I've been coming to Club Pilates on and off for about 2 years and while the instructors and classes…read morethemselves have been great, the way memberships and cancellations are handled has made my overall experience very negative. The first time I canceled my membership which was about a year ago, I didn't have any issues. The second time in March, has been incredibly frustrating. I was told I was too late to cancel for April because they require a 30 day notice. Even though I had already paid for unlimited monthly access for March, I was still charged again for April. What made things worse was how difficult it was to get in contact with anyone. In March I called multiple times a day for several days with no response and eventually had to physically go into the studio just to get confirmation that I would not continue being charged after April. Not to mention, the person at the front desk got into a defensive tone with me when I explained my situation. She repeated that they have a 30 day notice for cancelations which by then, I was well aware of and I was only there in person because I was getting no response to my emails or phone calls. I didn't even receive an email confirmation until April 14th, after I had already been charged. Now it's mid May, and I was charged yet again last week around midnight. I called and luckily someone answered this time and told me I would receive a refund. I still have not received it. Since then, I've called several more times and once again have gotten no answer. This level of communication and billing management is unacceptable, especially for a membership based business. I should not have to repeatedly chase down staff just to stop incorrect charges and get basic confirmation about my account. One last thing about my overall experience is that I discovered that the unlimited monthly classes is not technically unlimited. They max out at 15 per month and you have to wait until you finish a class to book another appointment. At a $260 monthly fee, this seemed a bit odd to enforce when it's already extremely difficult to book a class because they fill up really quickly and tend to have shorter studio hours on certain days.

Great community | Restorative Yoga is a must…read more I found this place from the local magazine advertising a special of $99 for 10 yoga sessions. I was pregnant at the time and knew I wanted to do something relaxing and calm, especially knowing it would be essential postpartum. I've done a few sessions already with Amanda Wheeler's (owner) Restorative Yoga session with sound bath, and it is AMAZING. The website is very easy to navigate and book your classes. You can also drop by to sign up. Amanda is so easy to talk to and makes you feel so welcomed. She poured her heart into this business and it shows. The space is very tastefully designed and decorated. I take notes and want to incorporate some ideas into my own home haha! For parents and anyone with chronic pain, restorative yoga is a MUST. You do a lot of breath work and hold 3 to 5 poses for a long time. These poses all include bolster pillows she has to support your body. The whole point of this session is to be in a total state of relaxation and let go of all of your stress. Basically, you fall asleep for the whole hour while listening to the sound of bowls singing in the room. It was my first time to experience a sound bath and I highly recommend this experience. The ambiance is done so perfectly to match the state of zen Amanda creates. There is also an ice bath. She plans to make space for a sauna in the future as well. I'm a fan of this place. It's located right next to Lux Sucre.

The often intimate class sizes are such a benefit for someone who is always looking for additional guidance on modifications, etc. I have experienced my practice shift in meaningful ways over the past few months I've been attending classes here and feel bummed whenever I have to miss a day or two. The passes and packages are a terrific deal and give ultimate flexibility for the span of folks--from those just exploring to those who want to go daily. Highly recommend this fantastic community!

If you're looking for a quality yoga practice that focuses on proper form and mindfulness then this is your place. I have been able to improve my technique and strength but I've also been able to improve my mindfulness and reduce my stress. This is the place to go if you feel stressed and are looking for like minded every day people to call your yoga buddies. I'm very active and I enjoy the beginning and intermediate classes. Brant is wonderful at walking you through each step and will assist with any adjustments if it hurts or is uncomfortable. Brant even understands when I'm feeling extra strong and I do a little more than what he's teaching. I've even taken a lower back class that helped me through lower back pain. This yoga practice has helped me through a couple car accidents and general tight sore muscles. Helpful tips: Take off your shoes by the door when you first enter Parking is around the back Changing room is in the back corner with hooks for your bags etc Bring an open mind and an open heart!

Brant is highly trained in this method and no class was exactly the same. Creativity was amazing. I also learned the wide range of people taking the course and yet we were all united in spirit, and that kindness/compassion must be in whomever you talk with, as you have no idea what they are dealing with daily. I've also taken Beginner Yoga with him. I'm limited in knee ability some and he always has a solution which is extremely encouraging. I highly recommend any of the classes Brant teaches.

Their level of professionalism, personalized care, and passion for their jobs really stands out. I've entered birth and postpartum feeling well informed, supported, and 'held' (?) in way that allowed me to trust myself and lean on them when desired. Even for those not considering a home birth, I'd still recommend H&H for pregnancy care, advocacy during birth, and postpartum care. You won't regret it!

Sarah was an absolute asset to my birth experience. This pregnancy was as a surrogate, which…read morerequired me to give birth in a hospital, so I knew I needed a coach and an advocate. My first and only other birth of my daughter, was attended by 2 midwives at home and was the best day of my life. So, I hired Sarah and Charli for their doula services and was comfortable with either attending, just happy I knew them and they understood me and my birth plan. Sarah showed up at our house right when the contractions kicked in. She guided me through them and made the call when it was time to walk to Providence Hospital. Along with my husband riding our cargo bucket bike and 9-year old daughter walking with me, we walked the 1/2 mile to the hospital, stopping every minute or two for me to lean against her and have a contraction. She provided me with shelter and guidance. When we got to the hospital, I was taken up to the birth center and learned I was 5 cm dilated and felt a sense of accomplishment. The final 5 occurred over 3 hours between the tub and the yoga ball in the bathroom. Sarah was my crutch during the hardest ones. My family doctor, who knew my birth plan well, showed up and they, along with the nurses, worked together to let me know it was time to get on the bed and push. I squatted in reverse on the bed, holding tight to the railings. With every push, I could feel baby Penelope make her way through the birth canal, with intense pressure. I asked Sarah to guide me through the ring of fire so I wouldn't tear. We took it slow, allowing the head to crown, stop, head halfway out and back in, stop, head out, stop, shoulder out, stop, arm out, stop and then her body fell gracefully to the bed between my legs. I scooped her up, the nurses helped me untangle from the cord so I could turn around and sit with her. They toweled Penelope off, I scooted over and her new mama came over crying and sat next to me and I got to hand over the most beautiful thing in the world to the person who had wanted her most. I looked up at the room and everyone was smiling and taking in the moment, including Sarah. This was the most magical day of my life. I can't recommend her and Charli enough. Having a doula or midwife is a serious luxury in giving birth and I also attribute my fast recovery (casually walking and biking within a week) to them. I needed no epidural, emergency treatments or stitches.
