After 10 yrs and multiple attempts of trying to find a shop from the I E to LA with someone who was willing to help me, a co-worker recommend Victor. Being that I hadn't found anyone who was willing to take on this challenge, I wasn't expecting much. But to my surprise, Victor was not only willing, but excited to take on this task. He had such a great attitude and outlook on the task ahead of him. Brimming with confidence, he gave me self assurance that he was able to make this finally happen for me. From our initial conversation, which was very professional, Victor gave me a great feeling of certainty that he would have no problem creating something beautiful. I can honestly say that his passion for creating such remarkable pieces of art made me feel comfortable.... Knowing that he didn't see me as just another dollar sign, but as another display of his creativity and astonishing skills as an artist. Being super down to earth as well as polite, created a very smooth and stress free environment for me during the process. Nothing but total and complete comfort during my entire 3 hour session. When completed, he went to great lengths to explain all after care instructions to ensure that I understood all the proper precautions I needed to take. I have never had a tattoo before and I was wanting something to honor my daughter who died in 2009. I have been thinking about it for a long time, but wasn't sure on design, placement, and I didn't know which artist to go to so I hesitated, procrastinated and now almost 9 years later, I was finally ready. Victor was recommended to my older 19 year old daughter a year ago and when I went with her last year for her tattoo I was very impressed with Victor and his warmth and friendliness and how organized, clean and professional is place is.. so I decided the timing was finally right and for my daughter's 10th birthday I got a memorial tattoo of her tiny little foot with her name on my foot. I absolutely love it! Footprints are not easy to do, there is a lot of detail. Victor did an amazing job and the tiniest details of her footprint were taken into consideration. I have received so many compliments on my tattoo and it is beautiful. I am so happy I waited for the right time and the right artist and now I have a beautiful tattoo to remember my daughter. I have to be honest; I may have somewhat of a biased opinion because I have known Victor for the better part of my life, and I have two pieces of art by him on my body. What is driving me to write this review is the way he handled my 18 year old daughter. We recently went to Victor because we were wanting to have a mother/daughter tattoo done. We had ideas of what we wanted, but he really took it to the next level and made the design special and unique to symbolize our bond. He was also really good about sitting down with my daughter and explaining the process to her, and explaining the difference between the experience she would get from him versus going into a public tattoo shop. He even went so far as asking her to go in to a shop to see what it was like and how she was treated. That way she would know that the experience she got from him was individualized, private, and comfortable. As everyone else has said, Victor's studio is as clean as it gets, and he makes sure his clients have the best experience possible. I have 3 smaller tattoos, but I had a large, sentimental piece that I have wanted for years. For something this big and important to me, I started researching artists. After watching some of Vic's work on his Instagram, I was really impressed so I decided to go ahead and schedule a consultation. From the minute I walked in I felt comfortable. It is a private studio and super nice. He sat with me, asked questions and took time to get to know me and what I wanted. The design process was GREAT! He worked with me on what parts were most important and he was very honest about what he thought would work and what wouldn't. I will not trust anyone else with my tattoos. So far Victor has done 3 pieces for me, 1 smaller piece on my leg and two larger pieces on my shoulder. I could not be happier with how they turned out. Victor works out of the comfort of his own home which personally I prefer over a traditional tattoo parlor. Firstly I believe it is good for the guy giving you a tattoo to be as comfortable as possible, after all the ink he's putting in your skin is there for life and you want his best work. Secondly I believe that tattoos are a personal experience and you should get what you truly want, not something you think you want because your friends told you so at the time. Victor does a terrific job of really getting to know about who you are and what you want your tattoo to represent/symbolize/honor before he draws you up a sketch. Bottom line Victor is a top notch artist at a good price, thus yes I do recommend him to all my friends. The best tattoo experience I've had hands down. The moment I walked in for my appointment, which I showed up early for by the way Victor was ready to go. He walked me through the steps of making sure everything we had previously spoken of were what I still wanted and then reviewed the stencil with me and what to expect. I had been tattooed by other artists prior to this but, Victor is by far the best and most professional I've come across. Extremely clean studio, and awesome environment to get tattooed in. Got my first Tattoo at 59 years old, I had "loved 2/23/80" put on the inside of my ring finger just for me. I LOVE IT.
