Challenging, entertaining and most importantly fun! My group chose the "Breakout" room which had a Shawshank Redemption theme. The game master explained that knowledge of the movie was not needed to succeed. He also explained the rules beforehand and answered any questions we had. Once we got into the room, the real fun began! I'm not going to spoil anything, but the riddles and combinations were pretty hard. Luckily, our game master Richard gave us hints when we got stumped. This place was a lot of fun! My family was vacationing in Wildwood and decided to stop by on a rainy day. The owner and staff are very friendly and explained all the rules for us, since many of us had never done an escape room before. We did the "Break Out" escape room with 8 people ages 14 to 25. Everyone contributed and had a wonderful time. It was definitely challenging and a great team building experience! While some of the puzzles were tricky, the staff will give you as many hints as you want (so it's good for younger kids as well). Overall a great experience! read more

My daughter visited Escape Cape May with friends in December 2018. The location was very convenient, just minutes away from where we stayed in Wildwood. They have three rooms to choose from that can accommodate a wide range of ages. Our group did the Breakout Room. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave just the right amount of clues to keep the kids moving. This would be a great family outing! I want to go back and do the High Roller's Lounge! read more

First time doing an escape room, and didn't really know what to expect. This was definitely a good first experience. We completed the "breakout" room. Loved the experience. Went with 4 people. Wouldn't go with more than 5 people, but it's fun to have 2 groups compete in separate rooms. Had a private room of 4 people. We didn't make it through the Beach House, but puzzles were REALLY clever and technology was awesome! Facilities were clean and rooms were on the more spacious side. Ryan, our Game Master, was really nice and walked my family through Escape Rooms since it was their first time doing one. I went to Escape Room Cape May with a group of 8 and did the "Breakout" room. This is a good room for that many people. There were plenty of riddles, puzzles and locks to divide and conquer. I really liked the multiple stages in the experience. Richard was a great game master who made the experience a lot of fun. We did the Breakout room. This was a fun room! Two 9 year olds, 2 young teens and 2 adults and we got out with about 13 minutes to spare. Everyone was able to feel like they contributed. Nicely themed throughout, well maintained, with very nice, welcoming people running it. We will definitely come back for the other room(s), we had a really good time! read more

My daughter did this with her cheer team after the 1st day of a 2-day competition in Wildwood. Is was so close! She had so much fun and it was a great bonding experience for her and her teammates! Went to Cape May for a Girls Night and found the Escape Room Cape May. It was so much fun, although we didn't escape on our own. Every one from the person I spoke to on the phone to book the room to Richard, our room master, was wonderful. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun thing to do while in the shore area. read more

At first glance it looks like a rinky dink escape room place. However, it was nothing like that! Everyone was so professional. The employees love what they do and have great enthusiasm. It was SO MUCH FUN. A little pricey for 4 people. It was $120! About $25 each. But it was worth it, so fun. Can't wait to do it again. read more

Rainy night at the beach and needed something to do with with the under 21 crowd..this was great fun.. medium skill level but hard enough to keep everyone thinking. Great way to spend an hour on a rainy day. We made a reservation the day before for four of us, ages 11-47. We were paired with another group of four in the "Detention Room." Staff is welcoming and friendly. Definitely not an easy escape, but so much fun trying to decipher all of the clues! read more

We did the High Rollers Room with four people and ended up escaping! It's a perfect thing to do when it's too hot of a day to go outside. Our "escape experts," Richard and Laney, were very helpful and friendly! I definitely recommend and will be coming back to try another room! read more
