kept playing songs that all of my guests loved, even though it might not have been on my playlist. We also decided to add in a "dollar dance" last minute and it was no problem at all! He knew which songs went best with that dance and it turned out great. The photo booth was a hit as well! There was an attendant by the booth all night that made sure everything went smoothly, and it did. There was an abundance of cool props, the photo booth looked awesome itself, and we were able to add some of our own touches with the welcome screen and optional music. I would definitely recommend Extreme Sounds Entertainment because of their affordability, professionalism, and the quality of service that they provided. After looking into many places for a DJ and photo booth, considering all of the different options and companies, I couldn't have picked anyone better for our special day! read more

Let's go ahead and start this review out correctly. Extreme Sounds Entertainment is fantastic! We had DJ Tony keeping the tunes going all night long. He did a great job! He took our recommended Songs and build off that to keep the rest of the songs in our preferred music taste. He also did a Wonderful job at making recommendations to adjust the timeline to best keep the party going. We found this nice because as this is the only wedding we have ever planned and is the only one we Plan on planning, it was nice to have someone with the expertise on wedding planning there to make Everything go as smoothly as possible. We also had their photo booth in our package. The photo Booth was awesome and a great time for everybody. We were super grateful for Emily who was Managing the photo both. She was very accommodating to the little one having to adjust the camera Each time they wanted a photo, as well as with my sister that has a slight disability and uses a Wheelchair to get around. She made the wheelchair and the 6 of us all fit in the photo booth. She also had her patience tested with a trying little girl. However, she remained diligent, polite, and Accommodating the entire night! We have been to a few weddings and seen a few other DJ companies, And hands down we would recommend this company! Extreme Sounds Entertainment and Lighting provided our DJ services, Photo Booth, and uplighting at our reception. The DJ, Tony, also did our ceremony music. We could not have asked for a better experience with Tony and Emily!!! Communication beforehand was prompt and professional. We had several changes along the way, and they were very accommodating and quick to give us options! Setting up on the day of went very smoothly! They worked alongside a live guitar player, with no problem, for the ceremony music! The Photo Booth was a HUGE hit and our guests loved it! The guests got to take their copies and we get all of the Photo Booth picture on a flash drive, which we are very excited about! The uplighting looked awesome and Emily was very attentive to it for the rest of the evening if lights were not shining exactly how she had set up. Tony was an AWESOME DJ! We made lists ahead of time of music we wanted and a timeline of how we wanted the reception to go. He kept things running smoothly and played all the music we wanted, and all of his choices were great too! We cannot stop talking about how nobody left the dance floor all night. Our dance floor was packed for every single song, and I think a lot of that has to do with Tony! Emily & Tony were great to work with. They were very accommodating to our needs from the very first meeting with them, and through our wedding night. Everyone--from the older folks to the young kids--danced!! They added slow jams/songs at perfect times throughout the night, and everyone loved it! :) The lighting worked wonderful and look amazing in our pictures. Also, they provided an MC for us, (Alan) and he was awesome too! We talked to him only a couple days before the wedding over the phone, but he was very intuitive and used a lot of his experience to talk us through our timeline. He made suggestions that worked out amazingly. I totally recommend this DJ company! VERY minor suggestions: 1. The online song list choices was a little hard to keep track of since music could not be categorized by event type. I would change the categories to "cocktail", "reception", & "do not play" list, instead of "play", "maybe play", and "do not play" 2. If I could go back, I would only select 20-30 songs for the dancing/reception portion to give Tony a better idea of music we definitely wanted him to play. At moments, some of the songs could have been transitioned quicker...but really, very minor comment from some guests, but overall everyone had a great time and enjoyed the DJ. Everything about Extreme Sounds Entertainment was amazing. Finding a DJ was one of the most overwhelming aspects of wedding planning for me. We found Extreme Sounds Entertainment online by reading their great reviews they have online and I knew they were the ones for us as soon as we contacted them. We were matched with One of their DJs and I really believe there could not have been a better way. Our DJ was so excited for working with us and about our wedding and it was so obvious he wanted us to have the best day ever. Before the wedding, he would reach out to see how things were going and if there was anything he could do to help. He was some how able to work in my music taste and my husbands, even though they are pretty different, and it made the whole night feel like us. Our DJ follow or timeline and touch base with us during the reception to make sure everything was on time. Our DJ read the crowd perfectly and it really showed how much of experience they have doing weddings. The dance floor was packed the entire night. Even a a few months after our wedding, we are getting compliments from people of all ages on how great our DJ and the music was. Tony did an amazing job at our outdoor wedding in July. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and had him say things in both languages, which worked out very well. We loved being able to make a "must play" playlist ahead of time. Tony was able to get a few songs that weren't already in his library, including our first dance song. He did a good job sticking to our requests and throwing in some other songs based on the crowd. The guests loved the music- there was something for everyone and the night flowed perfectly from fun classics to modern hits to 90s throwbacks. Tony did a *perfect* job of reading the crowd and playing blocks of similar music depending on which group was ready to dance (e.g. top 40 for the young adult crowd, classic Mexican banda music for the relatives, etc.) Emily ran our photo booth, which the guests loved as well. Very quickly after the wedding we received a digital copy of all the photobooth photos and videos. Lots of our guests still comment about how great the DJ was! Thank you Tony and Emily! read more

