Escape is such a peaceful experience! I'm really glad i got the chance to go and that it helped with the swelling and tension. It's amazing how a place that caters specifically to your needs can make such a difference, especially when it's a more personal and attentive experience. It wss so soothing to be able to unwind in such a calming environment, especially with everything I've been through. My therapist's careful approach helped with that drainage issue as well, which can be such a challenge to manage. It's awesome that everyone was so welcoming--having that kind of atmosphere really added to the overall relaxation. I cannot support a business owner who was recorded making degrading comments about another woman's appearance. Comparing a heavier-set woman to the character Precious from the film Precious in a mocking and demeaning manner is not only disrespectful, but deeply disappointing. What was even more concerning was the apparent lack of accountability afterward. Instead of demonstrating empathy, self-reflection, or growth, the response seemed dismissive and unapologetic. As consumers, we pay attention to how business owners treat people, especially other women. No one is required to be perfect, but respect, humility, and accountability should be the minimum standard. Speaking as though other women are beneath you or "not on your level" reflects a mindset that I do not wish to support with my time or money. There are too many businesses led by people who uplift others to spend my support on one that appears comfortable tearing them down. The standard should be better than this. read more

Wow! Just...WOW!! What an amazing experience! I was so overwhelmingly impressed with my visit! It was so good, I didn't want to leave!! A friend of mine told me that this spa was really good. She actually told me about a couple of years ago. What took me so long to visit? IDK!! I booked my appointment online and chose a time that was good for me. I arrived 15-20 minutes prior but keep in mind, you should arrive like 30 minutes sooner! I was given a tour of the facility and then was given a locker and key I went into "waiting room" that had my name, blanket and cozy chair waiting for me until my massage therapist came to retrieve me. I had a 90 minute massage and it was absolutely spectacular! My massage therapist made sure to give me exactly what was needed. After that I slipped back into my robe and slippers and started to explore the spa. I first went to the wine room and got a glass of champagne before going into the hot tub where I saw a sign that said "Spa Ritual". When you visit, you are going to want to follow it so you can get the best out of your visit! My time here was enjoyed and after this, I guarantee you, I'll never visit another spa! Wow! Visited on Juneteenth and my ancestors told me to get some R&R. I've had this place bookmarked for the LONGEST and finally decided to use Juneteenth to try it out. I booked a custom facial at 10am, which was their first appointment. For this spa to be in a strip mall, the design was WELL done. Upon entering, the front desk must buzz you in. The front desk ladies were nice and pleasant. I was given a tour of the spa before my appointment. Alex did my facial. She was nice and very gentle. She also provided recommendations which were helpful. 20% gratuity is included/added so the custom facial was about $210. Additionally, you can use the amenities up to 2 hours after your appointment; I'm not certain if you could use the amenities BEFORE your appointment but that's something that would have made sense to me. Because using it after my facial, as I'm sweating from the whirlpool and sauna was not a good idea to me lol. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time and plan on coming back. I applied for a position in October and was not contacted about an interview until November. I was offered the job at the end of November and accepted. I did not hear from the spa again until today, when I was informed that the position I was offered and accepted, had been given to someone else. I feel taken advantage of. Purchased a gift card that included a massage and facial. I used the massage portion and thought it was odd the amount remaining did not cover the facial. It took me nearly two years to return to use the other portion, but I was careful to contact the spa ahead of time, provided them with the GC number in preparation for a facial today. The facial was your basic facial. At the counter, the receptionist and manager refused to apply my gift card, stating it was expired. My giftcard nor the receipt contain an expiration date. I kindly returned the products I planned to purchase. They offered me 10% off instead of the remaining $110 on the giftcard, which came to a $20 discount. The amount I was granted should have actually been the total cost of the facial if the massage had been charge properly. I paid $208 for a facial and they offered an apology. read more

