I have been to this location twice now for escape rooms. I've done the Sorcerers Sanctum and Pandemic Zero. I think of the two I enjoyed the first more, but the puzzles in both are pretty creative! Pandemic zero is more small group friendly whereas sorcerers sanctum fits for a slightly larger group. definitely will be back for some of the other rooms! read more

Love the escape rooms here! I did the witchly ever after room for a friend's bachelorette event and it was the perfect theme. Both cute and challenging. The team was friendly and helpful w/ the game. I also tried their other games in the past (apartment next door) and that was a concept I haven't seen before. In complete dark! Highly recommend this escape game company. read more

My first time going to an escape room and it was challenging but fun. We were a party of 5 and we played the Pandemic Zero room which was a 4/5 difficulty level. Our party had a mix of first timers and some with experience. It was difficult in some of the rooms since we were overthinking some of the puzzles but not impossible to solve, especially since you can ask for hints. They allowed unlimited hints without any time deduction. I was impressed at how the room and props were so detailed and decorated really well. Had a blast at Omescape - San Jose! The place is super clean and well-maintained, which definitely adds to the immersive experience. They've got *tons* of different escape room games to choose from--great variety in themes and difficulty levels, so there's something for everyone, whether you're a newbie or a seasoned puzzle-solver. It's really easy to find, and there's a ton of parking available, which made getting in and out a breeze (big plus for the South Bay!). The only downside is that it's a little on the pricey side, especially if you're going with a group--but honestly, for the quality of the experience and the slick setup, it feels mostly worth it. Perfect spot for a fun weekend activity or a team-building outing. Will definitely be back to try the rooms we missed! read more

No, the games are tied to the rooms (because they require fixed props and decorations). Games essentially *are* rooms, there's no way to set them up elsewhere without remodelling.

1 star. We did Studio420 on April 25, 2026 and it was easily the worst escape room either of us has…read moredone. For context, I normally only review individual rooms on the Morty app and keep my reviews on here for the venue as a whole, not any one specific room. I'm making an exception for Studio420 because it was that bad. I've done other rooms at this location and actually enjoyed them, and there were more I still wanted to try, but after this one I'm not going back at all. Right at the start we told our game master that our main goal was just to see the whole room and get through it, and she said no problem, she'd help us along. That is not what happened. As far as we could tell the whole thing is a single room. It feels like someone had a spare room lying around and threw an escape game into it to make a quick buck. There's barely any theme. There's even a fully working shower in there that has nothing to do with anything. No cool tech, no real set design, just a pile of cheap padlocks scattered around. The puzzles are where it really falls apart. Half the work is just figuring out which lock a code is even supposed to open, because there are several identical locks and nothing points you to the right one. At one point two things look like they're obviously meant to go together (they had matching stickers) and they turned out to be completely unrelated. Another puzzle has more than one answer that satisfies all the clues, but only one of them actually works, which is not okay when the game only accepts a single solution. When we got stuck we told her flat out that we weren't having fun and asked her to just move us past a puzzle so we could keep going and see the rest of the room. She wouldn't do it. She'd toss little hints, but when we straight up asked her to fast forward us through the parts we weren't enjoying, she refused. At one point she was basically making fun of us for not getting something ("Oh wow fam you don't know your ABC's"), when the clue itself was ambiguous and could be read two different ways. The last straw was leaving. My wife was struggling just to get out of their office on the way out, and instead of helping she stood there grinning like it was all part of the show, after we'd already made it very clear we did not enjoy ourselves. Skip Studio420. Save your money and your afternoon.

The clues and puzzles were overall good and doable. There was an issue with not properly resetting a critical prop in our room - again, probably due to being understaffed, but we had to get a clue in order to figure out something wasn't right. So took one star off for that. If not for that, it would have been 5 stars. Initially, it looked quite small, but it expanded a bit into some other smaller rooms. It was really quite well done overall, and I think they did a really nice job. And the other great thing is that it's very reasonably priced compared to other escape rooms. For 5 people, it worked out to be $35/person, which is more than reasonable for an hour of fun. Would come here again with friends. Can recommend the experience!

