I've reported them to city code. During the winter months they don't pick the leaves up, they blow it all in the streets. Throw small branches and laid them on my neighbors lawn. I've called several times because they've missed trimming shrubs and other things around the yard. This company is basically a joke. You tell the guys and it goes in one ear and goes out the other. Smoking and talking on the phone is more important to them.

Until I realized how exhausting lawn upkeep on a large property can be. Once a week, for hours, I would push mow, pick up debri, cleanup, and that wasn't including edging or bush trimming. I have a manual labor job full time during the week. More labor on the weekend just wasn't for me. Nations has done nothing but provide excellent, excellent service. And are very affordable considering all of the service we get. Once a week their guys come out and service our property. Mowing, edging, cleanup. They also trim any bushes and clean those up as standard practice. We have a very large bougainvillea on the edge of our front lawn. If it isn't maintained, it easily engulfs the sidewalk. Nations includes the trimming of that extremely large bush as standard practice! They trim right along the sidewalk so it doesn't block it, and every so often, trim it off the ground about a foot. Another great service is the fact that Steve answers simple text messages. If my wife feels she wants our palm tree or crepe myrtles trimmed (which, of course, are an added service), she simply texts him, which he responds to in a timely manner, and the trees are trimmed the following service. The crews that tend our lawn are almost always on time with their service. Typically the same day every week, with the exception of bad weather or holidays, in which they still make it out the next day. They always do an excellent job with our lawn. Professional job and professional clean up. Listen to this, this is how great their crew is: Our palm tree is next to our drive way. Our driveway is composed of brick. During parts of the season, the palm tree drops a ridiculous amount of seeds. Seeds the size of walnuts. These walnut sized seeds land on the brick, and wedge themselves in betweem the cracks of the bricks. These are a pain to get out. I usually have to individually fish them out they get so mashed in from driving on them. Brooming or kicking them usually doesn't clear them. Yet somehow, someway, Nations crews gets ALL of them off my driveway. ALL of them. Its as if they never fell off the tree in the first place. I love it. Today they impressed me yet again. It had rained a better part of the afternoon. I got home just before five pm. It had just finished raining. And this Nations crew STILL showed up at the same time and did the job in a professional and timely manner. Didn't cut corners to beat the rain or avoid getting wet. And still left my yard looking gorgeous despite it being a wet and overcast day. Seeing as how it was the end of the day, I should have offered them a few beers for their troubles.

Because it wasn't communicated from the beginning and was later stipulated I asked for a price reduction. They agreed to $150 for 400 sq. ft. but sadly this didn't cover the entire original order and in order to get the additional half pallet or so I would have had to pay $300 total.
