Shoutout to them for trying their best to fix a broken furniture piece and being patient with our clue requests haha. We finished in 1.5 hrs, yay! Picture opportunity w/ props at the end of your visit which will be sent to the email address you put down on the waiver :) I would make the 30-40 min drive to play a game here with friends again! NOTES: There are restrooms and a locker area to store your belongings before entering the escape room. You'll also need to fill out a digital waiver (QR code). GAME: *Homunculus-- This storyline was intriguing and intense without confusing you. I enjoyed how my group was instructed to watch a video going into more detail about the plot we were gonna be immersed in. Pretty much every room had audio playing to continue the storyline and inform you on what task to focus on next + hints. The acting scenes and movable furniture were so cool! Srsly made me respect set construction and the developers' creativity. My favorite aspects of this experience were: - spotlights on which sections to focus on so you're not just put into a huge room, having a sequence and unlocking other rooms was rly satisfying! - walkie talkies for hints instead of having to wave at a camera - the acting and costumes XD this was so funny bc you'll be startled but realize oh it was the rly nice staff from outside so no need to fear PARKING: Plentiful since it's in a plaza with a supermarket.

Killian took the time to explain the rules clearly to us and Amy provided us hints while staying in character. Appreciate them a lot! Would go again for a different escape room!

2.5 stars for our Lockdown1 game. Had much higher expectations for this highly rated escape room…read more It is located on the second floor of a building that reminded me of a motel. All windows were covered and the staff cracked open the door just enough to come outside and let us to another different door down the hall, also with covered windows. The room was a dark room with a big table and she briefed us there in the dark. Even though this is not one of their blindfolded rooms, she still blindfolded us and let us through a narrow path into the room while she narrated. It was hard to understand her. It was unnecessary because the whole place was dark anyway and my bf bumped into the wall because she guided him into it. Despite charging as much as many other escape rooms, the room and puzzle design did not give us the same value. Every puzzle except for one contraption was all manual and this room heavily relied on a series of puzzles that give you a code for several locks. There is no sequence of solving certain puzzles that lead to another and you cannot tell which hints to look for some or which puzzle is for which lock for half of the puzzles. We also received incorrect/misleading clue. Just doesn't seem like a professionally designed escape rooms but more like something that scraped together.

I signed up myself, my partner, and our friends for the computer chip heist scavenger hunt at the…read moreComputer History Museum. Although we enjoyed the general plot of the scavenger hunt and liked the experience of narrowing down who the culprit was, we felt that the clues were excessively specific, as we had to skim through every label in each area of the museum to get the information we needed. I think we would've preferred more general clues where you could still enjoy the information in that area of the museum without having to work so hard to search through each line of text. I also felt like the clues given were not very connected to the objects in the museum, and the plot of the mystery didn't seem very relevant to the setting of the museum. This took us out of the environment of the museum and made the experience less enjoyable. I felt that the length of was too long at 2.5 hours, although if the clues hadn't been as specific, perhaps we would have been less mentally exhausted at the end. We felt that it was fairly easy to narrow down the culprit with a handful of clues, so I think it would have made for far more intrigue if the clues were more directly tied to the plot and involved more thinking rather than just piecing together tidbits of information. My biggest qualm was the price of the scavenger hunt. I felt like paying $60 for to cover the cost of the museum admission, the video at the beginning of the scavenger hunt, and the website that was made for the scavenger hunt was very unreasonable. An average escape room in the area is about $40 to $50, and escape rooms have much more upfront expenses for the organizers, including the cost of renting the space, the elaborate props, and the staffing. This was a fairly enjoyable one-time experience, but in the future I would just go to an escape room.

Tal provided accurate descriptions of how each experience would be and what are the available options. Tal was very patient while I sorted out the date of the event and also the experience we wanted. Not going to give any spoilers on the event but we chose the Escape from haunted mansion. The event was held in Sports Page Bar where our team of 17 members split into five groups. The puzzles to solve were very creative and simulates your brain. Also is good team building experience where we need to work as a team and individually to escape within the time. As part of the experience we all got a drink/snack as complimentary. To top it all Tal gave a nice prize/gift to the winning team. Lastly I would like to highlight the amazing customer experience where we booked for 19 people and only 17 people turned up. Tal was able to get us the refund for the two no shows. I will be definitely excited to try out their other scavenger hunts in the upcoming years.

There is a photo op with various props in the corner of the lobby as well as branded apparel for purchase. We were told that we had three free clues, and any more would cost us time (you can do social media for extra time). We attended wizard school, which is rated medium/hard (same as the other ones at this location in Livermore). Based on the theming, bringing a Harry Potter fan in your group is mandatory - it's filled with tons of references to the series which was pretty neat to see. The first room we were in was surprisingly huge and intricate, and was also the room in which a majority of the game takes place. We solved the first several puzzles relatively well after we took some time to take in everything. It felt immersive, like we had been transported to a magical room in an alternate universe opposed to just a room that was decorated. The puzzles utilized pattern recognition, literal interpretation, symbols and translation, listening to instructions, riddles, interaction with room elements, hidden object games, astrology, and more. We've been to a few different escape rooms, and consider our experience at Limitless Escape Games to be one of the hardest we've done. You can tell one person put a lot of thought, passion, and ideas in the puzzles, as they were quite detailed, clever, and cohesive - progressing through the puzzles aided to the storytelling. That being said, the structure seemed a bit linear in that we had to focus on one puzzle at a time and couldn't do much until something was resolved. Our party of two ended up failing out of wizard school pretty horribly, as we just spent too long on one of the puzzles and didn't want to take a clue out of stubbornness. The puzzle we were trying to solve was... lagging. As well, we asked for a hint but didn't get it for a couple minutes because they weren't paying attention. Our game master kindly showed us how to resolve the rest of the room, though, and made us feel better by letting us know that the escape rate is roughly 1/3. He also told us that their other locations feature more high-tech rooms, such as the ones in Pleasanton which we hope to try in the future! We were offered a discount for the rest of the day if we wanted to book future games, which was basically the same price as their Groupon. While disappointed at our failure, we did really enjoy the thoughtfulness of the theming and puzzles offered here which do differ drastically from escape room chains. I'd say this experience was a lot harder than the typical escape room, so I wouldn't recommend it for complete beginners; that being said, it's amazing if you want a challenge!

We did the Bank Heist Escape Room which had some challenges in there. My group of 9 finished in the last 17 minutes, just a few minutes short from the record. But we all had a great time, I'd love to come back and try their other rooms. I do regret missing their photo op accessories in the corner, I meant to return to that area to get a group photo and totally forgot. IDEA: Perhaps they can move their photo op accessories toward the escape room exits for people to capture their photos there.