I had an interview here on Friday and am sharing my experience for customers and employees or prospective employees alike. When I scheduled the interview with Natosha (the hiring manager and spa director) I asked her to please include the address of the spa in her confirmation email and gave her my email address. I received the confirmation email but it did not include the address. I responded immediately and asked that she send the address when she got a chance. She never responded. Friday morning I realized so I called the number back and left a voicemail. Natosha called me back and said I emailed that to you. I said I'm sorry but I double checked the email and it doesn't have it so if you could send it again I would appreciate it. She cut me off and said "No, I definitely sent it to you." I apologized again and offered to show her the email I received when I got there but reiterated I needed the address if she still wanted me to come in. She then asked for my email address and insisted that she had never been given my email, it was just on my resume. I don't know what the difference is between receiving my email via phone call or resume but regardless the responsibility of communication is on the employer since Indeed does not give candidates contact information. I showed integrity by following up multiple times but she argued with me instead of simply sending me the address again. When I arrived for the interview Natosha greeted me coldly; she didn't smile or introduce herself, just told me to take a seat. As soon as we began the interview she immediately began arguing again that she had sent the address and I had never given her my email address, it was just on my resume. At this point it was clear this wouldn't be a good fit so I walked out after Natosha refused to even look at the email I had received. I never blamed Natosha for me not having the address, I simply asked her to send it again. Instead of handling it with grace she chose to lash out and argue with me. She also took issue with my asking questions about pay. In the state of Texas, massage therapists can be paid like bartenders which is a minimum of $2.13. This is despite the fact that massage therapists have degrees that we likely went into debt for; we also have bi-annual continuing education expenses, monthly insurance expenses, and bi-annual recertification expenses. This is the first state I have lived in that treats massage therapists as service industry workers so I had questions about that when I realized their pay was below minimum wage. I wasn't abrasive in my questions and in no way implied that they were conducting business illegally or even unethically, I simply had questions. But her response to those questions absolutely makes me question her ethics. What I look for in an employer is integrity and honesty. I've been in this field since 2013 and I care deeply about the work that I do because I've seen firsthand the impact it can have. Wherever I work, I want to see the same level of care in everything they do. Natosha displayed a shocking lack of integrity and it's clear to me that she doesn't care about the work, she cares about making money. It's truly heartbreaking to see such disregard for professionalism in the industry I care so deeply about. The bar is on the ground at this spa unfortunately and I hope Natosha will take this as a learning experience. I'm not sharing this to seek some kind of retribution for my time being wasted; I don't appreciate that my time was wasted, but ultimately I care so much more about the lack of integrity shown by a supposed professional in this industry. I care more about the clients that receive sub-par care because she cares more about money than integrity. I care more about the clients who will walk in with some kind of trauma and not be treated with the care they deserve. I care more about the degradation to the industry and the therapists trying to make a living doing what they love. They deserve a leader who cares as much as they do and Natosha clearly does not. read more

I was looking forward to receiving a skin analysis and product recommendations based on the analysis since I'm trying to step up my skin care routine. There was no analysis done even though the website states that an analysis will be done. Instead the facial simply began and consisted of relaxation type treatment. That's great but not what I came in to receive. The lighting was never bright enough to see anything. No extractions were done. I had products recommended but I quickly declined because I know that no actual analysis of my skin was done. If I want a massage and simply a spa day, I will return but not for a facial. My best friend in NYC found Pure Vichy because she wanted to get me a giftcard for my birthday to a black-owned spa in Houston. I had to thank her after my massage. Pure Vichy is located in a quiet and calm area. Once inside, the spa is claming, clean, and soothing. The receptionist is friendly. I was escorted to the back to change into their robe and received a locker. I was offered tea, sangria, or a mimosa. I opted for the sangria which was delicious. I received my drink in the lounge that was so relaxing and reminded me that, "Life is Good." For my masseuse, I had Ronald and, I must say, it was the best massage I have ever had. We conversed a bit in the beginning and he used the information (I workout about 5-7 days a week) to customize my massage to help ease tension. He even showed me stretches I could do after my workout to help me not be so tight in certain areas. I suck at stretching lol. It was a great experience. My first time being here the wet room jacuzzi was cold I was pretty disappointed and the water that was left for the guest looked old to me like if they let the water sit there for a couple of days I thought for a moment that it was just me but it wasn't. I recently just went to the escape spa Saturday with my mother in law I am assuming the lady with the white hair was the manager she sat in the corner office she looked so disturbed with her job we got there right at 9 and we knocked because they were not open we just drove 4 hours to come to this place and they didn't open till 9:10 we were trying to use the restroom before our appointment but when they open the doors they did not look happy to great us at all. I did get a massage by Damian it was excellent however once I was done I went to the room where they have wine they did not show my mother in law that room so she was in the wet room they did not give her any drinks or offer her anything which was disappointing i ordered us a cheese board and the lady said it was going to take 30 minutes that "the guy was busy and he was making other boards for customers" I thought I was trippin because me and my mother in law were the only people there. So I waited about 3 minutes and decided to just go to the wet room and enjoy myself the lady comes back to the wet room and says she already made the cheese board to head back to the other room she was so rude to me rolling her eyes I was like I am now in the wet room enjoying my time I won't be back over there till I am done she just looked at me rolled her eyes and left she came back again and wanted to bring the cheese board in the wet room which I did not want it in there since there is restrooms also close by the restroom I thought that was so disgusting and I told her no again please let me enjoy my time and she just walked off for paying over about $500 I don't think this place was worth it also when we got to the wet room the complementary water looked so old it was nasty.. Being that I go to top spas in Houston and on every trip I take, I thought this spa was going to become one of those top spas that I frequent!! I saw the owners article in paper city magazine that her spa was completed and designed by one of the top spa designers in the industry. So I decide to book a facial and a deep tissue massage for my spa day! I get there bright and early about an hour before my first service so that I can use the amenities. The spa director asks if I want to move my facial closer so that they're not as far apart so I said those were the only times you had but yes if they can get closer together, that would be great. She never stated what the new times were. I never asked because at this point I'm observing all areas. She showed me around the spa which is very small. She also tells me there was an issue with the hot tub so it was warm instead of hot. When I put my foot in the hot tub, it was ice cold. It was not warm nor luke warm, it was ice cold and smelled like lots of bleach or chlorine so I immediately went to the shower to was it off my skin. The shower is extremely small and could've been better designed. For the other amenities, I did use the cold bucket shower and the sauna. Once I completed that, I went into the quiet room and took a nap. My massage nor facial didn't start on time, the massage started about 11:40 or so. The guy Ronald did my deep tissue really well. Once he finished, I went back into the quiet room close to 1pm and wasn't brought to my facial until after 1:30 which was supposed to start at 1:30. The spa director said when I first came in that she was moving my appointments closer which she didn't. My appointments stayed at the same time I scheduled them for. The facial was definitely not my best facial. I expected a whole lot more than a sheet mask I paid 30 extra for and a few serums. I have paid the same or less for great facials. This facial literally felt like nothing but rubbing. There was nothing else. I expected someone to look at my skin, do a lot more to my skin for what I paid. The kicker is that they automatically add 20% gratuity but yet they never stated that anyplace. Not on the website, not on the email booking nor confirmation, not on the text message, not in person. This is highly illegal. You can't add service charges to someone's bill without them knowing it. I am upset about that because I like to give tips based off the quality of service I get. That could be 20%, less than 20% or more than 20%. So that is hurting the service provider and also upsetting the customer. Based off the experience I had, I would not drive from sugar land to cypress to visit this spa again. I will continue gong to the Four Seasons and Houstonian for my spa days in Houston. read more

