They are not robots, many of them are personable and make me feel happy when I enter and leave. I've been a member for 3 months, this is my final 2 weeks as I break for a summer of walking and swimming. Different classes, some extremely hot, some more focused on sculpting with light dumbbells keeps things interesting. The heat and higher rep light weight really works wonders on your physique and your soul. Pulse Pulse Pulse to Disclosure "defeated no more" which is a crazy coincidence considering I played it this AM for the first time in a decade on the way to class. They do a good job keeping the floors clean here, sweeping right after each class. Thanks CP Bridgeport for 3 months of great vibes and classes moving at a great pace. The studio refuses to assist members with account issues in person and instead directs everything to email. Unfortunately, when you do email --even multiple times--you receive no response. Trying to cancel a membership is unnecessarily difficult, and to make matters worse, my card continued to be charged after my cancellation. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, no one responded or took the simple step of stopping the recurring charges on their end. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service is incredibly frustrating. Members shouldn't have to chase down a business just to get a response about billing issues. Beyond the customer service, I also found this to be one of the least enjoyable Club Pilates locations. The overall experience simply doesn't compare to other studios. Thankfully, I'm switching to the Wilsonville studio, and the difference is night and day. The staff there is welcoming, professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. They provide the level of customer service that every member should expect - timely communication, respect, and a willingness to help. If you're considering Club Pilates in the area, I strongly recommend Wilsonville and would avoid the Sherwood location.

When the student returns to school they owe 3 months and can't cancel for another 30 days. This is illegal.

The first time I canceled my membership which was about a year ago, I didn't have any issues. The second time in March, has been incredibly frustrating. I was told I was too late to cancel for April because they require a 30 day notice. Even though I had already paid for unlimited monthly access for March, I was still charged again for April. What made things worse was how difficult it was to get in contact with anyone. In March I called multiple times a day for several days with no response and eventually had to physically go into the studio just to get confirmation that I would not continue being charged after April. Not to mention, the person at the front desk got into a defensive tone with me when I explained my situation. She repeated that they have a 30 day notice for cancelations which by then, I was well aware of and I was only there in person because I was getting no response to my emails or phone calls. I didn't even receive an email confirmation until April 14th, after I had already been charged. Now it's mid May, and I was charged yet again last week around midnight. I called and luckily someone answered this time and told me I would receive a refund. I still have not received it. Since then, I've called several more times and once again have gotten no answer. This level of communication and billing management is unacceptable, especially for a membership based business. I should not have to repeatedly chase down staff just to stop incorrect charges and get basic confirmation about my account. One last thing about my overall experience is that I discovered that the unlimited monthly classes is not technically unlimited. They max out at 15 per month and you have to wait until you finish a class to book another appointment. At a $260 monthly fee, this seemed a bit odd to enforce when it's already extremely difficult to book a class because they fill up really quickly and tend to have shorter studio hours on certain days.

Beginning during the end stages of COVID restrictions, it was so nice to experience outdoor swimming, the hot tub, and social time with other members. Swimming is my main experience at the club so here is what you should know: * Six lane outdoor salt water pool that is open year round (I've done laps in the snow, sleet, and hail). * You can reserve four of the six lanes and it is very competitive to get times, especially during the warm weather months when you are competing for space with the swim team, swim lessons, and aqua aerobics classes. * The other two lanes are left open for first come first serve usage and swimmers are encouraged to share. * The outdoor hot tub is for 14+ over. I have only taken one yoga class at the club and all classes have you reserve your spot. If you cancel less than 12 hours in advance or are a no show, you are charged a $10 fee. Personally, I don't mind since the reservation system makes me accountable and if I don't have a reservation, I'm less likely to go workout. The club is a nice mix of serious athletes (I'm surrounded by masters swimmers and triathletes), retirees, and families. Prior to my membership, my teenage son was a member for two years and loved the weight room, sauna, and steam room. The club as been open for awhile and is definitely showing its age and is need of some maintenance upgrades in the pool area. That being said, I have been very happy with my membership here and the personal feel, literally being greet by name when entering and exiting, and the wonderful customer service. This club is very different from the large national chains, so to each their own. Definitely recommend a trial membership at this club as well as others in the area to see which is the best fit for you. [1] I am currently re-watching this classic sitcom and while not aging well in the post Me Too era, still good for a lot of laughs.

