Amazing! The Escape Room Brunswick did the impossible! They ensured an escape room that challenged and engaged two 13 year olds and their parents. We had so much fun the kids wanted to stay and do another room. Booking was easy and communication was perfect. The space was clean and inviting (I've become a bit more germ sensitive since COVID and had no issues). A perfect place to make good memories! WOW how much fun can you have during a pandemic?? Grab a few friends and have a real blast puzzling out clues and (in our case) being jump-scared almost to death! A couple of our (adult) kids and their friends and my husband and I were looking for something different to do while the kids were visiting for the holiday. Most of us in the group had never done an escape room before and it sounded like it was just what we were looking for. I didn't know what to expect, but it was really easy to make arrangements with Roland, who was very accessible and helpful, flexible and easy-going. We were greeted by two attendants who explained the process and gave us some suggestions. It was nice that they were watching over us and offering clues when we seemed to be stuck - but they usually asked first so didn't give us any unwanted spoilers! We did the "Cabin" room, and there were some clues that gave us some trouble, but most of them weren't a problem for the group of us to figure out. Beware of a few jump-scare moments, that if you have kids with you may be a bit intense. This was GREAT fun for our somewhat diverse group, and we were each able to use our individual skills to contribute to the experience. Highly recommended! read more

Never done a review before without actually visiting the business but I'm hoping this gets to those who can consider this. I'm considered an expert on escape rooms. I travel the country and do them all over with a success rate of 98%. I don't always have a group to go with but I'm pretty good at joining in and making friends with others. When I do have a group, it's usually 2-3, all of whom aren't dripping in cash. My point being, it's a huge turn off when I go to book a room and the only way I can is it I personally buy admission for 3-4 people upfront. I don't have the ability to do that and I feel you're missing out on business from smaller parties of experienced folks. read more

This place was GREAT! We took a curious 9year old boy here for his birthday and we all loved it. The staff(Court) was so friendly and helpful. Clues are given when they see you struggling but they are clues that still make you think. The room was spacious and you didn't feel uncomfortable even with 8 of us in there. They sent us a few photos a couple days later to keep. It exceeded my expectations! We highly recommend! read more

This is my very escape room. I had no idea what to expect. It was easy to book and pay online. There was just a small group of us. We were greeted by a friendly host who showed us all around and setup the story. It takes place in a cabin, as the name of the room suggests. There are cameras that allow for sight and sound to the operator of the room, who types responses on the monitor whenever you hear the door bell. The entrance door doesn't lock, just in case you need to make an escape to the restroom, as well as for safety. You must lock your cellphones and anything you wish into one of the provided locker with a key on a bracelet. It would have been helpful to keep my phone to do some of the extensive math. The room was setup nicely and had lots of different clues and lots of different locks to get thru. There seemed to be a lack of order tho. It seemed confusing as to what things were important and what wasn't. If it was not for the helpful prompter, I doubt we would have made it out in time. We were provided a lot of clues, especially if we were on the right track but not quite there. This was probably necessary as it was our first time. Such a super fun time! Went with co-workers who are friends, and Shelley was our game host. She was absolutely lovely! She was clear on instructions, so friendly, and such a helpful guide when we needed the occasional hint. We played the zombie room and were able to escape with time to spare. It wasn't insanely hard but hard enough to definitely challenge us. It also truly did help our group get closer and get to know each other better. This was the second escape room I've been to (the other was in NYC) & we really enjoyed it! We did the room called The Cabin. The room itself had many hands-on aspects and the pace was set up well. The clues were what I'd say was medium to medium-hard level but the computer prompter clues were helpful! The only improvements I would recommend would be to polish the computer promoter - maybe have some pre-written messages or have them typed out before you are on the screen. Watching the cursor type (& correct misspellings/errors) was distracting and I felt like it was robbing us of time. The first Escape Room I went to did a good job of having several pre-written clues that we could ask for every 10 minutes. That was nice and predictable. Also, I'd put a cap on the number of people per room to 5 or 6. We had over 6 and it was crowded and several people opted to sit in the shadows - not sure if that was bec say of personality or because there were just too many type As taking charge. We had originally booked an earlier time (via the online reservation form) but were encouraged to move it back so we wouldn't 've allow. I understand that the game has a different dynamic with just 2 people but it honestly felt too crowded with our group. If they had more rooms, I would have suggested splitting the group in half for each to do a different room, but they are just getting started, so I understand that they just have the one room. I will say that I appreciated the "debrief" we had at the end with the owners and they were open to feedback too. They told us that they hope to get at least 2 more rooms in the next few months. Assuming the additional rooms they add are the same caliber as The Cabin, I'm looking forward to coming back soon! read more

We did the Revenge of the Nerds room with four couples. Because of the large number of puzzles and locks, everyone had a chance to participate and contribute. The puzzles were interesting, and there were a few that were super-creative. We received a steady diet of hints and encouragement on the screen in the room. We definitely will do another room here. The staff was very nice, but seemed a bit rushed and understaffed. read more