I just bookmarked for a couple of years, and I finally visited it. My boyfriend and I along with his doggie were having a day out in Santa Cruz. I told him that we should visit this place so that we can swing on the beach. He was down for it, but once we found the way to get down to it--he said, "No way, I'm doing that." I *did* not let that stop me from going down there to experience the swing though. My boyfriend and his doggie stayed at the top of the cliff and watched me climbed down to the beach. Yes, it was pretty treacherous. Thank goodness there was a rope with knots to hold onto. Otherwise, I don't think I would be able to do it successfully without that lifesaver rope. Thank you so much to whoever secured that rope there! Also, I do want to point out I did this in a dress and flipflops?! Crazy right.. Then again.. I'm crazy, I do admit it. ;) There were a four gals and guys down there chilling. I asked them if there was another way to get in and out of here, but they confirm that that was the only way in and out. I got to swing on the swing and took some videos. The swing looked cool from the photos that I seen, but it doesn't swing well straight. It does swing sideways. Lol... It took me about 7 minutes to go down and about 4 minutes to climb back up. I know this because my boyfriend recorded me. Lol... I'm very grateful that I was determined to do this despite the company that I had didn't want to do it. Years ago I let someone that I was with who didn't want to do it influence me to also not do it when we visitied Alamere Falls so I won't let that happen anymore. If there is something I want to do, it's okay to do it alone when other people don't want to do it. That's on self-love, baby! There is two parking areas. We initially parked in the one right across the post office, but then we follow this group to the other one right next to it because it was closer. We walked across the railroad tracks and found the opening to the climb to the beach. I was sore for a few days afterwards in my legs from climbing the side of the cliff, but oh gosh... It was so worth it!

So either come early or be prepared to make a few circles and speed back as soon as you see someone leaving. The trails themselves have such beautiful views of the South Bay. I do wish there were more signs on what paths are what--there are a couple but there were a few forks where we weren't 100% sure which route would keep us on the loop. It is a pretty steep hike downhill to begin with if you're starting from the lot, which unfortunately means it's almost all uphill back but hey, you can feel good about earning that extra side of fries afterwards! There are also no restrooms so be sure to go before leaving the house!

I like to randomly stop at little towns, beaches, roadhouse eateries that's dotted along the way. There are so many beaches on highway 1. I'm still exploring around myself. Pulled in onto this beach as they had a big parking area on the cliffside. This is in-between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay, super close to the road that you can take to go to Big Basin. This is not a lying around type of beach. It is very raw and very windy for some reason. Lots of seabirds on parts of the beach, lots of stranded seaweed and due to the wind, lots of white water surf. And a big attraction here actually is due to the surf and wind conditions. Lots of surfers and wind-surfers here that it'll catch your eye even from the highway. Wind surfers are these skilled and brave souls that go out in rough seawater with a parachute like apparatus connected to them, as so they can take flight and take leaps almost at bird level. And they are able to surf more waves without being pounded by rough waves, as they are able to jump from wave to wave via air/wind. Even tho it was too windy for me to sit out there for longer than 30 minutes, it was a blast watching these guys bounce and float around in what would otherwise be dangerous waters. I'm eventually going to knock out all the beaches from Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay, and this one was a special one to knock out.

I was nervous having never even visited the place and only going off of another parents recommendation but the staff gave me direct communication as I continuously checked in (shout out to LuLu) and she provided me the comfort of knowing he's having fun and he told me he wasn't ready to come home until the last min of his day. He is excited to go again. He talked about the fun he had that days for several days after. I would def recommend trying it out even if it's just for one time. My son generally does best in more structured environments. This camp felt very busy, chaotic, and highly stimulating for him however he seemed to enjoy the activities very much. With a large group of children, I personally expect very active and engaged supervision, especially during free play. That part made me nervous as I saw on drop off no supervision while boys were playing soccer in my childs group. Ultimately, I made a decision to cut the camp short and move him to a another camp that blends sports and arts and had better student teacher ratios and just more a more personable manager in charge. Although GrowFit does not offer refunds, I still felt more comfortable choosing a calmer, environment. He is doing much better there, and I have less anxiety on saftey.

I recently hosted a birthday party here, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our…read moreexpectations. For a venue that is more expensive than other options, the value simply isn't there. Here are the main issues we encountered: 1) Strict "No Outside Food" Policy vs. Actual Food Provided: Their website explicitly discourages outside food, stating, "As our parties include plenty of food for the kiddos... outside food is unnecessary and discouraged." Because of this, we trusted them and didn't bring extra snacks. However, the actual food took quite a long time to prepare, and the only snack provided in the meantime was a single small bowl of pretzels per table. The kids were absolutely starving. When one table finished theirs, a staff member brought out more pretzels seeing they were hungry--only for him to find out after that they were strictly limited to one bowl, and the employee simply hadn't known the rule. When the other table ran out they weren't allowed to get extra pretzels! 2) We paid an extra $37 for premixed lemonade (which tasted like a standard powder mix). The kids were restricted to just one small cup each. They were still thirsty afterward, but they were cut off from the lemonade and could only get tap water after that. 3) This is a cooking environment where the kids are constantly using their hands to handle food. I fully expected the very first step of the party would be to make sure the kids washed their hands. Shockingly, not once did the staff line the kids up or instruct them to wash their hands before they started preparing and touching the ingredients. 4) We wanted to have an ice cream cake and they were unwilling to let us borrow freezer space for a small cake, stating that they did not have room. We know other cooking venues allow this and allowed an even bigger sheet cake. So were surprised that this cooking venue wouldn't have space in the freezer for a small ice cream cake. It was just an inconvenience as we had to go get the cake during the party. 5) To top it off, the tip must be paid fully in advance.