I had never experienced Yoga before dropping by Escape to Yoga. I was greeted by Annette, who assured me I needed no previous training to participate in the Gentle Hatha classes. I attended my first class the following Monday, and am now on my fifth week of attendance. Most of my classes have been taught by Michelle, and she could not be lovelier. She is very positive and I have never felt embarrassed or uncomfortable with my lack of Yoga knowledge. Annette teaches my Monday class, she too is a pleasure to have as an instructor. The studio is spacious and tastefully decorated. They have created a relaxing environment in which to practice. It is quiet and peaceful, and each day I walk out feeling renewed and thankful. Thankful that this little gem called Escape To Yoga is in Old Town Sherwood and I was brave enough to give it a try. read more

Escape to Yoga is truly an experience. I have been recovering for over a year from major surgery. Because of regular classes at Escape, I have finally been able to recover some of my mobility, confidence and energy. So far, I've only enjoyed the "Gentle Hatha", but as I continue to gain strength and stamina, I can't wait to try out some of the other classes offered! The practice room is incredible - like a tree house, or a magic room at the top of the stair. The staff is tremendous and you can see/feel their passion and calm strength. I thank my lucky stars that such a great yoga studio came to Sherwood! The space is beautiful and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. It is affordable and the variety of classes/times offered is great. I especially value the lunch hour classes. I work in Sherwood and this enables me to get some exercise and clear my mind during my break. I have enjoyed multiple gentle Hatha sessions and also tried Nia, which was a very casual and fun, upbeat cardio experience. I hope to try Zumba and Tai Chi as well. read more

Coming back from shoulder surgery my surgeon was surprised how quickly I healed and got range of motion back much quicker than expected. I highly reccomend yoga for rehab and mental health while rehab is underway. I was back to Vinyasa and 95% under 6 months. It is a very non judgemental studio where everyone is made to feel welcome regardless of where they are at on their yoga journey. Staff are very helpful with providing modifications for any poses you are not able to do. read more

I was so excited about this place after my free consultation. They seemed to have a great approach…read moreto physical therapy, offering solutions for mobility and injury prevention in addition to more traditional strengthening protocols. During my first appointment, I did a consultation with Jessica. We spoke about my history with knee pain from skiing, and then moved into an assessment on the table. Without any kind of prep, she initiated muscle scraping on my entire leg, which was one of the most painful things I've had to endure. She said nothing to the effect of "we're about to do some muscle scraping, are you familiar with this?" or "this may be painful" or "it can cause pretty serious bruising and tenderness." She just got the tools and went right in. It was excruciating, and I found the total lack of preparation unprofessional and alarming. I was left with huge bruises up and down my leg for days; this was 2 days before a birthday trip where I'd be in a bathing suit, during which I had a massage I needed to cancel due to the tenderness of the massive bruises. Had I been prompted about the severity of this procedure, I likely would have declined or opted for a less intense massage approach (which was what I had explicitly asked for in my consultation and the beginning part of my assessment with Jessica, as massage therapy has helped me a great deal before). My first visit ended with some ultrasound therapy, which was more pleasant. Despite the intensity of the scraping, I was at least interested in the fact that this PT (the fourth clinic I've been to in 2 years) was performing more manual therapy than the others. I figured that I would give it a shot. At my second visit, we did more muscle scraping, and no ultra sound therapy. I was quickly passed off to another therapist to do some hip strengthening exercises, and halfway through she had to ask me which side my injury was on. She didn't seem super prepared to help me, and then brought me to the front desk to wrap up my appointment with 20 minutes still left in the hour. That appointment cost me $168, as my insurance does not cover PT until after I've hit my deductible, so I was feeling a bit shortchanged. I asked if I could be charged for fewer PT units due to the shorter appointment, and the therapist instead took me back to do some stretching. I had arrived to my second appt with some hip pain, and the therapist showed me a stretch that aggravated that pain. Upon telling her that I was in pain, and not in a tight muscle kind of way, she said "yeah, you'll feel that" and dismissed it. I left that appointment in more pain than when I arrived. I am super disappointed in the care I received here.

They rent mats out and mat towel is not required - after practice spray and small towels are provided to clean the mats. Little towels for hot classes, blocks, blankets, straps provided (free of charge). Studio is very clean and spacious. Modern designed. Love the floor - you can actually grab it and get into deeper stretch. Very enthusiastic and welcoming teachers.