What an experience! I went here today with my sister for a spa day birthday. Walked into the facility, front clerk was super nice. Showed us to the changing room and locker. I align with other reviews about this place. I recently redeemed a gift card for a men's performance facial. I'm unsure as to why they call it a "performance facial". It was an hour long of some very nice, rubbing of different creams and things on my face and then a couple of hot towels. The best part about my facial was the massage to my hands and arms. Never mentioned in the website prior to booking (unless I missed it) and was only mentioned on a small card at the front desk. That's not how you do business, this is not a restaurant, adding 20% gratuity to a spa day makes absolutely no sense. If you want to add the charge then make it clear before booking or add it to the original price. In addition, our massage lasted 53 mins, we paid for 1 hour. My wife and I decided to spend our anniversary day here, and I was blown away by how great everything was. The spa itself is beautiful and clean. Once you get through the doors it's like you truly escape everything else around you and you get to be free from any worry. The front desk was very courteous and greeted us with a smile. Once I opened up my locker I was greeted with a "happy anniversary" note. It was a really nice touch and elevated my excitement for the massage we booked. Beatriz did my massage, and I have nothing but praise for her. I'm not one to want to make conversation while getting a massage, so I really appreciated that Beatriz asked me all the questions she needed before the massage started. Once she started she just did her thing, and she really knows what she's doing. Definitely will be coming back to see her. The relaxation room had some very comfortable chairs and the ambiance was so relaxing that my wife actually fell asleep. Probably the worst "spa experience" I've ever had. I had the couples spa experience and it started with a tour by the front desk lady. She was great. Then when we got to the relaxation room I tried to have some cucumber water (very little left in there) and it tasted like it was days old... not to mention we were there at 10am. When it was time for the massage, our masseuses were very nice but I noticed I was freezing throughout the entire first half massage so I said something and I asked if we could turn the air down. The masseuse realized she never turned it on. So I spend half the massage time not enjoying it due to how cold I was. She probably could feel I was ice cold... I left the massage still cold. Then there were a few noise disturbances which made it not a relaxing experience. Someone open and closed the door slamming it and the second disturbance was a very loud alarm of one of the masseuses that went off. Overall, I am very disappointed in this experience. Not to mention I HAD to pay a 20% gratuity at the end which I don't believe was fair to be forced to pay considering the experience we had... overall just disappointing as I had very high hopes. read more

I was a little skeptical checking this place out because it didn't have many reviews and the few prior didn't give the best rating but I decided to go with my gut and give it a chance. I am SO glad I did! This place had everything I could've hoped for to give me that true relaxation factor! From the bar lounge area they have to the sauna/jacuzzi room, this place gave me everything I needed! I'm scared to say my masseuses name because I selfishly don't want her to get booked up lol but I booked Kimberly for a 90 minute massage. Now I've had many massages but never have I had someone as amazing as her! She really took the time to focus on the main areas of my body that needed to be worked on. She took her time and just had the best personality! I'm not one to talk during my massages but this sweet woman had me leaving with the biggest smile on my face. I love meeting people who genuinely love their job and she is definitely one of them! All in all it was a wonderful experience and gave me the perfect amount of luxury that I needed! It is pretty pricey but you get what you pay for in my opinion and this was totally worth the price! If you get the chance, go check this place out!! Side note: I wasn't aware that if you book an appointment, you are free to stay there all day and take advantage of all the amenities they have so I ended up booking my massage on a day that I was scheduled to go into work and sadly wasn't able to use the amenities due to lack of time.
