Outstanding experience! We throughly enjoyed the game and can't wait to come back and try a new room. Laszlo is exceptional.

Black Love Rocks! Happy Valentines Day to all the lovers out there.

For my first Escape Room experience, I am truly impressed. Midge was the best host!! From the time we entered the facilities, we had to be in Character. I won't spoil the experiment by describing what all goes on. Our group escaped from the Jazz Parlor. Upon researching the venue, they listed their completion statistics, and I chose the room with the highest rate to give our group the best chance of success. If you're looking for more of a challenge then choose a room with a lower rate of success. There is a room where you're immersed in complete darkness for 30 minutes so you'll have to be much better at communicating. It was great that our group of 8 people knew each other and made it easier to work together. Midge also provided additional clues and some hints along to way. It was such a fun way to spend Valentine's Day instead of going out to eat. This place is great for couples, or friends, and even tourists looking for activities to do in and around New Orleans. Can't wait to return and try another room.

    We escaped!

This was our first time to Escape My Room and it definitely won't be our last! Each tiny piece of decoration was chosen with such great thought. From the entrance you can tell it's going to be a good experience. We escaped the Mardi Gras room which is the beginner level room so we'd like to try some of the others. Overall great family trip

Didnt know WHAT to expect. It was fun that way and we're anxious to go again. Its next to a delicious Japanese restaurant that we loved so its fun to do both in one day. Next time we come to NOLA we'll go back! The inventor's attic was really a BLAST! We struggled at first with a clue that was hard to read and as we left we did a scavenger hunt in the lobby but some of the clues were missing. That was literally the only hiccups. We had a TON of fun playing around with the other clues and puzzles and Wren, our helper in the intercom wings, was always there to help too when we got stuck. There were 3 of us and we did a "divide and conquer" technique until we got to clues that needed more brain power or "you read that while I do this"-ing. Ohmygosh it was just the BESSSST first escape room experience I could've hoped for and I've cherished it ever since. So MY JAM. Thank you so much!!!

I came here with a group of 5 people on a Saturday night. We did the Mardi Gras Study room. We were running late 5 minutes but the staff were very nice and were fine with it. I've done Escape the Room in NYC and it doesn't even compare. The host, the ambiance, and the rooms were so elaborate. The host Antoinette was very helpful and gave unlimited hints which was great. Without giving too much away, there was a well thought out story and so many crazy surprises. It was the most fun I've ever had in an Escape the Room. If I'm ever back in New Orleans, I would definitely come back and try their other rooms. I heard that the Smuggler's Den room is played completely in the dark which sounds awesome.

Fun, low key way to spend an afternoon. The decor is bizarre, unique, and a lot of fun! We did the Mardi Gras study. We required a little more help than we would have liked, but we did need it to complete the task. Our guide, Penny, did help us, but also always asked if we wanted a clue before giving it. There are several other rooms to do. The one we did was about solving a mystery about a hidden treasure. There are also murder mysteries and other rooms. This was worth the time!

Wow.... one of the BEST escape rooms that I have ever been in. Wasn't easy and very challenging however isn't that what you want? Our team made it out in the nick of time... 58 minutes!!! Our super host was Jax who was hilarious! He kept us entertained thru out the whole time.

I did Smuggler's Den, Inventor's Attic, and Jazz Parlor. They were my 71, 72, and 73rd escape rooms, respectively. I can't say these were the best rooms I have ever done (that honor belongs to a room in Amsterdam), but they were pretty close. They are definitely must-do's if you are an enthusiast and live in the United States. The thing Escape My Room does better than any other room is create an atmosphere where everything fits together as part of a broader story. From how you enter, to what you do in the sitting room while you wait, to orientation, to the walk to the room, to the room itself, and the photos at the end--everything flowed seamlessly. It's as immersive as it gets. The rooms themselves were almost flawless. There was very little I would do differently, and even those would come down to preference and not necessarily make the rooms any better. The rooms are non-linear for the most part, but you always know what you should be doing even if it takes you some time to figure out how to do it. And there are several a-ha moments (always a good thing). I prefer them in reverse order of the way we did them--the rooms kept getting better. Five full stars easy. PS. David was an awesome game master.

So...we didnt make it out!! Im still bitter. Lol. This was a fantastic experience. I have done 2 of these at another location but this place exceeded my expectations. I dont wanna give away too much but literally from the time you arrive, you are in the game so to speak. Everyone we encountered remained in character throughout our experience. The decor is awesome and nostalgic. We chose the Inventor's Attic room. We thought it was so intriguing and pretty hard if i do say so. I am definitely looking forward to trying all of the rooms. They are also located in a spot thats in walking diatance of a few bars and restaurants. Score!

I want to do the smugglers denfor my dad's birthday. I think he's active enough and well abled but how dark is the game really and how much crawling really?

