There are three rooms located at this site. In the past two years, I have done all three with my grandchildren. They are so much fun! The staff is totally committed to your success. My family did the Vampire room and it was really exciting with a lot of interesting puzzles. We are definitely pretty novice at this, but we liked how varied the puzzles were and how some had obviously taken a lot of time and effort to design and implement. We also appreciated the helpful hints that didn't give the entire puzzle away when we were stuck (like I said, we are novices). My only suggestion would be to have a color blindness warning the the website for rooms that have a lot of color coded puzzles. I am colorblind, and thus my group of 5 was down to 4 for a lot of the puzzles. Otherwise, a great experience. read more

Our group had a great time here. It was the first time for any of us at an Escape Room, however the guide/moderator did a great job explaining to us how it would work. We made it through and had a fun time figuring out all the puzzles within puzzles. The price of $25/person is more than I would typically spend on entertainment. However, it is on par with other escape rooms in the area, and is not unreasonable considering the amount of time that must be spent setting up the room(s). It was certainly worth it for experience we had. All in all, I would recommend this Escape Room, for sure! read more

Took my family here a few weeks ago as a Christmas present. We nerd out over games, trivia.. that sort of situation. I'm tellin' ya, put your cell phones down, gather some friends, crack a cold one and engage in a timeless classic board-styled game.. revive the lost art of actual socialization with in a group problem-solving setting! I digress, we went to Escape Room NWI and we loved it. I was skeptical at first, ya know, because I immediately thought it couldn't amount, in quality, to taking everyone into Chicago and doing an escape room there. I was wrong.. you know what the say about assuming.. anywho... The puzzles were challenging and the gal (who said she was part owner with her husband) was funny and helpful throughout the whole shin-dig. We had a group of six since one couple canceled. I was unsure of how this would work, and if it would be just a group of lame puzzles that would be like playing clue when you were a child. Lame it was not! The group gets 'locked' in a room and attempts to solve puzzles in order to open the door to the next room. The puzzles vary, and each one gets you one step close to the key. Once in the second room, even more puzzles await you in order to learn the key code to open the door and escape the room. There were a few surprises, and a couple false clues that meant nothing in retrospect. The puzzles, and clues, were interesting and required a bit of 'outside-the-box' reasoning to solve. Each member of the group thinks differently, and everyone contributed to solving at least one of the puzzles. If we got stuck for too long, the operator of the room would chime in on the radio, and give a vague clue that would steer us in the right direction. While he didn't give us the solution to a puzzle, he prevented us from spending 20 minutes on one problem and getting frustrated in the process. The clues, and puzzles, were complex enough to require a bit of thought, but not overwhelming to the point anybody threw their hands up in defeat. It's a great time, and a great way to start an evening with friends! We will definitely try another room at a different location, and come back to this location once more rooms are completed! read more

1st visit to an ecape room. Planned it as a little 25 yr high school reunion with great friends. IT. WAS. A. BLAST. So much fun! You really get to see how well you work with others. Easy online booking for a family activity with kids (10 & 13), parents, and 2 sets of grandparents. Very friendly greeting and a few quick and clear instructions later, our escape attempt in the Fabrege room started. The clues were challenging but not impossible, and mostly unique throughout. They watch via video cameras as you work your way through, and if you get really stuck, they nudge you in the right direction. Due to a scheduling error, that was my wife's fault, my family and I were met with great disrespect and an overall unpleasant attitude by the owner of this establishment. If you are looking for a friendly, welcoming environment to solve puzzles and enjoy the uniqueness that is the escape room, I encourage you to look elsewhere. Great business idea, poor business management. Edit: In regards to the reply by Escape Room - The scheduling error was my wife's fault, but that's not what this review is about. This review is about how our situation was handled. After the first phone conversation where my wife asked to switch days/times, she immediately felt she had inconvenienced the owner. She was met with a disrespectful attitude and unhelpful demeanor, so much so, that she was fearful to call back to ask another question. Upon arriving with our party of 7, we were told only one of us could partake. We decided to respectfully decline, and left. That night, we were never offered a refund. We were never offered to reschedule at a different time. We were never shown empathy for the confusion. We had small children with us, to which the owner had commented, "We are not a babysitting service". He knew we were the ones that called a few days prior asking the rescheduling questions.The refund only came about after my wife summed up the courage to call and ask for it three days later. No accountability was taken on their behalf. And as far as the woman replying on Escape Room's behalf, Nicole, you have never had any interaction with my family or our scheduling error, so I'm not sure on what authority you are posting. I am business owner myself, and I would never treat any patron the way Escape Room treated my family and I. As a newly established business, I would expect more. As any respectable business, I would expect more. I have done both rooms and today we did the faberge heist and it was so much fun! My boyfriend and I went to EscapeRoomNWI on a date and I can honestly say this had to be the most fun we have had in a long time. Mary greeted us and explained everything to us and another group who had booked the room too. It took teamwork between all parties and we were pleasantly surprised that we all got along so well. I know that this was a good clean and wholesome form of entertainment where we actually enjoyed ourselves fully. This was my first time at an escape room - and I cannot wait to go back and try the other room (they have 2, with a third on the way) with some other friends! It was a lot of fun - the puzzles were quite challenging, and the "hostess" radioed in key hints when she saw we were at an impasse (they watch you via camera to see your progress). I won't give away any of the puzzles, but they were varied enough that everyone in our group contributed in different ways to help solve them all - no one felt left out or that they didn't contribute. Since we varied in age and IQ the younger folks figured everything out and the others basically watched.
