We just did their Great Outdoors room a couple of weeks ago, and what can I say? It was top notch and a lot of fun. Many of the escape rooms we've done at other places just make you solve a dozen puzzles that are all similar. Solve a numeric code. Solve another numeric code. Boring. But, this place's escape rooms have a much wider variety of types of puzzles to solve, and it's much more fun than just solving one number code after another. You have to figure out how to open one room, which leads to another room, which leads to another room, each room with different types of puzzles to solve. We still needed a few clues here and there, but, overall, the puzzles were tough, but not unsolvable. I don't want to give away too many details that would ruin the puzzles for readers. I'll just say that the rooms are quite clever, and full of nice surprises. We are in this town only about once a year, but, you can bet that we'll be back again next year. This bunch of escape rooms at this location is superior to the ones we tried at a different place up the road from a different organization. I think this outfit has the best escape rooms in the Dells.

If you haven't done escape rooms before, you should definitely do the Mars one. It's fun for beginners. It's also cheaper and takes a shorter time duration. There aren't as many puzzles to solve as the middle level or most difficult one. But, it's still quite fun to do. The most fun is in the tornado room. They had an option to do it with the lights on or off, and we chose to leave the lights on. There is enough going on already, and we didn't need to be distracted by having it be too dark. The puzzles are a little tougher, and this one takes a full hour to finish. The theme is great, and the variety of things to solve is perfect. It's not just a routine of solving one number code after another. The toughest one is the Titanic room. And, I can't help but lower my rating of this place from 5 stars to only 4 stars as a result. I don't mind that it's tougher. That's fine, and that's not the reason I am deducting a star. There's a difference between making something tougher, vs. making something that absolutely nobody would understand. This room is around half of the size of the tornado room, yet, it has double the amount of things to solve. And, frankly, some of the puzzles are just a bit too cryptic for my liking. They just went a little too far with confusing things to figure out, that didn't really lead anywhere. It's a shame, because 70% of this room has some really great features that most people will really have fun with. But, about 30% of the stuff you need to solve is just impossible without taking clues from the staff, and even after getting the clues, it still doesn't make much sense. And, they really need to make this one 1.5 hours long to accommodate all of the things you need to finish. Overall, though, I'd recommend any of these rooms, even the difficult Titanic room. I just think that room needs a little more time allotted, and a bit of tweaking to a few of the puzzles to make them more reasonable.

It's a really unique and immersive experience!…read more I would say it's geared a little more towards children. The artwork reminds me of Neopets. The starting entry price is $30 for two hours. You can do all day for $35. If you have the Dells card Wizard Quest for 2 hours is on it! There are a lot of puzzles and they state the difficulty and time it takes. The worlds cover two floors and about 3 store spaces in length. Be prepared to climb stairs, squeeze through narrow passageways, crawl into tunnels, etc. So wearing a long dress isn't advisable. They have a snack bar and at least one hint helper. There were also 2-3 restrooms. After about an hour our group got tired and left early. But that's a personal thing. We finished about 3-4 puzzles in that time. While it wasn't as cold as a movie theater it was still somewhat of a break from the humid heat outside. Highly recommend if you're in a group with young children. Older children and adults may not enjoy it as much unless they're really into fantasy worlds.

The website explained that it was a tablet directed quest game and would take about an hour. However, that's out of date. The time allotted for a single game was two hours. Be warned when setting the parking meter! Basically there are four "realms" that each offer quests. When you see a tablet, you can choose to interact with it and accept or deny a quest. You can accept the quest via your group's tablet by selecting the appropriate symbol. Then the wild goose chase begins. Clues send you all over the place to talk to characters and collect the virtual items. Up stairs, through secret passages, tunnels and more. Rarely did we encounter teams that were following the same quest at the same time we were so that was great. As crowded as it got in certain areas, we were all kind of doing our own thing. I believe there were around 16 quests that could be completed, all with varying levels of difficulty and length of time to complete. We made it through 4, and part way through another in our two hours. I was amazed by the level of detail that went into the planning and decoy of this game and all the rooms. It was more interactive than I had anticipated and also tiring! But what a fun afternoon. I'd love to go into more detail but I don't want to spoil anything. The price was fair for the experience and I highly recommend coming here. I am definitely planning another road trip back!

The room we went into had some cool gadgets and gears but lacked a lot of props and decor. I took off a couple of stars because our room was not set up properly prior to our start. We spent most of our time on one puzzle and we were still able to finish but had to use many hints. When we walked out, we asked the game master about this particular puzzle and he realized that it had not been set up so we would have never been able to get our next clue. Had this room been properly set up, we should have gotten out with almost 30 minutes to spare. It's only $20 per person which is cheaper than most escape rooms. However, I felt that the puzzles were more simple than my past experiences. If you've never done an escape room, give this place a try!