Thanks for your question Maddy. More than half of the Smuggler's Den happens in complete darkness. The Crawling is limited to about 10 ft of crawling with at least 3 ft of clearance on all sides. We are also willing to make accommodations if anyone… Read more

Extremely high production value (which will cost you) and the scariest room we've ever done…read more We only did 3 of the 5 Mystere Escape Rooms because we are not yet exploring the realm of live zombie rooms and we were told their Ghost Lab is simply too difficult for two people. Of course now we want to go back to the Ghost Lab just to see how we do. This place has by far the highest production value we have ever seen but it will cost you - rooms are $39.95 plus tax (lower for LA residents). We have to talk about The Serial Killer's Lair at length because it's clearly a major draw for this facility. Based on the Saw movie series, this was a must-do for me, a mega Saw fan. For the Saw fans - you are going to love some aspects and... be less than enthused by others. You know how Jigsaw finds imitation somewhat... distasteful? You may too when faced with pop-out scare tactics that are beneath the psychological thrills which made you a Saw fan in the first place. Probably the most frustrating aspect of these haunted house gimmicks was that they were COMPLETELY unnecessary as there are plenty of very authentic aspects which are scary as hell without random loud noises. But we digress. For any thrill seeker who also happens to enjoy Escape Rooms, this is the room for you. As usual, we do all rooms with just the two of us. We did not escape the Serial Killer Lair and thought we weren't even close, but it turns out we were on the final task. We were definitely derailed by a LOT of fear. In other words, this room is doable for two people (even though it advertises as a 4-12 player room) but also lends itself to a large group. The room isn't actually that hard if you are a fearless beast with night vision. Items of note: You are VERY much in the dark the entire time, so take that into account if you have vision impairment. Also, this room is NOT kid friendly, nor should anyone with a heart condition participate. If you can't handle a haunted house, you CAN'T handle this room. We thought of bailing several times but were proud that we stuck with it and overcame some fears, so there's that. After getting the ever living bejeezus scared out of us, we did Treasure Hunt and The Game Room (roughly based on Indiana Jones). We were successful in the Treasure Hunt and unsuccessful (though barely!) in the Game Room. Both are doable with two people but Treasure Hunt is the best room for smaller groups. Recommend a bigger group for Game Room unless you are experienced. Once again - insanely high production value on both rooms. Treasure Hunt may pose some issues for a claustrophobic person. Both are very family friendly. The staff (JC, David, and Johnny) was very friendly and flexible to our desired schedule and desired group size (always remember that this may not be the case if they are busy). Puzzle design is mostly solid, though weakest in the Serial Killer Lair. Regardless, the Serial Killer Lair was an unforgettable experience we will be talking about for a long time, and we recommend that you visit this facility to try one or more of their rooms. The Escape Couple Note: If you visit our site, you will see that we gave Mystere 4 stars, This is based on our national scale - Mystere definitely qualifies as a 5-star facility in NOLA.

Came here with a group of 6-7 friends and did the zombie embalming room. I was so scared but so entertained!! We "died" but I didn't care. I plan to do each of the other rooms they offer. I posted a review for their downtown location a while back, but I'll post one for this location too…read moresince I just went to do the Game Museum room there. Clue Carré is the best option for escape rooms in the New Orleans area! I've done 5 rooms with them and each one was SO much fun!!! It's a bit cheaper than other companies, they have many room options, the employees are always friendly and helpful, plus your game is private. The rooms are about $35 per person, so it's less expensive than other companies. They have 8 rooms across their different locations. I've enjoyed 5 of them so far and each one was cleverly and fantastically set-up, staffed with friendly employees. The great thing about this company is that each room is a private experience. If you book the room during one of the time slots for any number of players (even just yourself), the room becomes closed to other people. You can show up and bring more people than you booked for (just pay for extra players when you get there), but no one outside of your party will join you. You don't have to worry about random uncooperative strangers playing the game with you when you get there! I highly recommend Clue Carré! The ambiance, the clues, the mechanisms are always on-theme and on-point. Some of the tasks we've had to accomplish weren't all easy, and we always have to ask for a few hints, but the challenge is part of the fun! There are usually a lot of tasks to accomplish within an hour, so it's meant for more than two people, but we typically get very close to the end with just my boyfriend and I even if we don't finish. Everything is all really well thought out! The only thing about this company that I don't love is that they don't give you a few extra minutes to complete the room even when you're SO close. At another company, they gave us a few extra minutes when they knew we were close, and they gave us a little bit of leniency because they knew we had only 2 people as opposed to their recommended 4-5. These games can be hard to complete with less people because you can't divide and conquer as much. BUT, I think their policy here is to not give time extensions because they rank their room difficulty levels by success rates. (If they gave too many people extensions to complete the games, all of the success rates would become close to 100% and their ranking system wouldn't work.) Plus, they need time to reset the room for the next group too. I LOVE Clue Carré!!! I'm coming back to do the rest of their other rooms!
