    Witchly ever after

Absolutely phenomenal. We ended up doing 2 rooms here. The first room we did was the Pandemic one. I won't touch on the puzzles in there but we wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of hints. The game master is very helpful. The second room we did was Witchly Ever After and that escape room is hands down the best room I've ever been in. The puzzles supposedly scale with how quick you progress through the room, which idk how the mechanics of that work. This is their newest room and all the mechanics inside were so smooth and the audio is soooo funny. I cannot recommend this room enough. If I'm ever back in town I'm definitely coming back and trying more rooms!!

I tried Hotel Molly quest and I loved it! It was a challenging and interesting puzzle going through the murder happened in the hotel with some spooky vibes. The price is average for the escape rooms. There are multiple options to choose from up to 60-90 minutes for each game. There is a big parking lot, restrooms, lockers. I'd recommend!

Love Omescape! I've played both their San Jose and Sunnyvale location. It has a great balance of difficulty and game mechanics. The room designs and tech are top tier! If you're a horror fan, you'll definitely like the scary spooky stuff they definitely cater to that with their most of their rooms.

I recently tried the Witchly Ever After game with a few friends visiting town. The setup was well-designed, elaborate, and immersive- we loved the theme! We enjoyed the fact that the rooms required revisiting and that the puzzles varied. There's a fun little surprise at the end that made our whole group laugh. I highly recommend their newest escape game for everyone of all ages. * They have escape buttons for those who need to get out of claustrophobic situations.

    Ask the Community - Omescape

Someone in our group has a knee injury. Does everyone have to climb or crawl in the Cats room or just 1 person (e.g. person climbs a ladder to look for a clue while the others are below)?

Yes everyone has to climb or crawl unless the staff makes an exception and ushers you outside to the next room.

Are there physical limitations for any of the rooms? Is there a specific room that would be good if one cannot crawl or climb well due to injury?

Yes, you cannot do the Kingdom of Cats one because there is some climbing involved. Nothing really bad but climbing half a story.

Is the online pursuit of assassin artist, an actor with an iPad experience or a virtual room where each person can explore the room on their own?

Can a group of teenagers of mostly 14 and a couple of 13 years play on their own?

We were a group of 30 somethings. But I think that the cat room we did had NOTHING inappropriate or even remotely PG-13. If they like puzzles and understand the concept of an escape room I don't see why they couldn't do it successfully. But I'd… Read more

Is this good for kids 11 and 12? How much are the kids pricing and are adults required to be in the room to supervise?

This is good for that age range. I'm sure an adult is required for supervision. No idea on pricing.

Are they able to do the same game for two separate groups in separate rooms at the same time? We wanted to do bridesmaids vs. groomsmen for my friend's wedding party.

No, the games are tied to the rooms (because they require fixed props and decorations). Games essentially *are* rooms, there's no way to set them up elsewhere without remodelling.

What is the price per person on the Joker’s asylum?

All games are $30 per person regardless of difficulty.

For context, I normally only review individual rooms on the Morty app and keep my reviews on here for the venue as a whole, not any one specific room. I'm making an exception for Studio420 because it was that bad. I've done other rooms at this location and actually enjoyed them, and there were more I still wanted to try, but after this one I'm not going back at all. Right at the start we told our game master that our main goal was just to see the whole room and get through it, and she said no problem, she'd help us along. That is not what happened. As far as we could tell the whole thing is a single room. It feels like someone had a spare room lying around and threw an escape game into it to make a quick buck. There's barely any theme. There's even a fully working shower in there that has nothing to do with anything. No cool tech, no real set design, just a pile of cheap padlocks scattered around. The puzzles are where it really falls apart. Half the work is just figuring out which lock a code is even supposed to open, because there are several identical locks and nothing points you to the right one. At one point two things look like they're obviously meant to go together (they had matching stickers) and they turned out to be completely unrelated. Another puzzle has more than one answer that satisfies all the clues, but only one of them actually works, which is not okay when the game only accepts a single solution. When we got stuck we told her flat out that we weren't having fun and asked her to just move us past a puzzle so we could keep going and see the rest of the room. She wouldn't do it. She'd toss little hints, but when we straight up asked her to fast forward us through the parts we weren't enjoying, she refused. At one point she was basically making fun of us for not getting something ("Oh wow fam you don't know your ABC's"), when the clue itself was ambiguous and could be read two different ways. The last straw was leaving. My wife was struggling just to get out of their office on the way out, and instead of helping she stood there grinning like it was all part of the show, after we'd already made it very clear we did not enjoy ourselves. Skip Studio420. Save your money and your afternoon.

None of it looked cheap or amateurish. It did seem to be initially understaffed with a poor young lady having to deal with clues for an ongoing group, checking us in, and resetting our room. So we got a late start, but got the full hour. A young man showed up shortly before we started, so I'm sure that helped. We did Conspiracy of Silicon Valley, which is one of the newer games. Once we entered the actual room, it was charming and took you back into the era it was trying to portray. Here, things looked like a step down from the lobby/intro area. More like it was put together a little more DIY, but it didn't really detract from the experience. We had 5 people and split into 2 groups, which made the puzzle solving more feasible. The clues and puzzles were overall good and doable. There was an issue with not properly resetting a critical prop in our room - again, probably due to being understaffed, but we had to get a clue in order to figure out something wasn't right. So took one star off for that. If not for that, it would have been 5 stars. Initially, it looked quite small, but it expanded a bit into some other smaller rooms. It was really quite well done overall, and I think they did a really nice job. And the other great thing is that it's very reasonably priced compared to other escape rooms. For 5 people, it worked out to be $35/person, which is more than reasonable for an hour of fun. Would come here again with friends. Can recommend the experience!