If possible, I would give Extreme Sounds Entertainment 6 stars. Tony and Emily did a great job at our wedding. They are very professional. They came early to set up the sound equipment. They are very easy to work with. We had a Chinese speaking MC, but Tony had no problem to cooperate with him. In addition, each time we contacted them, they contacted us back in a short period of time. We had an outdoor ceremony. I was a little nervous about if we would have some problems with the speaker or mic. However, it turned out everything was perfect. He played what we requested him to play. Of course, it worked out perfectly the reception and the dance floor =) We also had their photo booth service. The outlook of the photo booth are very decent, and they offered different variety of props. Our guests had a lot of fun. We highly recommend Extreme Sounds Entertainment. And we thank Tony and Emily for making our wedding fantastic! read more

Tony & Emily Espana were more than what I could have ever asked for. They were there very early to set up and make sure they were prepared to start on time, they answered all my questions in a timely manner. (which was a huge plus since I was planning a wedding from a different state) They were both so friendly and accommodating, especially when me (the bride) got sick and the outline/timeline for the reception wasn't going to work as planned they just went with the flow and I'm so grateful for that. I ended up only giving them the important songs to play and the rest of the songs were still GREAT. EVERYONE said what a nice time they had, even the older couples were out on the dance floor having a great time. They also did the songs for my ceremony and everything went very smoothly. Tony was our Dj for our wedding this last Saturday he killed it we had so many complements on how well he mixed Spanish and English music (we requested a mixture of both English and Spanish). Thing that I liked the most is that every song we asked him to play was played but not in a row he mixed it up between his own choices which blended very well with our choices and our own picks. His set was great as well he had two towers that were lit up blue and the front of his Dj booth was lit up blue as well it was really out of this world. We were very happy with extreme sound and lighting. The photo booth is also a must they set it up with plenty of props and as many picture strips as your guests can take. I definitely would recommend tony and would most definitely use him again. read more

Tony was the real MVP at our wedding reception. He is easy to work with and very professional. The dance floor was never empty and our guests has so much fun dancing all night. Tony & Emily are great, he kept the crowd dancing all night at our wedding. We had a lot of different music from Frank Sinatra, Don Omar, to Queen. He was able to play it all and any songs he did not have he was more than happy to get it. The lights were awesome for the Head table and back drop. Tony made sure everything followed our detailed timeline. They will be the first person I call when I have another event. I would recommend Extreme Sounds Entertainment & Lighting to all of my family and friends (which we did and they used him for their wedding as well).One more thing, Our friends and us had our wedding outside the Chicago area. Extreme Sounds Entertainment & Lighting are some of the best DJ's I've worked with. Being a wedding photographer, I work with a lot of DJ companies and I am not exaggerating when I say that ESEL knows what they're doing. Their music choice, lighting setup, transition from song to song... it was all some of the best that I've seen. One of my biggest pet peeves as a wedding photographer when it comes to DJs is when there is silence between songs. That was NOT the case with ESEL... they kept the party going with smooth and fun transitions between all the songs. DJ Ralph was professional leading up to the wedding and during. He performed his duties extremely well. The ceremony went off without a hitch, all of the announcements were made well and at the right time. He worked with our coordinator to ensure that the reception goes smoothly. DJ Ralph read the crowd and kept everyone on their feet the entire night. We had a fantastic time! DJ Ralph and his wife even helped out with setting up some decor. They did a great job and are very grateful to them for helping make our wedding day special and unforgettable. Our guests enjoyed the music so well they repeatedly asked where we found this DJ.
