The place was empty for awhile until another group came in. I felt like it was really pricey at essentially $35/per person for an hour- over $100 for 3 of us. The venue has a ton of interactive axe throwing challenges to try with your group, so there was never a dull moment. We ended up having a blast and already want to go back. The axes were also low-grade and not heavy-duty, which is typically what a more professional place uses. I have been axe-throwing before, and it came with an instructor who went over safety, showed you how to throw, and made sure everyone was comfortable before starting. The guy working legit showed us how to use the mouse and keyboard to play the digital games projected on the wood, so we could throw. He also threw one axe and said good luck. It was very odd, and the two guys working sat on another couch and played their own music. Our group made the best of it, but we could have set this up in our backyard; it was not impressive. Although none of us were very good, we still had a wonderful time at the Burr Ridge IL location. They were kind enough to give us smaller axes for the kids. Everyone was so nice and the music was fantastic. You can tell the place was slightly aged, with not a lot of upkeep, but still really fun place just to go for a spontaneous outing.
